Hired this company to clean, patch and seal grout in my master bathroom. Communication was not good…read morefrom the start--owner flaked on the first scheduled appointment. Was not impressed with the quality of work when it was done, as there were areas that still looked dirty and crumbling. When I raised this, he was dismissive but patched a couple of other spots. A week later, the grout started melting/disintegrating in areas where it had been patched. I spent two weeks trying to get it repaired because the work is supposedly guarantees, and the communication has not been good. I had to follow up multiple times before getting the repair scheduled, and was asked to send a reminder text to him day of the repair. I rearranged work and sent a reminder text. No response and he flaked on that as well, and still no firm date on when he will make time for the repair. After two weeks, one of the tiles came out because the grout around it basically melted, so I can't wait any longer and keep following up. I'm giving 2 stars because the work on the bathroom floor was fine. Photos are from a few days after and then 2 weeks after the work was done.

The repairs were a cinch and the took care of them quickly. The mystery was solved. There was a minor hiccup where they had to return to clean up some stuff because the old grout had soaked in more water than expected, causing some of the new grout to run, but the were quick to return and do that touch up for us. This was a worst-case scenario. The installation used very expensive white marble from Ann Sacks…read morewith white epoxy grout from a company called Laticrete. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that their white grout can have a tendency to turn yellow over time. I also later learned that many professional tile installers refuse to use Laticrete white epoxy grout because of this issue. Because epoxy grout cures as hard as cement, the problem was extremely difficult to fix. To make matters worse, the contractor who originally installed it refused to fix the problem. I spoke with several professionals and was told that the only options were either to remove and replace all of the tile or use a grinder to remove the yellowed grout, which could chip and damage the marble. After doing extensive research, including using ChatGPT, Sir Grout was recommended as the best company for the job. There was only one person at Sir Grout who had both the experience to remove Laticrete epoxy grout and the willingness to take on such a challenging project. His name is David, and he is awesome. Not a single tile was damaged during the process, and he used a different manufacturer's white grout that will not turn yellow. Sir Grout also provides a one-year written guarantee on the grout work. In addition, the white tile itself had begun to show yellow staining, and Sir Grout was able to remove almost all of those stains as well.
