I found RINGTONE, a boutique boxing a fitness gym, walking down Drummond St. and was willing to try something new. I went to their 19:00 mixed class and loved it! The place had a great atmosphere, buzzing with positive vibes. I met Ben and Scott (owners/trainers) and were extremely welcoming and patient with my inexperience. The two lads have a great personality. Training with gloves on is different in that your learning rather than just running on a treadmill. I have been to the girls class on wednesdays a couple of times, they also have a mix class on mon and wed that seam a bit harder and more advanced.. Will have to go soon :)) Its not like the wimpy boxercises that they have In the gyms this is propper boxing tips and you will learn how to punch, and tweek your teknick as you go.. No two times i have been there we have done the same so you will never get bored.. Also its an amazing atmosfair that makes you give the little more effort into it so you will get a great workout and feel absolutley exhausted when finished. I have just joined as a member now and will start going even without the classes as i have been propper bitten by the boxing bug, its seriously good exercise and so fun at the same time, dont notice how hard and intensed your working before your so tired you cant possible move or speak :)) love it!! I increased my sessions from 2 hours per week to four hours as it was so much fun with her and I could see in a very short time the great results. The workouts varied between strength, cardio and flexibility and I never get bored as there was always a challenge. Her influence has spread way beyond the weekly workouts. She has helped me to prioritize my health goals, incorporate physical activity into my everyday life and helped me to improve my diet. It has a very friendly atmosphere and some of the machines this gym has are unique compared to other gyms. as its not part of a chain, the prices are very cheap whether you're a member or 'pay and play'. It's pretty unique as I haven't seen it in any other gyms I've been to - it's basically a room which is very dark with a massive tv screen showing music videos with music blaring. Really gets you in the mood for a work out - very motivating! And you don't have to worry about people seeing how rough you look when you're working out haha! Classes are also very good. The instructors really work you hard but that's the best way - need to be pushed to the limit! Though the classes are hard, they're good fun, especially if you go with friends. Dumbells only go up to 30KG which really isn't much of a struggle. It only has one barbell bench press which doubles as a squat rack which is normally being used. Only one Olympic bar (20KG) which is the one being used on the bench/squat rack meaning no deadlifts. The people in there seem to spend more time on their phones while occupying the benches than lifting on them. On the plus side, it is very cheap, open 24 hours, has CCTV so there should be no fear of going at night and is very clean. It's not the worst gym around (nowhere near as bad as Planet fitness) but as a serious lifter, the skinny teenagers and part-time-once-a-week-gym-goers just get in my way so it is a big no no for me.

They have plenty of space and equipment. The wod was challenging and fun, great warm-up exercise routine leading up to the strength training.
