While the location was convenient (about a mile from where we were renting) I found this grocery store to be disappointing enough that I would drive further away to other grocery stores. The smell when you walk in is fairly off putting, the produce section was lackluster, and the prices there were fairly steep compared to other stores in the area. read more

Granted I only come here if I gotta drop a duece before I go to GNC, but I agree with the other reviews about this store stinkin' Although they seem to have remedied it at this point (too little too late as they say) one will never forget that wretched stench that would hit you in the face like a ton of bricks as you passed through their front doors. I went into this location today on my break at 6:30 pm Jan, 11,2024... I wanted a bottle of champagne out the locked case the older lady that had the key told another employee that I had to wait! I felt that was very rude she needs to learn some respect! I simply left and the store was out of my money! I took my business elsewhere. read more

The store is okay as far as supermarkets go, but the digital coupons are infuriating. There's nothing fun about standing in the frozen aisle and trying to figure out your stupid app or watching yourself miss out on deals in the checkout line because the darn system isn't recognizing the sale. I leave your store angry every time I go. Sales should be fun and exciting, not "gotchas." This is so rudimentary to business marketing, I have to conclude the CEO is an old timer who heard of this new tangled thing called "apps" that the kids use these days and then asked the young interns to develop one of their own. This app never should have made it onto the App Store and people should be fired for this nightmare. Hire some people with real marketing experience, please. read more

No idea who this grocery store is targeting as a customer. Higher end customers are going to Wegman's or Whole Foods. More cost-conscious are going to Aldi's or Walmart whose prices are notably better especially on produce ($.69/lb for bananas vs $.49/lb) which is 10-30% cheaper on almost every item. The bakery has a wide selection of items but they aren't particularly cheap nor is it as good as even Wegman's let alone an actual bakery. Organic, ethnic food, and prepared/hot meal selections are quite small and this is a store with very limited offerings beyond grocery items. Yeah it has the basics of a grocery store with a pharmacy and bank but beyond name recognition & familiarity I can't think why customers continue to shop here regularly. This is a grocery store from 20-25 years ago that unless they find a niche they likely won't be here in another decade given the increased competition in the area over the last 5 years. read more

During the COVID 19 pandemic this store has proven to be amazing. Very few times have I experienced any problems. Granted they don't always have what I am looking for but they are trying their best. Staff are friendly and check out is expeditious. read more

I was surprised that this Acme received a negative review. We have been coming here again as we have found this store to better stocked than some others during the pandemic including a better wine selection. The produce was fresh and we find what we need at a good price. read more

Will never again purchase already made cupcakes from the again. My husband purchased 3 containers or graduation cupcakes over the weekend. The expiration date was still good, but when we all went to eat them i noticed mold on them. So gross. I once worked at this location and in the bakery and we often had to do inventory checks on are dated cakes and cupcakes on the floor to make sure everything was okay. I don't know how the people working there we're not pulling these items. read more

Just tried to bake a 20-lb Acme brand frozen turkey purchased at West Chester/West Goshen store. There was feces on the legs and in the body cavity. Disgusting! Avoid! read more

Pros: store is nice, employees are nice, located by a lot of other shops, usual Acme selection if you're looking for that. Cons: Customer service counter closes at 8 pm even though they had in addition to three clerks checking people out, three more clerks just standing around. One of them could have been manning the counter at least part time. Also, it's a bit annoying that Acme got rid of its loyalty card program because now I need to manually enter receipts for some of my couponing points for Kelloggs instead of having it automatically added to my account when I use the card like at oh every single other supermarket and drugstore chain I shop at. read more

Be careful of their produce.. on so many occasions I have gotten home only to find mold on my strawberries and blackberries. The first time I just blew it off but it seems to be every time. I will no longer shop at Acme. read more

Absolutely RUDE people working there. Have yelled at my Mother more than once for asking where items were located. Terribly run and horribly managed. More than enough reason to never shop there again. They blatantly discriminate and against and berate the elderly. I will be contacting managers and corporate asap after this last unprofessional blowup on their part. They should be ashamed and staff should 100% be fired. read more
