The staff reviewed every document with me, this is very appreciated when you are a first time patient. We reviewed all the paperwork and they had me watch a 4 minute video on what will be performed and the time taken to complete the visit. While I have been to chiropractor's previously, I have never had treatment with an actuator. After receiving treatment I can say I will never go back to being manually adjusted. Instead of hard waiting room chairs, there were chairs and sofas. They had a couple different areas, and TV's. The staff were all friendly and treated me wonderful. In the end, they had to refer me to a higher acuity facility, but made sure I would be refunded my copay. They didn't try to run a bunch of tests and then tell me they couldn't treat me. I really appreciated the upfront honesty from my provider. It made me feel like they had my health in there best interest. The nurses were very caring, and let me tell them everything that was happening without feeling rushed. Assumed without communicating with her patient. Another doctor that expects their patient to be honest with them, while they are not. I will be finding a new GI, one that actually has concern for her patients rather than just another one on the books. Making ASSumptions about a patients life is how you lose patients. Absolutely disgusted by her behavior. Not professional. Her clinical notes are not only ignorant, they are blatantly WRONG. If she would have brought it up with me, we could have communicated about my past 15+ years in chronic pain with countless failed treatments and we could have resolved it. Instead, she did not ask questions about my past medical history, she marks her assumptions down on my paperwork without even acknowledging it with me. Shameful for a health professional to behave in such a manor. Doctors like her are the reason I audio record all appointments. It's their word against theirs. Medical marijuana is the only thing that remotely gives me an appetite. if she would have asked I could have told her that the medical marijuana is for the 16+ years in chronic pain with countless failed treatments, therapy included, she would have know that her assumption was ignorantly wrong. She needs to go back to school, it's pitiful when the former patient knows more than the former doctor. I've already found my new GI, hopefully one that deserves my money. because Julie Turner and staff sure as heck did not.
