Later that week I took my vehicle to another mechanic turns out I just needed an ignition coil but when the mechanic took off the engine cover he calls me over and says look at this; Continental broke every single ignition coil clip on my vehicle and tethered it in place.I do not usually write reviews but STAY AWAY! I usually get the Full Synthetic Oil Change Package and, surprisingly, the price has not increased in five years! Ssshhh, don't tell them! This visit took less than fifteen minutes. In that time they changed my oil and filter, checked all fluid levels, and tire pressure, cleaned all the windows, and more. With service like this at a very reasonable price, I'll be back, again and again!

The test was very quick and I was given a report. Even though the emissions test was free, they still treated me like a regular paying customer. They even gave me a $10 coupon for an oil change. Fast forward a few months later, I went back to this location for their Signature Service Oil Change, and only waited about 5 minutes for the bay door to open. Their waiting room and bathroom are very clean. There is ample seating with a TV and free Wi-Fi. They also have complimentary water, coffee, and even a slush machine. I was able to peak out the window to see them work on my car, and was surprised that they vacuumed the interior floors and cleaned "all" exterior windows. The guys are all very professional, friendly and super courteous. The oil change was $45.99 so with my coupon, it came to $35.99 + taxes. I will definitely come here again.

I…read moreresearched different types of batteries on Consumer Reports and identified a recommended brand that is carried by Walmart. With enough research, especially in today's digital age, I could have installed the battery myself but I decided to give Mr Lube my business since they could get it done faster. This particular Mr Lube is attached to Walmart. The garage doors are located right behind the Garden Center. You drive out back and enter through a door, which leads you to a sectioned-off portion of the work area and a door to the service counter. For battery installations, you first have to choose and purchase a battery from Walmart, then bring it back to the service counter. It's unfortunate that you can't purchase the battery at the service counter, since it's a long walk to the checkout counters and car batteries are heavy! After a nice arm workout, I came back to the service counter and was told that car battery installation takes 10-15 minutes and costs $40 plus tax. I walked around for 20 minutes, came back, and was told by the tech that he dropped a nut inside the car, so it would take another 10 minutes. I come back and he hadn't retrieved the missing nut, so he told me he wouldn't charge for the installation. My car was ready to go within an hour after drop off. I would have been fine with an hour wait since other places like Canadian Tire make you wait several hours. But it goes to show you how amazing the customer obsession is here. Of the four different car maintenance shops that I have used in the GTA, Mr Lube is at the top of my list in terms of price, convenience, and customer service. They could have left the nut rattle around the car, but the tech was very diligent and honest, which I value highly especially for auto maintenance shops. For regular maintenance, I wouldn't mind coming back to this particular Mr Lube location.

I usually would go to my friend which is a mechanic, but I was crunched on time and had to get it done at the nearest location I could find at the time, which happened to be Midas. Up until yesterday before bringing my car into Midas ONLY for the safety test it was running smooth and I was aware of a weak battery which I planned to have it replaced with my buddy the mechanic. As I was waiting Midas for my car they told me that I had to change the battery and go on about the alternator. I told I'm here for a safety test and was not looking to do anything else. They keep pushing a sales on me and I kept telling them no. There was a lady that came in before me looking to get an oil change and they kept pushing her to get synthetic oil, which cost twice as much and unnecessary. She just wanted to get the regular oil change. I felt bad and kind of wanted to say something, but didn't want to make a scene. So I get my car back after refusing on several occasions to their displeasure. The moment I drove out on the way to my buddy the mechanics shop, about 10-15 mins my car starts acting erratic. All the warning lights comes on at once. My car starts shaking while it's going into gear. Eventually I would not even go pass 10km/h, this was all happening during rush hour on a busy street, it was pretty scary. I had pull my car into a parking lot and then it just completely died. I can't start it. I called Midas back and they pretty much were like " well I told you so and don't blame it on us" kind of attitude. I told them that I've been driving this car for some time and the moment I bring it to your location my car died. It just seem very suspicious since they were so aggressive about me fixing things with them. My car is currently at my friends shop and I'm not sure exactly how much it's going to cost me to fix it now. I had to pay to get it tolled. My car is a 2012 mdx, with only 113000km on it. Relative low km. Been driving smooth and no issue other then regular wear and tear, minor things. I'm just sharing my honest experiences about these guys. I basically do not trust them and I'd never go to another Midas again! It seems like they have this very aggressive, untrustworthy sales approach there, beware if you choose to go to this location, it becomes very costly! Ps I'd give them zero stars, but that's not an option so I have to bite my tongue and give them one fake star.

They informed me to help me save money and I appreciated their honesty. I still went ahead with the oil change. They also checked my tire pressure and windshield water fluid, and cleaned my front windshield. They also tightened some loose screws, and informed me of some potential areas that may need future servicing.

They are considerate and understanding that your time is valuable and finances are tight. If your complaining about how much time it takes any mechanic to fix your car know they want to make it right and safe. Your car is like a heart surgery patient - so don't blow a gasket unless you want to drive in a casket! Carcones is a family business and not a corporate entity like a dealership! Consider parts, weather and how busy it is on certain days or month or time of the year. They have car service too and happy to help! I was initially referred to by a coworker who's father has been using them for over 15 yrs. Lisa at the front desk knows her stuff and if she doesn't she gets a second opinion! She even wrote a letter for me discounting what CTire claimed what was wrong with my car and what they found so I can write a complaint about CT! What shop does that??? It was a very unpleasant experience and I will never go back again. The auto shop does not take appointment for tire change and is on a first come first serve basis, so I walked in like all other people. When I said I was there for winter tire change, the person (I later found out his name was Joe) at the front desk said "So does the rest of Richmond Hill". He later said the wait would be 2 hrs and I said I would wait. When it was time to pay, I asked if there was a discount if I paid cash. His snarky response: "I should be charging you more for fitting you in". You did not have to fit me in. I could go elsewhere, on a different day. Both comments were uncalled for and very rude. I noticed that his attitude towards others (men) in the shop was different.
