    Two part review. Fresh food was keeping low enough temperature and mold showing up. Checked the internet and mfg website but no solution so Action was called this morning and got afternoon appointment. Better yet tech (Brian) finished early as was able to come this morning. Quick diagnostic check determined cooling fan in fresh food compartment not pushing enough cold air. Time to replace it along with the cover for compartment that had mold. Parts were available for this GE French Door model so Action will be back in morning to replace fan and insulation cover. Right away the temp got colder and by evening A-OK. See photos. Part 2. Tech returned on time and commenced to work. Much faster this time as he did not have defrost the compartment and familiar with this model. He took out the bad cooling fan and showed how it had gone bad. Also pickup the old insulation panel and it was noticeably heavier with the water that did not evaporate due to run down cooling fan. Everything put back in order and very happy with outcome. Fast response to call and quick fix.

    We live in a tiny apartment, but own our washer/dryer. This was the 3rd company we had called to repair our dryer over the last 15 years. The last two companies got the job done and were friendly and priced exactly the same as Action, but this team of professionals brought that little extra, above and beyond commitment to total excellence you rarely see. First, they were RIGHT on time. Gave us a window of 10am-1pm but showed up at 10am on the dot. Next, it was raining outside. I hadn't even thought about that, but Jimmy and Skyler were immediately putting on clean booties over their shoes so as not to track mud in before they even stepped in the door! Then, not only did Jimmy and Skyler repair our dryer and get it back into place beautifully, they explained what our apartment maintenance had done wrong that likely caused the element to burn out (leaving the ENTIRE vent hose all curled around behind the machine instead of cutting it), but they fixed that problem and THEN told us what we needed to ask our apartment managers to do to help prevent additional problems. They also checked our washer for us and told us what needed to be done with the problem we were having with that. They were even happy to speak to my apartment manager directly so as to explain the details, and we got the work order put in. Their repairs come with a 90-day warranty too. Nice! Finally--and this was like the crazy, never-before-seen by any repair service cherry-on-top for us!--they vacuumed up everything around, on, and under our machines, vacuumed up the floor, and then sprayed down and wiped off every surface of BOTH of our machines with a nice smelling Meyer's brand all-purpose cleaner. When they left, everything was BETTER. Way better. Better than it was in every way before they showed up. Wow. We are just an ordinary, broke working class married couple cramped into a tiny apartment... but they spoke and worked with us like they were doing a job for the King & Queen of England, lol. Jimmy and Skyler were both proud, experienced tradesmen with a family history in the appliance repair trade, and we need a million more like them! If these were my sons I would be mighty proud of them both. Their parents should write a book on how to raise smart, tough, professional, civilized and capable men, lol. Well done to the Action Appliance Repair team. I joked with Jimmy I was almost looking forward to the next time some appliance broke, lol. Not really, BUT... when that happens, there ain't nobody else we'll call now. Worth waiting like we had to in order to get the appointment (called on a Thursday but next spot not open til the following Tuesday), and then worth every penny we spent.
