Unfortunately I was rescheduled to sumone else and then they cancelled my appointment altogether with no rescheduling offered (sumthing came up on his calendar) I know this is the south but my business is completely legit and very profitable. I recommend against using the Evans, GA H&R Block location and H&R Block products generally for tax…read morepreparation. I filed my return for tax year 2016 in this office. H&R Block made an error on my return (failing to claim a deduction to which I was entitled), which I discovered after filing. This error would have cost me almost $1000 had I not found it. I invoked the Maximum Refund Guarantee, which they list prominently in their advertising and on their website, stating that if I find an error, they will refund my tax prep fee. Despite the fact that they acknowledged making the error, and that all the conditions required for the guarantee have been met, they refused to refund my money in accordance with their guarantee. When I contacted their corporate office, they, too, refused to honor their guarantee. In my mind, a company that offers a guarantee and then refuses to live up to it is not a trustworthy company, and I don't know about you, but I certainly don't want an untrustworthy company preparing my tax returns - that's something that's too important to mess up. Update: I eventually got my refund, but it took 2 months and a Better Business Bureau complaint.

Liz Conceicao helped us but she provided an atrocious example of customer service and an even worse example of a knowledgeable tax professional. She spent more than half the time coming across errors on the form where she was not able to get past. She kept going back and forth to her book, but even that seemed to confuse her more. Another "Tax Professional" saw she was struggling and came to help her. Instead of accepting the help so we can move on, she began arguing and bickering with the other individual. Both employees were arguing back and forth even though both had customers waiting. It was very unprofessional! Eventually after the third time of getting help, Liz finally was able to move past it. She had manipulated a lot of numbers trying to get things to work and had forgotten what she had done. I asked her about it and reminded her one portion of tax credit information needed to be changed. She is supposed to be the professional, so why should I need to remind her she made an error trying to fix another error. At the end of it, she finally obtained a refund amount. We were however skeptical of the number because she seemed to not know what she was doing. She responded by simply saying it comes from what we just covered. Afterward she came across a screen that had recommendations of how I can change things for next year. Instead of going over it she said these are some recommendations from Watson, but quickly went to another screen. I did not have a chance to look at them nor did she go over any of them. At this point it was just about 5:00 pm so it seemed like she was trying hurry things up so she can go home. One of the final things she asked was if she could book us again for next year. My fiance was very dissatisfied so I denied the request. However, she ignored her response and merely told us to just cancel it via email if we don't want to come back. Liz seemed to not know anything about how to do taxes or anything about how to deal with people. This was a horrible experience and we will not be coming back!
