Sheina!!!! Love her! I came in with 2 seperate injuries. She pushed me to the limits and then some. I went in with knee pain and limping and left there stronger than ever. She made therapy fun and not boring. Then I came in with plantar fasciitis and limping again really bad and she again brought me back to being 100%. I totally will recommend ActivBody to anyone. The staff is so friendly, and Sheina has some really strong hands, knows where to push and how hard. I worked with the other therapists and they are all friendly. I am a lash artist and I've been having neck pain all the way down my arm from the detailed work that I do and also in my hip from sitting in the wrong chair. I started coming here a week ago and I've already seen improvement. My chiropractor said it was begging stages of carpal tunnel. The staff is very nice and patient. They give me advice on what to do at home to speed up recovery time. All in all super happy and I'm recommending this place for all of my friends and family who have injuries now. I needed to be updated on any new treatments and exercises for my overworked shoulder. I had just had a cortisone shot by doctor Grieshober to give me my motion back. I was send to Activ Body Therapy and was treated very well by their personnel. My therapist who took my case checked out my arm, and he gave me directions on what I can do for home therapy and made me a copy of exercises to perform at home. He was very easy going and clear with his explanations. The clinic is very clean and well set up. Easy to find and lots of parking. I have been going to Activbody PT for 10 years for physical therapy and training/conditioning with Larry. I have sustained multiple injuries growing up as an athlete. It is one thing go to physical therapy for yourself, but it is a whole different thing to find the right fit for your daughter. My daughter is a very active athlete who had some soft tissue damage to her foot one week before State Cup. Larry worked with her on two different sessions that get my daughter back on track for her soccer tournament. Aside from being extremely capable and knowledgeable, Larry's professionalism made me feel comfortable with my high schooler's health. I recently had a total knee replacement done and I was referred here by my home therapist. Unfortunately it took 2-3 weeks for my insurance company to approve my therapy, which put me way behind. I have to endure more pain just to get caught up to where I should be. The therapy is brutal and very painful, but I know its needed. I am doing therapy at home in hopes of trying to get caught up. Everyone that I have worked with has been great. They hate putting me through this. The care that they have shown me makes it "somewhat" easier to handle. Made physical therapy fun to where I wanted to go and I didn't dread it or become inconsistent. They use laser, ultrasound, and alter g treadmill which really helped me recover. My mom had physical therapy elsewhere without laser and ultrasound and she didn't get better. read more

WATCH-OUT when they say, "your insurance company is covering 100% and you will not be charged. The manager Stacy Savage had told me from the beginning how many total sessions were covered by my insurance. Also, on each visit I showed up for therapy it was stated very clearly to me that "the therapy was 100% covered and you will owe nothing". After a few months of treatment, Stacy proceeded to tell me that I had 2 more sessions left until my insurance would not cover the therapy costs any more. On my last visit I thanked her and the staff and I did not return for any more treatments. Fast forward 6 months and then I start to get bills in the mail from ActiveBody for unpaid visits. I was confused, so I immediately called ActiveBody and spoke with Brooke, the office manager in charge of insurance billing. She told me that ActivBody was having problems with their billing company as they were sending unpaid bill notices to some of their clients, who in reality, owed ActivBody no money. Brooke said to disregard any bills sent to me by them as these were errors and I should have never been sent these bills. I thanked her and took her at her word as she was an employee and agent of ActiveBody. Then six months later I was called by Johanna, who was extremely rude and said she would report me to the credit bureau if I did not pay immediately. I explained to Johanna, Brooke, the office manager in Orange had discussed this with me in detail over 4 months ago and I referred her to my conversation with Brooke and Stacey Savage. She said she did care and wanted their $600 dollars or else. Well, the else happened, she has reported me to the credit bureau. I have contacted the medical board and an investigation for "fraudulent and misleading statements"" is being initiated. Be very very careful when the managers at ActiveBody tell you, "its all covered by your insurance company and you will owe us nothing". read more

First a brief background- I had a 9 mm disc bulge in my lower back that was causing horrible pain in the back my leg - just above my knee. it was a mystery why I was having the pain for almost a year until I found a great doctor who figured it out. His only solution was to shave the bulge with a minor surgery which would stop the disc from pushing on my nerve - which was causing the pain. So my plan was to go ahead with surgery. Suddenly one morning the pain was gone. :) So I canceled surgery after being pain free for about 2 weeks and began physical therapy per doctors orders- 3x a week- for 6 weeks. This is where my review begins. Activbody was wonderful! The physical therapists - Paul and Larry are very knowledgeable. I had an MRI and notes from my doctors and they understood all of it right away which gave me immediate confidence I was in the right place. I had visited 2 other physical therapy gyms in the area and neither showed they understood the MRI and the information about my back from the doctor. In fact one physical therapist actually disagreed with the doctors diagnosis and the MRI which made me run from that place. So that was huge- they understood what was going on with my back. They got me quickly (the first visit) on a great routine of exercises to strengthen my back and core- which is what the doctor - who is a great spinal expert told me I needed to do. Another physical therapy place took a whole visit just talking and seeing what I could do rather then knowing the body and getting me started. Although I had never done physical therapy before - it seems that this is exactly what you might want in a physical therapist. They understood my MRI easily, listened to the information I had about my back and helped me increase my strength. I feel great still - it's been about 3 months since my 6 week course has been complete and they have followed up with me since. They have offered me help when I called about some exercise ideas and told me I could call or stop by anytime with any questions. I have stuck with the program they started me on at my own gym- which I already had a membership to but never used. Now I have a great routine. I know I can call them anytime for extra ideas and exercises to stay strong and fortunately my back is showing no signs of any kind of disc bulge any longer. I also want to share that the staff- the physical therapy assistants and the receptionist were incredible. They all knew their job and did it so well. The place runs so smooth and it has a really happy vibe! Their good attitudes and the positive environment they created was also so helpful and made it a great place to go 3 times a week! I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother, who is a patient of ActivBody. I'm gonna be honest, I didn't really think too much of physical therapy before my mom began therapy. My mom took a big slip and ended up tearing her meniscus, which forced her to get knee surgery. She really struggled after the surgery to get back to her feet and return to normal daily life. That's when I took her to ActivBody. When we first went, my mother and I were indifferent about starting physical therapy and didn't really have our hopes high. Paul and Larry quickly proved us wrong. The both of them, as well as the other trainers, Katie, Antonio, and Shaina, are all so friendly and so personable that my mom never felt out of place. They are very welcoming and you'll probably never find a better group of people to chill with. They are seriously the ultimate squad goals. In terms of equipment, their equipment is nice and clean and they keep a very clean and cozy environment. The exercises may seem simple to us, but they were crucial in helping my mom get back to her normal self. Now she is walking normally again and back to herself.
