The facilities are disgusting. Doors locked, filthy, and in drastic need of major repairs. When asked why does a customer have to search for someone to unlock, the response given "its because of the homeless". So because of this the entire customer base has to to suffer? All other grocery stores are able to maintain, keep facilities clean AND ACCESSIBLE, but not ACME in Salisbury. Why does the paying customers have to suffer because ACME Management cannot (or will not is probably more appropriate) fix the problem. The prices are the highest in the area, yet the facilities are the absolute worst on the entire Eastern Shore. Contratulations. read more

Being new to Salisbury, I found there are few grocery options. I was mainly going to Food Lion but decided to try Acme. Besides it being outdated/run down, I found that they had a better selection of fresh produce, organics, and higher end products over Food Lion. I agree they are higher priced than Food Lion or Walmart but I was impressed with their selection and higher end produce, baked goods, and products. I will be back. read more

This is the old Giant store which re-opened as ACME. Not much has changed except there is no longer the self scanning which I liked. The Produce and Deli seem to have fresh stuff. Prices through-out the store are a little higher than FoodLion or Walmart. They try to fit a large variety but the store isn't that large. The isles can barely fit two shopping carts at the same time....then add any floor displays, and you have to back up and maneuver around other people. The people who work there seem to be nice, but haven't had to deal with anyone except cashiers. The self check-out is nice when you have a smaller order. I don't like the parking lot. It seems the spaces are for sub-compact cars only. The whole parking lot is a little tight. All you need is to have a senior driving their huge late model Buick/Oldsmobile, which they can barely see over the dash, park near you. You may have a problem. I park away from the store. Be very careful of what you buy at Acme, especially produce. They have gotten better, but they used to put fresh basil on top of rotten basil in the container, spinach that goes bad faster than the sell-by date, etc. They don't have the same choice of products that Giant had, and the happy atmosphere in the store is not the same. Their standards aren't anywhere near the old Giant, and I miss it terribly. read more

I'm at the seafood section were the guy was on the phone. He stared at me for about 2 minutes, then left the counter and has been gone for 10 minutes now. There is starting to be a line and several of the staff have walked by without saying a word. Very disappointing as the seafood looks good. First time here, last time here. read more

Each time I've bought produce at this grocery store, it has been old-- too old! A package of spinach appeared okay from the outside, but when I went to serve it that night, much of it was wet and slimy. Likewise, a bag of oranges had been on the shelf way too long. read more

the frozen food i bought had thawed and was refrozen making the ice cream inedible. the celery had black specs covering the stalks. the store does not carry oat bran giant had two brands to choose from. the prices seem high on things i wanted. apples were $1 higher than walmart . the eclair in the refrigerated bakery was $2.19 vs 1.69 from giant the staff did not seem as friendly as giant staff i hope this will improve i like the location read more
