The Toyota dealer failed to diagnose the problem correctly and charged quite a bit for a repair that didn't work. My local mechanic was also unable to fix the problem, but he referred me to Action Auto Glass. They knew exactly what the problem was--the windshield seal--and fixed it quickly and at a bargain price. When the leak reappeared last week, I took the truck back to Action Auto Glass. I assumed the problem was the same as before, but this time the leak was caused by failed weatherproofing inside the passenger door. Once again, their diagnosis was accurate, and they fixed the problem quickly and inexpensively. I had my windshield replaced by Action Auto Glass in August 2018. I noticed a large amount of water in my car at the beginning of the last set of storms we had out here. I vacuumed out 1.5 gallons of water and disassembled my interior to pull my carpets out and find the source of the water intrusion. The typical spots for water intrusion on Subarus are the AC drain line, and windshield cowl drain, both of which were clear. I took my car to the Subaru dealer which found water coming in through the windshield on the driver's side of the car. I verified the water intrusion at home with a garden hose. I called Action Auto Glass to see if we could find a solution and the woman on the phone was very quick to point out their 1-year warranty. They offered no help or solution and didn't even want to look at the car. I took the car to a competitor in the area and he removed the windshield and took pictures of the problem area. He found that there was a 1 inch gap in the urethane adhesive on the windshield and on the car on the driver's side. My windshield was improperly installed by Action Auto Glass and has cost me considerable time and money. I had to purchase a car cover, new carpets, and labor at the dealer totaling up to $700 on top of what I spent originally at Action Auto Glass for an improper installation and over 8 hours of my time disassembling my car and troubleshooting the issue. I cannot recommend Action Auto Glass due to their poor work and bad warranty. Their 1-year warranty indicates that they do not stand by their work. Their competitor in Santa Cruz offers a lifetime warranty on their work. read more

Action Glass got a window and repaired my 17 year old Mercedes within 24 hours. Plus, they worked with my insurance, no hassle, no problem. The other three other shops' quotes were $350 out of pocket, no insurance taken. Take note, sisters: this place treated me with respect. Middle-aged single female usually = "We'll charge whatever we want and treat you like you're an idiot and a major nuisance." Not this place. In fact, the owner took the time to chat a bit despite clearly being super busy with incoming calls. I never felt in the way. Knowing that I'm not getting ripped off was such a different experience. I had my windshield repaired here today. The person I spoke with on the phone was courteous and allowed me to bring my car in right after the call. The repair person was friendly, explained that rock chip repair wouldn't erase the blemish, and did the repair while I waited. I was in and out within 20-25 minutes, the repair rendered the chip much less visible, and it cost $90 total, which was much less expensive than the quote from another shop ($178). As long as the chip is smaller than a quarter, it's repairable is what the person on the phone said. Super relieved that my windshield chip is repaired and that the crack won't spread. I got a chip on my windshield this past Monday. I called Action Auto Glass to see if I needed an appointment. They said to just come in and it should take about 20 minutes to fix. True to their word, my chipped windshield was fixed while I waited. $80. They did a great job! Then, today, as I was driving, I heard that awful sound of a ping on my windshield. Again!! In the same week!! This time, I didn't call. I just drove in. Jason came out to look at the chip. He said that this one was going to be much harder to fix than the last one. He got a razor blade and scraped off a big drop of sap! Ha, ha! We had a good laugh and I drove off. A week after replacing my windshield a crack appeared. I took it in the next day hoping it could be fixed. They told me a rock must have hit it and there was no warranty for that. I'm not sure what the one year warranty would cover. I feel like they could have offered me something because I paid almost $600 to replace it. When I got it repaired they said I could drive it right after it was fixed so I did. Now I'm wondering if it wasn't fully cured as I drove it immediately after it was fixed. I've read that there is an amount of time you should wait before driving once it's replaced. I'm disappointed they couldn't offer me any help. read more

Two of my vehicles wound up getting chipped windshields in separate incidents from rocks while driving on the freeway. I decided to select Action Auto Glass to take care of my Tesla and my Ford. They explained the process of sealing and chip "repair" so that I had realistic expectations of what to expect from the results of the repair procedure. However, the results were fantastic! When a windshield chip is repaired, you should still expect to see evidence of a chip. But in my case, I really had to look hard to see where they sealed the chip. Some shops asked me to change a new piece of glass, only here let me try polishing.As it turns out, I spent about an hour and an acceptable amount of money, and got very good results.
