About 3 hours before the seminar was to begin they left me a message to cancel my reservation saying it was 'over booked'. This was a lie since when we got the room was half full when the presentation started. It was not over booked and the reason for canceling was I had attended the seminar once before even though they sent me another invitation. I wanted to attend the seminar to try to get another advisor since I did not want to purchase an annuity. I met with Neal Mager in March and early April to discuss my portfolio thinking I would get financial advice. The seminars and meetings appear to be a pretext to sell annuities. In the first meeting with Neal I told him I did not like dealing with insurance companies. In the second meeting I was presented with a spread sheet displayed on the projector that indicated I would get about a 5% return on an annuity. I ask for a copy of the spread sheet so I could study the details but my request was denied. In my opinion the seminars and meetings are a slick marketing campaign designed to sell annuities - not to help with investing advice.
