Back in 2011, I fell ill for several days, and nothing my medical doctor prescribed for me helped, in fact, I felt worse! Dr. Lim is the truth! On January 5th while coming back from snorkeling on Makua Beach, a sudden and gnarly shorebreak took me under the barrel of a wave as I was swimming in, sucked my body into its cave, and violently dumped me onto the right side of my face. I immediately heard my neck crack and went into shock and panic: Was I paralyzed? Was my neck fractured? Fortunately, I NEVER lost feeling in any extremity in my body so I started doing damage control. I waved someone over to assist me walking out. I was bleeding severely on top of my right eye. My neck was EXTREMELY sore; someone recommended I immediately see a chiropractor and warned my that my neck would most likely be extremely stiff the next day (it already was). I texted my friend Dr. Jerry Hsieh who runs the highly rated Intero Chiropractic in the Bay Area where I live. He specializes in a unique method of Chiropractic called the Gonstead Method which, to my understanding, is a more holistic way of treating the entire body, viewing it is a chain not isolated to one part. He immediately recommended I see his cohort Dr. Lim who practices this same method of chiropractic. I called them on Jan 5th and amazingly, they were able to squeeze me in end of day the following day! Plus one for promptness! Dr. Lim was patient, thorough, chill and hip (not uptight at all), and most importantly, skilled. After asking me a series of questions and doing a new patient evaluation ($100), he took a full body -ray (3 seperate X-rays costing me $150), skillfully diagnosed not just some neck parts that were misaligned but hip and back as well, and did a series of adjustments ($60). Keep in mind that I could barely look to the left....*maybe* just a few inches and that I also had pain looking right, up, down. Now here's the climax: Amazingly, I had probably 400% greater range of motion the next day and my pain went from maybe a 7 to a 2. I don't understand how this can be as I thought "meh, a muscle strain will heal naturally on its own" but he explained to at the next appointment how nerves are connected to the whole body and that it was good that I came in because even though my neck would have healed on its own, I could have had issues from it being misaligned each time. The results speak for themselves. I went in for 2 more adjustments after that and 2 weeks later my neck feels probably 95%. I never missed a day of physical activity in Hawaii and for that I am truly grateful. Pro tip: Park elsewhere (I won't say where, LOL, but if you know, you know) as they only validate for 1/2 hour and you gotta pay at least $3 depending on how long you stay. Thanks Dr. Lim! Finally found a legit Gonstead chiropractor after watching a life changing YouTube video on a boy who couldn't walk/cured by Gonstead Dr. in Australia within a time period of 2 weeks. I came in for my shoulder and he not only made the pain go away after a few adjustments he was nice enough to offer me a discount on my X-Ray since my prior chiropractors wife/secretary refused to give me copies, reminded me how I signed a form and that MY X-rays were his property... mind you I had paid $700 for16 adjustments only to be told on the last session I had to keep coming back if I wanted better results. Dr Lim is a really good chiropractor who is located in the Pan Am Building across from Don Quijote on the 16th floor. He speaks both Korean and English and is very talented at what he does. He accepts almost all insurance and was actually recommended to me by my primary care doctor. The office is closed on both Sundays and Thursdays, however the staff is really nice about squeezing you in for emergencies. If you don't have chiropractor coverage w/your insurance a single visit will run about $60 or you could buy a package and the front desk will help you figure out the cost. Parking is free for the first 1/2 hour, every 1/2 hour after that is $3 with validation. I highly recommend Dr. Lim, he is pleasant, caring and most important a knowledgeable chiropractor! read more

I never thought I'd say this, but having back pains aren't so bad when I can come to a place like action chiropractic. From the friendliness and efficiency of the front desk reception, to Dr. Lim's amazing personality and skill there is five star service all around. I had never experienced back pains like this before, so when they became consistent I was a bit unsure of how to treat it. I went to two other chiropractors before finding Dr. Lim. I even tried getting a therapeutic massage; although some relief was made, nothing at all compared to Dr. Lim's treatment. I read online how he takes x-ray examinations on your initial visit, and for me that was a deal sealer because I felt like the others were working blindly not knowing exactly what might be causing pain. After merely 2 visits, my back was good as new! I of course had to maintain visits where he adjusted my back, but he's also open to many insurance plans so it's actually really cheap to come here! Yay! I'm the first. Hahaha I had to go see him since I had some problems with my neck and my tail bone, and I have to say you must see a chiropractor. There are things that they do to your body that I think no one else can do for you. He's a bit on the pricey side, I think 60 bucks per visit, and the visit is from 15-30 minutes. But before you see Dr. Kim, there's this machine they send you to before you meet him, and it massages your spine! It feels so amazing! From the neck all the way down to your tail bone, it just massages it and it feels so good. But if you need to get your spine aligned, I'd recommend seeing him. I was at the 2014 Korean Festival checking out the vendors when a friendly young lady asked if I'd like to sign up for a consultation with Dr. Lim. After the assessment I was surprised that within those few minutes he knew I had problems sleeping, leg pain and other issues that have been bothering me for a while now. So now, I'm curious and I schedule an appointment for later that week to see if he can help with these issues. Fast-forward a few weeks/appointments later and I'm sleeping better than I have in a long time. I have more energy, the leg pain is almost non-existent and my body feels extremely relaxed. This place has changed a bit since my last review some odd years ago. Dr. Kim has gone and now Dr. Lim has taken over the practice. However, the excellent type of service has not diminished. In my opinion, I believe Dr. Lim speaks better English so that's a plus to all who use English more proficiently! The receptionists over the years have all been very friendly! They are also very good when handling referrals sent from the VA (Veteran's Affairs). Other veterans, as well as I, can tell you how much trouble the VA has been in the past. However the team of Dr. Lim and his admin will ensure they do everything possible to get things squared away at their end. I recommend all who suffer from chronic pain like me to at least give this practice a try. I've been to about 10 chiropractors in my time (my time being 3 years of back pain) and Action Chiropractic is over and above all the rest! Actually took xrays to see what was going on with my back, very cool. Dr. Lim explained everything that he saw that needed improvement and told me how we were going to get there. When I first met him, I could barely stand up straight, the worst pain I've ever had on my lower back. After a few sessions (3?) I felt right as rain and still do. Dr. Lim is my saving grace. I've been suffering from neck and shoulder pain for years, and after the first adjustment, I felt significantly less pain. He explains what's going on, and informs you of solutions that'll be pursued. I've been going for about 6 months so far, and after only 8 adjustments, I've never felt better. I've suffered from severe back and neck pain. The neck pain was so horrible that it caused migraines that just won't seem to go away. My back pain would get worse during menstrual cycle. I met Dr. Brian Lim at the Korean Festival in 2012. I had just returned to the island from living in SF for almost 3 years. I was recently experiencing quite a bit of back pain and I was unsure why. I'm an avid CrossFitter and I thought that maybe I was just overtrained; so, I stopped CrossFit altogether for about a month with no improvement to my back pain. I've always been skeptical about chiropractors, but I figured that I had nothing to lose in trying this out. To begin, Dr. Lim thoroughly explains your condition, remedies, and answers your questions in full. You can tell he loves his job. I really enjoy visiting with him; he's very personable. My treatment has been incredibly successful. My pain started to subside within the first TWO WEEKS of getting "cracked!" As time went on and I got better, my appointments got further and further apart. It's been about a year since I started coming here and I have no back pain anymore. I have been to many chiropractors over the years and i can tell you that you will get results with Dr Lim. Before finding Dr Lim i would need to see a chiropractor once a month at the very least and after a few sessions with Dr Lim i am pain free and only visit Action chiropractic to get minor adjustments a few times a year as needed. I was referred to Dr. Brian Lim from a trusted friend who had been seeing him for her own care. She encouraged me to call his office to see if he could help me. I am extremely overweight and had been experiencing lots of body pain from my mid to lower back even down to my feet! My body pain was becoming unbearable and I didn't want to rely on OTC meds to control the pain. Since our state and the rest of world is battling COVID19, I wasn't even sure if I could get an appointment quickly as many offices have limited hours or are closed, so I was pleasantly surprised when I was able to secure an appointment the very next day. There is was no waiting at all! The one time I was running late, I called and when I finally got there the receptionist offered to place me on a massage table (while I waited). I will start off as I do not go to doctors, do not take meds, and if I do go to get help I am in pretty bad shape!!! With that said I have been fixed and am a strong believer in quality service. I have never left felling ripped off or unhappy. They explain everything before and during your treatiment and will always take the time to answer questions, give you pointers, and educate you on how you can better take care of your body. My back was a mess to the point I went to my PCP. My PCP said I has muscle spasms and gave me pain pills. I came directly here and found out I had a broken tail bone, hips out of place, and discs out of place in my neck and back. Dr. Brian Lim is awesome! on January 14th, I had a minor dislocated right shoulder from lugging my mom's combined 140lbs of assorted luggage for her mainland flight. I couldn't raise my right arm and my shoulder had waves of pain when I tried to pick up stuff, shampoo my hair,or even trying to reach the buttons on the radio in my car! Called Kristen the receptionist/nurse and she was so very kind. Put me up for an appointment that day, and Dr. Lim popped my shoulder back into place and also did various adjustments to my neck and lower back! I felt 1000% percent better! (hey its no exaggeration) Immediately I could do my normal stuff again but Dr. Lim told me to rest... The next day NO PAIN whatsoever! Like it didn't even happen! Dr Brian Lim is my 9th chiropractor I have seen. The problem was my neck, I got a whip lash from riding the Shaka at the Water park 2005 also a few situations I suffered from. This cause major headaches, ear eye jaw aches, vision problem, swallowing, breathing problems, disorientation, stiff neck, aches and pains in neck shoulder back mid back and lower back, tingling and numbness in arms, legs, feet and buttocks, constipation, hands stiff and stuck in the morning when I wake up, hard to sleep, always tense , anxiety, irritated because I always feel like cracking my neck on my own...So this is 13 yrs later.
