For about five to six years I had two accounts with this bank, and had no problems. My accounts…read morewere linked together, so that if one became overdrawn it would borrow from the other. I found out the hard way that the linking only goes one way, so if the other account was overdrawn it would not borrow from the main account. When I inquired as to why this was, I was referred to Tammy Boytim, who was a manager. She had been rude to me on a previous occasion, and on this one was as well. I told her since they did not explicitly tell me the linking of accounts did not go both ways, I felt like I should get a refund of the $32 overdraft fee. Her response was to lecture me, saying "you should manage your accounts better." I closed out both accounts and will not bank with them again. People who deal with customers have no business speaking to them like that. Not to mention she is butt ugly.

About 6 months ago, I moved my accounts to that same branch of bancorpsouth (checking and savings)…read more I worked with Tammy Boytim, the branch manager, to complete this and she was extremely friendly and professional. I mentioned that I was considering a home equity loan and I can't BELIEVE how much she was able to save me compared to the offer I got from my previous bank. Bancorpsouth's offer was so good in fact, that a good friend of mine has also been able to get this same deal. She can't stop telling me how wonderful Tammy Boytim and the employees have been and how much taking this loan with them has given her a lot of peace of mind. I certainly understand that Jonathan R. perceived his interaction negatively, but I feel the need to say that calling this branch manager "butt ugly" is laughably not true, is offensive, and is inappropriate on so many levels it's ridiculous. Thanks to Ms. Boytim and all the other wonderful employees who make me feel valued every time I come in! Teresa K.
