There are so many supplies you just can't find at bigger box stores, and Glenni does her best to source her products locally whenever possible. The two biggest sections are breastfeeding accessories and cloth diapering supplies (they even stock Green Mountain Diapers). They also have some Green Sprouts solid food accessories, a few baby carriers (Boba, Ergo, Ktan), a selection of baby clothes (some organic), and a few maternity items. If they don't have something you want, Glenni will often make a few phone calls to try and find it for you. Once I was in a cloth diapering "emergency" while in Atlanta, and she called all her GA counterparts trying to find me the supplies I needed! They are also a great source of knowledge for natural parenting and host pregnancy/birth/breastfeeding classes and mommy groups at the store. I've come here several times just to nurse my infant in the middle of a long shopping day. Glenni is very welcoming and sets you up with a footstool and nursing pillow, anything you need. She will offer help with any breastfeeding issues you may be dealing with. To sum up, I can't say enough good things about ANM. Their products, service, and philosophy are all wonderful. While waiting on the birthday girl I went in the store to look around. No other customers were there, and when asked if I needed help I mentioned I was meeting my grandaughter to build a bear in a bit. This was at 5:40pm. No one mentioned that they close at 7 and stop making bears at 6:45. We ate at the food court. While eating, the birthday girls daddy walked over to the store and noticed it closes at 7pm. We all rushed over and arrived at 6:46. They told us that we were too late to make a bear. They stop taking orders at 6:45. We were 1 minute late! We were told they would not make an exception because if they made an exception for 1 person they would have to do it for everyone. I looked up and I saw tears rolling down my daughters eyes it broke my heart! So 5 year old birthday girl and her mom were both crying. We left so sad and disappointed What was supposed to be a fun celebration turned into a very sad evening. Creating a birthday bear was a huge thing to my grandaughter. She was so excited! These 2 employees made no effort to help us out and exhibited no empathy whatsoever. We were 1 minute late! That rule was not posted anywhere! She is super brilliant and was an engineer in a former life. She is so knowledgeable about yarn, the different types, the animal/chemical composition and processes used, etc. The selection of different types of yarn and various brands was outstanding. Nina also found a way to connect with everyone in the store, even a shy little girl there with her Mom. Nina gave her some yarn to have to play with. I will be making this a regular stop when I'm in Huntsville. It gets my highest recommendation.

Honestly, it was one of the most uncomfortable, antagonistic exchanges I've had in a very long time, as she was very negative and aggressive. She insulted my life choices and pointed to the fact that the size of my family was a mistake. She kept saying that human beings were just human beings... or something to that effect. She was unapologetic. I literally backed out of the store, as she wasn't relenting. I want to offer full caution, as this was an exchange I didn't cause or understand; I came in as a customer, and she initiated a very strange, personal, opinionated assault. I suppose if you're an adult looking for something for yourself, you would be safe? Just don't mention kids.
