When I walked into 301 S. Sheridan Lakewood, CO 80226 I never felt so ashamed for asking for a loan. The way everyone looked at me when I walked in was like I was covered in dogsh*& and smelled just the same. Nobody knew my circumstanses nor did they care. I pulled out my title, my drivers license and started the application. They had me go to my vehicle and they looked it over, had me start the car and drive back and forward. Now mind you, I have a 1995 Chevy Blazer with a few dings and such. I get it. She's an old vehicle. She's been beat (like me, running from an abusive boyfriend, hence, why I SO DESPERATELY NEEDED THIS LOAN). During the paperwork process they get on the phone with their supervisor and are discussing my vehicle. Let's just say that they were not at all professional and made me feel worse than I already did. I didn't ask to get beat and abused, and I needed a way out. That WAS my way out. So needless to say, I walked away feeling battered and bruised AGAIN. They denied my loan and sent me on my way. Last night, he hit me so many times I lost count. I will probably die by the hands of this man. If Loanmax would have given me the loan, I would have been gone to a safe shelter and finaly free of this hell. I was initially told over the phone by one of the reps that I could delay payments for 90 days and that I could register to become a new member at the time of closing on the purchase of my new vehicle. Then I look at my app and see payment due: End of March. I call and Im told that this is incorrect. Does your phone lines know what you can offer people or not? When I arrived at this particular branch, I initially had an appointment with another banker who was nowhere to be found. Thankfully Chase Gonzales was able to assist me. I was told that none of my information had been transferred over by the over the phone agent from earlier, and that all of my data was stuck in Pueblo(not sure if it was with Berenice Garcia, but that's who I received an email from on 2/11/25). Chase instructed me to call Pueblo to remedy this, to which I was quite frankly a little appalled at. I understand that my auto loan is probably a small fraction of your quarterly business revenue, but it should have been done already by your team. Do you want my interest charges or not? I go to chamber of commerce meetings and networking events everywhere around Denver and have come to befriend people who work in credit/loans. The final issue I had was that I originally requested for my payment to be sent out on the 8th of the month, not the 1st. I opened my app and saw that it was set up for the 1st of the month. I had to spend additional time out of my day to go to the Fed Ex nearby and print out new documentation and send it off again. An additional $0.50 was added to my monthly payment which is annoying, because it should have been done from the beginning of the process. I was originally being told that I would have to use one of my dates to change this. Chases attitude was great throughout this process and I understand its hard to do your job when things aren't really your fault or responsibility originally but its not necessarily mine either.
