The attendants were absolutely wonderful. It was £7 for 1 load in a washer (and only an extra £0.50 for soap) and £3 for 1 load in a dryer. It took about 25 minutes to wash a fairly large load (relative to the machine), and 30 minutes to dry. They are cash only which can be tough for foreigners, but there is a cash machine outside the nearby Sainsbury's. There's no concern about clothes getting taken if you step out for a few minutes as the attendants are very present and helpful, and they even let my brother and I eat our food inside the facility while we waited. Overall great experience and super easy way to get some laundry done while traveling! read more

I've only ever used this place for dry cleaning, so I couldn't comment on the launderette side of things, but if it's as bad as their dry cleaning service then I can safely say I won't be finding out. Yes, it was quite a quick turnaround as it only took 4 days. And yes, it was pretty good value at less than £5 for a suit jacket. But quite what they did to my jacket I have no idea, it came back just as dirty as when I'd sent it away. Next time I'd rather pay a bit extra and actually get my stuff cleaned! read more

Do not take your clothes here to be dry cleaned. Though the people who work here are always pleasant and this place has a lot of washer dryers for those who need them, this establishment should not be relied on to dry clean clothing and return them undamaged. I brought in a sweater and I was told that Ace sends dry cleaning to an outside service. When I came to pick up my sweater, it had a hole in the front that would roughly align with my belly button. The sweater had no snags or tears when I brought it in and it was only worn a couple of times. read more

I needed to do some laundry midway through my vacation. ACE was only a short walk from Old Town. I got here at opening 8:00 a.m. and was greeted by the friendly staff who exchanged my GBPs into tokens for the washing machine (washing machines only accept tokens). this place is the bomb for cleaning I had a terrible stain in my favourite shirt that would never come out then I heard about this place so I took my clothes that had stains in them down there and 1 day later I got them back with no stains to be seen it was like brand new clothes altogether and the delivering is fantastic to never late read more

Don't bother sending your clothes out to be cleaned here if you care about them. Mine came back bunched up in a bag, wet and terribly wrinkled. They were, however, delivered at the time promised. read more

There's usually a long wait and a grumpy woman who goes out of her way not to help you. The prices aren't too bad and it's near lots of shops so you can go and run errands while you wait for your laundry. read more

After seeing the reviews I was hesitant! But out of necessity and proximity I tried it out! I found the lady in the morning and the lady in the afternoon to be attentive and friendly. Our clothes were all returned DRY and folded(as best they could in the ages we provided). Maybe we just got lucky! So I'll leave it as a four for now! read more

Just got back to my hotel, opened the bag of laundry I had washed and supposedly dried, and found everything to be wet and wrinkled. Also, I had taken my dirty clothes in a plastic bag, handed the lady a nice bag, which I had just bought at a store for the purpose of having my clean clothes put in it. When I pick up my clothes, they were in the dirty clothes bag, and the new one was nowhere to be found. Avoid this place unless you want to do sightseeing in wrinkled wet duds. read more

Don't bother. The first time i used this wash-dri-fold, I got back to the b&b with my suitcase only to find that the jeans and sweatshirts were not dry. Next time, I mentioned this, so she added a pound to the price. Still not dry. No thanks. read more

I can't disagree more with these reviews. I have a rental flat which I let out during the Festival and there are lots of linens and duvets to wash. Did it all myself last year and it took ages but the staff there were really friendly and helpful. This year a service wash was good value and they were as helpful and efficient as ever read more
