Dr. Costello made me feel as comfortable as possible. The staff at both the Rome and New Hartford offices was professional and friendly. All procedures were well-explained in advance. The post-op. directions were written and easy to follow. I would highly recommend Dr. Costello, and I've heard nothing but positive comments about his brother, Dr. John Costello, as well.

Dr. Lemke was my mom's oncologist, and she was wonderful. She never minced words, but was diligent…read moreabout making sure that we felt comfortable, even when she was telling us that my mom was never going to get better. She tried to make sure that we would have as much QUALITY time with her as possible, and I really appreciated that. Let's face it - she's an oncologist, so the outcome isn't going to be good a lot of the time. But Dr. Lemke's bedside manner really did make us feel confident that our mom was receiving great care, regardless of what the outcome was clearly going to be. There is one woman in her front office (unfortunately she answers the phone) who is very uncaring sounding, and I that stinks when you're family member is dying. However, I appreciated that the doctor visited my mom while she was in the hospital in Syracuse, and travels to Oneida once or twice a week so that her patients in this more rural area don't have to go all the way to Syracuse for chemotherapy. If you have any other associated disorders or misdiagnosis as they will immediately deny your assessment. If you struggle with filling things out online, it's going to be incredibly hard because they're intake process is incredibly confusing and there is no help with filling out the paperwork even if they tell you there is. ( this happened to me I was told I could have helped filling out paperwork on an iPad if I came in and I did this just be handed one single sheet of paper and completely ignored after) I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy at this point. If you care about your mental health, I definitely don't recommend it for you. they will put you through heck and then make you feel completely alone just like they did for me and it looks like a lot of other people on here.
