Spent a lot of money with this company redoing my ac vents and got some custom linear vents. After installation the linear vents started making noise. Asked them to come and fix the vents as the noise is loud and it shouldn't be making this noise. They tried to fix it by tightening and loosening the screws. Every time they left the noise would simply come back and even louder. What should have been done was them offering to replace it. I now have to hear this crackling noise everytime the heater comes on and is extremely disturbing when I work from home and now have a newborn, I've contacted the owner now multiple times and have simply been ignored. I understand sometimes thing happen but the fact that they won't fix it let alone answer me back just shows they have no customer service. This is not how you treat paying customers. I now need to hire another company to fix their mistakes and pay yet again to have it done correctly. I wouldn't recommend this company. read more

ACR Heating and Cooling is very dishonest and practices price gouging, at least in my case that was the case. I called them last week about our AC system. The owner came out on Sat. 9/8/24. After looking at the unit, he said the problem was a "bad dual capacitor". I asked him how much the capacitor was. he said it was $475.00 for the part and $125.00 to fix it. I told him to do it. at the time, it was hot and I was dealing with some medical issues that my wife had and some guests coming over. It was literally as easy as unplugging a device and plugging in a new device. 10 minutes, that is how long it took. I gave him my CC and he wrote down the info and left. That day, out of curiosity, I went online to check the cost of the dual capacitor. I was SHOCKED! There are several brands priced between $21.00- $32.00! I was very disappointed. I understand businesses have to make money. I am not against making a profit. I have an issue with being dishonest, very greedy and outrageously unfair. Being REASONABLE is all we consumers ask for. ACR is nothing close to reasonable! Following Monday, I got a text from my bank indicating $624.00 was charged to my account. I called ACR to find out what the extra $24.00 was and the response was CC processing fee. The man who tech who came to fix my AC unit never mentioned anything about the extra fee. It's sad that a bad experience like this makes other honest businesses to suffer the consequence. I normally don't write bad reviews but, this was over the top enough to make me want to share it with others. read more

It's not unheard of for installers to leave rubbish or trash behind. It's not right of course, but it happens. But an empty can of BEER!!! No wonder the HVAC system doesn't work!!! I bought a house last June that had a brand new AC/heating unit from this company. It came with a 10 year warranty on most items and 3-5 year on others. I have the invoice with the company card stapled to it. The card address is Remit in Canoga Park. My AC was not blowing at all on Thursday 6/1/21. You could hear it running on the roof but no air was coming out. So I called the first number on the card no answer. I called the second number on the card they were in Woodland Hills. They sounded like the call center. He said they would send a message over to the place on Remit in Canoga park and someone would call me that night (this was about 5 pm) or the next day. While I was on the phone with them the first number called me back so as soon as I hung up I called it back. This guy answered I told him what was going on and Immediately he states how do I know you bought it from us? I told him the previous owner left me the receipt asked if his address was on Remit and he said yes. Then he asked if my name was Dawn. I told him yes and he said I just got the ticket call you tomorrow and hung up on me! Well today is Saturday and nothing! I live in the high desert with triple digits right now! I also have a senior that's a stage 5 kidney patient on dialysis! I had to get a hotel for him last night because the heat was making him sick. I called a local AC repair that came out and told me the unit must have overheated in this heat they fired it up and it was working again. They also didn't charge me. It's terrible the previous owners had to pay $12,000 for this unit and I can't even get anyone to not only come out but call me back. (I checked with them when I bought the house and they stated the warranty went with the house.) I would say buyer beware! read more

This review is overdue since I had my new HVAC unit installed over a year ago. I obtained a few quotes before going with ACR and they were the most reasonably priced. They did an awesome job from start to finish and were in constant communication with me during the process. I own a unit in a townhouse complex so I had two concerns: 1) Noise level of the unit 2) getting the unit on the roof. They were able to get the unit installed on the roof without issue. I had a Rheem/RUUD unit installed and included UV light Air Purification, Honeywell thermostat, and duct cleaning. The installation was scheduled quickly and completed in half a day. The owner, Oren, even came by during the install to ensure things were going ok. Installers were clean and respectful. My tenants have had no problems to date. With the heat wave this past summer, glad I got this new unit installed last year so I did not have to deal with urgent repair issues for my tenants. When we decided to replace the old clunky 1950 furnace about 2 years ago, Justin at ACR did a great job explaining which model we should buy. The installation was very fast and efficient - and the furnace works beautifully!! Then we decided to add a dehumidifier so the piano would stay in tune and the kitchen cabinets would close. Most companies wanted to install a complete HVAC system, but it never gets hot enough to need that. ARC came up with a very good dehumidifier that handles the whole house. The portable one required dumping out a 4-gallon bucket of water 3 times a day, so you can see how much extra humidity there is here. This year, the dehumidifier would not go on. ARC came out and solved the problem!! This is a very reliable company. read more

They moved our furnace from the ground floor in our hallway (was too loud and taking space) to the new unit up into our attic. They did a prefect job. My old HVAC unit gave up the ghost 2 months ago. I contacted Oren, at ACR Heating and Cooling, because I was happy about a small repair he had made a couple of years ago. He confirmed that I did indeed need a new HVAC (It was 20 years old), gave me a good price, and set to work just a couple of days later. His techs arrived on time, removed the old unit, installed the new, and were out of here 5 hours later. Problem was, the new unit did not work properly! Ran and ran and never shut off, never reached desired cooling. Could not even get 10 degrees cooler than outside temps, which were in triple digits.. Called ACR. Techs came out next day, made some changes. The unit still did not perform...I was very unhappy...Oren made me a promise that he would identify and resolve the problem no matter what. And he did...It took multiple visits. It was a complex issue due to the weird configuration of my old unit. But they figured it out...and fixed it..my A/C works beautifully now! And, my electric bill is already lower because ACR installed the right size unit, with the right energy settings, for my house. Had a great experience. Even before Justin came out to give an estimate he was super helpful. My husband called and Justin gave him a lot of information about the different options. He came out for the estimate and walked us through all of the stuff that would need to be done. The contract was easy to understand and he let us know of all the possible additional costs. After the job was started he called to let us know that he had forgotten to put something on the contract but didn't charge us for the work. It only took them 2 days (plus one for the asbestos removal) to completely replace out HVAC system. It runs great (just in time for the hot weather). Justin and Owen are nice guys but when it came to follow up there just wasn't any.
