The $30 consultation fee covered a 3-minute conversation asking the same questions I'd filled out answers to on the paperwork which he didn't read. Although I expressed more than once it was my very first time to try acupuncture, he explained almost nothing about what to expect, then after getting the needles placed left me in the room for an hour. Having no idea when he was coming back, I was never able to fully relax as I anticipated his arrival at any minute. And actually at times I'd have an almost unbearable wave of pain that I hoped desperately he would come back to check on me. At the end he tried to sell me a package deal and talked poorly about other providers in town. I found him to be arrogant, condescending, and quite frankly sort of rude. This single visit cost me $190. He said his pricing is what it is, "because I'm awesome and my education was expensive." I'm angry at myself for having spent my hard-earned money on such a bad experience.
