I was recently gifted a set of golf clubs from my nephew.  And I haven't golfed in like 30 years,…read morebut that fact didn't deter him from gifting it to me, lol.   Well, if and before I hit up any golf courses, I first need to hit up a driving range, and so here I am on this day, and there will be need for more sessions lol.   This facility has a nice driving range setup.  I really don't know if it's tip-top state of the art, but it's plenty good.  They actually have 4 separate driving ranges.  3 of them are built into the back of their main building and on 3 separate levels - their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors actually.   The bays in these ranges used to have member card readers, but these were recently replaced with keypads that use a registered user online account to charge your prepaid account for the number of balls hit. Each bay has automated ball and tee dispensers which is quite nice, and it's like being spoon-fed your tee shots!  The 4th station is in a grass area where you can hit naturally off the grass.  The current cost is 21.8 cents per ball on the grass.  On the driving range bays, it's 13.0 cents per ball for seniors.  It's a high tech and convenient operation here and their driving range ball rates seem reasonable, so it's a big thumbs up from me and the facility certainly met my needs.

Used it ONCE within 5 days and found multiple defects: 1 Bag is way too heavy, poor design 2 Wheels are unbalanced, doesn't roll straight 3 No brakes - when taken off the cart, it slides away and hit my foot Today is September 8th, and I came to return or exchange the golf bag with all tags still attached. When I tried to return it, the owner REFUSED, saying "the wheels have signs of use." Let me ask: What am I supposed to do with a WHEELED golf bag if I can't roll it on the ground? Carry it in my arms everywhere? And seriously -- when you buy a suitcase from a store, do you carry it out in your arms? No, you roll it. Same logic applies to a wheeled golf bag. That's literally what wheels are for! So their claim that 'wheels show signs of use' is completely invalid. To make it worse, the owner also said "it can't be resold after being used" and that refunding me would be "cheating the next customer." So do you throw away every hat, shirt, and pair of shoes that customers try on in your store? Hypocritical nonsense. I was planning to buy an On Off driver today. They're charging the latest model price, but I'm not sure if this club is actually the latest model. So I decided to forget about it. Not only are there quality issues with the products, but the after-sales service is completely unreliable, and the pricing isn't honest either. Everyone, please be very careful. The golf center should consider replacing the golf shop called "Dream Shop."it's a nightmare!

However, Todd W is the opposite of all of the above. Thus, Sunset Meadows came into play for a very close locale for him to hit golf balls. Good thing I was able to occupy myself...! Sunset Meadows is actually pretty cool and convenient. It's easy in and out from Kirchoff, the baskets of balls are quite affordable and there's a smattering of things to do if you're not golf savvy. Baby W and I took a nice long walk around the perimeter - swooping along the path a few times around. I imagine it's just under one mile all the way around. There's also an astroturf putting green, a handful of (drink) vending machines and a pretty nicely put together park for the kiddos to play. Because I didn't complain too much, I imagine we'll be back here soon for all of the above.

Dink, drink, pink, blink, wink…read more We hosted a charity event recently and the great people at Dinx Social Club helped make it happen. This is a great looking pickleball facility with nice courts, a bar and plenty of parking. There's a private area, a golf simulator, and lots of seating. - clearly marked courts so it's easy to dink - nice setup with plenty to drink (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) - trendy lounge areas, decor, seating and classy looking (not like a gym, notes touches of pink) - paddles and balls are provided, no need to blink - you'll have a great time (even me, the ultimate beginner, got to get back to lessons) ;) Our event was a success, with lots of pickling and fun had by seasoned players and beginners alike. The staff was great and helped everything run smoothly. I'm not a good enough player (yet) to purchase a membership but this would definitely be fun to rent a few courts for some time with friends.

My friend hosted a bunch of us at this brand new gorgeous pickleball (and everything else) club in honor of her 50th. The people who work here could not have been nicer. I'm pretty sure we overstayed our welcome, but they patiently waited for us to end our celebration - and with a smile! The main attraction is pickle and they have gorgeous pickleball courts for just that. The technology is also pretty amazing with digital scoreboards and even a replay feature. This will come in handy when i play with my children who seem to cheat at all racquet ball sports. They also have golf simulators, karaoke (coming soon), pickleball classes (for youth too) and an adorable shop with pickleball attire. As for food they serve one of my favorite local businesses, hometown. And they have a self serve pour wall for those thirsty for a glass of wine. The only thing i kept thinking was missing was nighttime bar food, but I see on their website that food trucks will be making the rounds nights/weekends so they have that covered too. I foresee myself coming here for pickleball classes, GNO, hosting kid playdates and fun nights out with other couples. While my country club has great pickleball options during the warmer months, this is a great addition for the majority of the year when the weather is less than ideal in Chicago!

I have been to the Arlington Lakes Golf Club dozens of times but have never golfed here. I have…read morebeen to many special events held here by Frontier Days and the Arlington Heights Historical Museum. The main clubhouse has a large parking lot with an easily accessible entrance. The clubhouse went under a renovation not too long ago and looks very nice. The carpet and tables and chairs were replaced and the entire building was given a paint job. When you enter you immediately run into the pro shop. If you go upstairs you will find a full service bar and friendly bartenders. There is also a large meeting room, which can be rented for various occasions and events. The biggest complaint that I have is with the sound system. This has been a problem for years and has yet to be addressed. Overall, the Arlington Lakes Golf Club is a great space and is great for golf, drinks, and hosting events.

The bathrooms are easy to reach from either floor and there's both stairs and an elevator available to move between floors.
