We live right in between the Mount Holly store and another big grocery store in Mount Laurel. We have been going to both as they each have things the other one doesn't. We primarily go to the other store because it has much better produce and meat departments; however, this Acme has better selection in almost everything else. I can find almost everything I need in Acme, even stuff I have never seen when I lived in bigger cities. The thing I like most about this Acme is the people. The employees here are super helpful and friendly. I haven't had that experience at the other store. I don't know, maybe they can't think straight with all the noise. The produce section is not only small, but when we were there last week, the potatoes were all green. That led me to put any produce I had in my cart back, and this week I didn't bother even looking at the produce. These items have nothing to do with this store in particular: I'd love to see Acme get better carts (Albertson's -parent company- in Idaho has carts with drink and phone/list holders!). The one other thing is the Acme app. It needs to be closer to the Albertsons app, which shouldn't be difficult since Acme is part of Albertsons. I think the Acme app is not as easy to use. It only lets you choose between delivery and pickup when you are in your cart, you don't have the option to choose "shopping in store". I would like to be able to use the app as I'm going through the store, with the options to mark what I've picked up and what I still need to get and organized by aisle. I know the "list" tab can be sorted by aisle, but why isn't it possible to do that when I'm in the cart tab? read more

Meats are always fresh. They have good sales. Very friendly and helpful finding items.

I just wanted to say that Darcy from the bakery in Willingboro,NJ made and decorated my daughter's sweet 16 cake. She did such an amazing job. It was decorated so beautifully. It exceeded my expectations. She also was so patient with helping me to decide on the cake design. I also gave her a picture of a design I wanted for the cupcakes and she made them look exactly like the picture. If you ever need a cake decorated ask for Darcy. Thank you Darcy!!! read more

My mom and I adored this Acme. She let me get whatever I wanted. The cookie aisles were short in height and length- the perfect size for hobbits like me. I remember getting "Land O'Lakes" butter cookies. Best ones ever, but they were discontinued. This is where I got my first soy burger. I always ended up at the shampoo. I would investigate the Aussie products and wish that I could be in an Aussie ad. An older guy that we hung out with in the summer of '89 transferred to Acme from Super Fresh. I was too shy to say hello after he stopped coming around. I discovered that another guy that we slightly hung out with in 1988 worked at Acme circa 2000. A lot of girls sweated him. He had that baby face that at fourteen is acceptable, but usually goes the wrong way with time due to some weird force in the universe that afflicts people who get too much attention. He was lucky. He looked like a regular guy. I could feel him watching me. My strongest memory is of me seeing my best friend with his girlfriend in the very late nineties. I was happy to see him. He looked very handsome with the woman he was with. They contrasted each other. A few months later, he was mine. His ex told him that she could feel an energy between us in the Acme. She said she could tell by the way that he looked at me. We have now been married for a little over twenty years. We both recently agreed that the guy from '88 was nice, but that his brother was a jerk. Said bro was a total contrast. I discovered that I had forgotten my daughter's medicine on one of our trips to Jersey. The Acme pharmacy was very good about communicating with our Carolina pharmacy and making sure that we got the medicine. More recently, my daughter and I spent a lot of time in the Acme. She helped me pick out stuff and I let her get whatever she wanted. We marveled over brands that are not present in the South. We ended up at the body washes, poring over ingredients, prices, and scents. I wished that I could afford the Dove ones. We had a great time. At that time, our days were darkish. Looking at soap was a respite. My mom would have approved. She would have gotten the Neutrogena. Note: Check dates. My husband found mustard older than us. read more

The size and selection of this grocery store is about average to slightly below average when compared to others in the area. Their ads are fairly short, so they don't have as many items on sale in any particular week as other grocery stores do. But they do have at least a few good deals each week, and sometimes they have some great exclusive deals on their app. My biggest gripe is that they take FOREVER to get items tagged. Their sales start on Fridays. I can understand not having things tagged first thing in the morning. But there have been times when I have shopped there in the afternoon on Friday, and there were still many items not tagged. Ads can sometimes be ambiguous or just flat out incorrect, so tags are important to know if something you want is really on sale or not. Also, as of a month or two ago they started using carts that have to be unlocked using a quarter. This is extremely annoying and degrading. Gotta remember to get a quarter out of your car. Better remember to put it back in your car, or you might not have one for next time. Also, it can be a struggle to get the cart unlocked after you've inserted the quarter. Yeah, you're getting docked a star for that. read more

I went there to get 2 butter and had to wait almost 10 minutes for one to be Voided. The lady, I think they called her Kris, who was told to help me was just busy organizing the counters and having them ready for service. I was literally the first customer in and the Only one in all the check out counters!. She hardly paid attention to me despite her colleague requesting her to come over and help. Felt slighted. Her PR is awful. a different person assisted me. she acted biased towards me. not good is not a good enough review to give. Wish there was pathetic or awful! read more

Everything is always out of date here. Accidentally purchased popcorn kernels that were OVER A YEAR EXPIRED! The staff completely didn't care when I came back to exchange. I understand as a customer that I should always check dates on my products, but I also know that it is the responsibility of the management and their employees to be accountable for not selling outdated, unsafe products. I won't shop here again, I go out of my way to go to Shop Rite in Delran or Wegmans in Mount Laurel, because unlike this business and most in this immediate area, the managers and staff of those stores seem to care. read more

Went to the deli department today and there was so many flies flying around. They were on the workers and siting on the scales. I have witnessed this for the past 3 weeks. Today was the worst, so I walked away without getting anything. This cannot be sanitary! There must be something they can do! read more
