First I want to say that I give them an 8 out of 10 for response. After that I wont go over a 5 for anything else. I write reviews for everything so when I say that I am a fair person, I don't write reviews with any malicious intent, just truth! That being said, I was looking for a new truck to replace an old truck that I had,. I inquired about a pick up that this group had offered, with one of the salesmen Jeff responding to me on Facebook messenger. Since I was bent on only spending what I was wanting to, I made and offer that was approved. I was putting 1/3 down so I figured that it would be easy for financing. I asked about my out the door price and if the vehicle was 4wd due to it being described as 4wd. I was told that it was 2wd so while disappointing, I was still interested. I asked for a carfax, with Jeff sending it to me. After reviewing it, I agreed to provide my information for financing. I was soon told that I was good and I agreed to proceed with the process. I asked if they would consider taking my old truck as a trade, with them stating that due to the high mileage, they were not interested. They did eventually offer 1000 just to make the deal, which I declined. I then agreed to get the vehicle, but advised that due to going out of town, I was unable to retrieve the vehicle. It was requested that I put a 350 good faith payment on the vehicle so that they could hold the vehicle which I did. I explained that I would have to retrieve the vehicle on the following weekend because of my crazy work schedule, with Jeff offering a delivery of the vehicle for $100. I reluctantly agreed and a date was scheduled. Due to my job, I had to reschedule for the following week with Jeff agreeing. As I continued to look close at the vehicle pictures, I observed a few blemishes not explained in the description of the vehicle. I brought these issues up to Jeff, who put me in contact with the manager Greg. I explained to Greg that I understood that I was purchasing a used vehicle, so I didn't plan on perfection, but that they were not explained when asked about damage or on the description. He stated that he would drop the delivery fee, so I agreed to still purchase the vehicle. On the date that the vehicle was delivered, it was a pretty cold day. Both Jeff and another employee pulled up and I was able to see the vehicle. I checked the vehicle over, but like Murphy's law I missed one critical part before signing the papers. I did not think to check the heater (which I could have kicked my self for). When I had signed the papers and before they had even gotten 1 mile away, I checked and found that the heater was not working at all. I was upset, but figuring that the reviews were decent and that I had purchased an extended warranty (that I was told was as close to bumper to bumper as a factory warranty but had a 100 deductible) I figured that the warranty would cover the part and due to it being something that was broke on arrival, the business would cover the deductible. I spoke to Greg who stated that it was a covered part and that I just needed to pay the deductible. I advised that I shouldn't have to pay anything, with him stating that he was not obligated to pay anything. Pissed as I was, I immediately took MY NEW VEHICLE to the dealership....20 minutes after purchase to the dealership. The advisor stated that the warranty was a good one sold at their business and that the part should be covered. I later received a call that it was not covered, so I figured that Greg would be honorable and cover the cost.. NOPE...since the dealer said that this was an out of pocket repair, it was going to cost 700+ to fix the heater vs a 440 warranty repair. They called Greg who advised that he was calling the warranty people to get this worked out. When that didn't work he called the business to explain the same. I spoke to Greg again, advising that this was poor business practice and that I feel like I got a bad deal. He stated that he was under no obligation to fix anything but that he would cover 200 of the bill. I explained that it was my fault for not checking the heater, because if I had, I would have never purchased the truck. He apologized and then told me that he had to go to the owner just to get it for the price agreed on and was looking out for me since I was a first responder. After going back and fourth, he eventually agreed to pay 300. Thank the Lord that Hudson Nissan in Charleston was sympathetic to this deal, because they took care of me and they only charged me $54 out of pocket for the repair. While I understand that I should have checked the vehicle completely before signing, I understand that in the business world we are as good as our next business dealing. Word of mouth is a powerful tool and knowing this, I always focus on telling the good with the bad so that people get a truthful picture of a business. but I am very disappointed with how this ended. Tryon St Charlotte NC 28213 in Charlotte NC * I told the sales person that I was interested in a car that had been advertised for 7k online. * I was told that car was not available, despite seeing it in the lot. * I informed the sales person that I was/am a member of the military and that my funds were limited. * The sales person showed me a few vehicles that were out of my price range - including a Dodge Challenger. * I reminded the sales person that I was not looking for a muscle car and that my funds were limited. * I was shown and subsequently purchased a 2017 Nissan Sentra SV for what I believed to be a purchase price of $12,000.00. (It had a Re-Built title) * I made a down payment of $5,000, with an addition $2,000.00 in fees, and believed I was financing $7,000.00 through GM Financial (the financing option offered by the dealer) at an Apr you were told was 8%. * I was told the paperwork would be sent to me - it never was - despite multiple attempts to contact the dealer and receive it. * I made regular payments for approximately 5 months through GM Financial. * March of 2021 year, I checked my remaining acct balance with GM Financial and sent payment for the full remaining balance as shown on the account. * From this time on I have not been able to log into the account. I'd considered the account paid in full. * On 5th of March, 2023 date, my car was repossessed. * I was told there was a balance of $12,000.00 owed on the lien with the total being $21,000.00- even though I believe I had made payment in full * GM Financial agrees there is a discrepancy in the paperwork filed by the dealer but since I never received that paperwork and Adams Auto Group will not respond to my inquiries, I have no way of confirming. * I am in the process of seeking legal advice because I believe I made a good faith effort to pay off the lien on the car and have been unduly harmed by the process. read more

Adam Auto Group and Charlotteans, I would leave no star if it were possible. However, I was there inquiring about the 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude with LOTS OF EXTRAS. I had the privilege to meet with "Lyin Ryan" on this occasion. Upon arriving the the vehicle was being brought out front and I noticed the 5 LED light bars that were added to the vehicle had been removed. After asking about the lights he stated he had no idea and would have to check. We waited as we walked inside and was back outside before the door fully closed and stated "They were stolen". Which is crazy to me that the thief had time to remove the lights, the wiring, the control board and put everything back together like they were never there in the time it took us to drive there. Secondly, this wonderful salesman stated that this was an High Altitude which not only doesn't exist in that year, but the car is also a latitude. Then stated it had a custom lift from the factory which also, is not a thing. To top all of this, the vehicle was listed on Facebook for $13,895. When we called to inquire about this vehicle, they stated the price had went up because they had added more to the vehicle. However, when we got there it was missing more than it had in the ad and was now being supported by an imaginary lift. I read a lot of reviews and I was a little nervous at first, however I worked with two salesmen that both treated me great Roy and Darren. At first there were a few issues with getting me financed with their lenders (mostly just proof of residence as I live with a friend and I do not have any bills in my name) but after sorting that out and spending a total of about two hours at the dealership (in my opinion that is not to long based off past experiences) I finally am about to leave with my m3. The only reason I gave this place 4 stars instead of 5 is some other salesman came up to me asking my name and trying to snipe the sale from Roy and Darren, which I didn't appreciate at all. Besides that my experience was good. The showroom is clean and they play r&b type of music and not like trap kind so that was something I really appreciated. Everyone was pretty much nice and my finance manager was efficient with the paperwork, I was only in his office for a short amount of time like 10 minutes which was great. Normally that's the Grind type of part where you get pushed into all these extra warranties and stuff, but with this guy it wasn't. Maybe that's because this is not a new car dealer it is a used dealer and I have never bought from a used dealer before. We bought a truck over the summer and have had problems that our aftermarket warranty won't cover as we were sold a tuned and deleted diesel truck. We were never told the warranty that we paid for would not be covered at any dealership as the truck is now considered illegal. Anytime we try calling Chance in Charlotte, our calls are ignored. He has promised to swap out our truck, yet this promise has never been granted. These guys make the buying experience great and will tell you anything they can to sell you the vehicle. The salesman who assisted us had his mask down. I asked him to please put it on, and he did, but he told me that COVID was a hoax. We looked around on the lot, then came back in looking for the aforementioned salesman. The receptionist asked which salesman I was looking for. "Was it a bald guy?" she asked. I said, "Yeah, but there are three bald guys working here, so-" At that moment, her boss (?) walked by. She said to him that I had talked to three different salesmen. Went in to look at a car that they had just sold 2 hours prior. I was told the seller had put a $1000 hold on the car and it was unavailable. The salesman told me the buyer was all cash. Told me a should've made an appointment. I said I did. You notice I'm here on time? I was unbothered. I looked over the inventory however I couldn't find anything else I was interested in. I left. The next day, I received a call the deal fell through the car was now available. Mentioned that the buyer couldn't secure financing. ??? All cash right??? Anyway.... When I arrived at the dealership I received a set of keys that looked like the were dug up from a ditch.... all the buttons were missing it was dirty with red mud. I mentioned I hope I can get a better set of keys? This review is getting longer than I wanted so ...... I crank up the car.... after two minutes of sitting in the driver's seat, noticing they didn't even clean the car. It smelled horrible. They didn't even wipe the dust off the dashboard. While adjusting the mirrors the oil light comes on, the check engine light comes on, I noticed the front end bumper was barely hanging on. Needless to say, I didn't drive the car anywhere, I did however put the car in drive, they had the car idled so high, I could go almost 6mph without stepping foot on the accelerator. I purchased a car from adams on 12/9/2019. i cannot get a good title. I have been trying to get the title mailed to me since 12/20/19. I finally got the title and it was not signed by the seller. Therefore, i cannot register the car. My drive out tag is expiring tomorrow. I can't even get the manager to return my calls or answer the phone now. I can understand problems. I can't understand why they don't get these worked out prior to selling the car. Also, why can't they even send another drive out tag so i can drive the car while they get the title issues worked out. i have spoken to anton the sales person, ricardo, the location manager, maria the title person for that location, Anthony the dmv person. Worst car buying experience in 52 years. From management all the way down to the mechanics, this outfit is despicable. They sold me a car that was literally very dangerous for me to drive. I recognized the car had issues when they delivered it to my residence. They assured me they would pay to have car fixed or give my money back in full. I'm 10 weeks in...still no fixed car. I'm working with another mechanic to fix the car. The drive for me to get to their establishment is 2 hours. I made that drive 3 times! On the 3rd trip...after waiting on them for 6 hours...the car was in a worse condition than when I purchased it. The mechanic and manager of mechanic shop...Wally ran out to their cars and left because they were embarrassed of being able to fix the car! The assistant manager on duty refused to help me in anyway. He said it was past closing time, and would not be lending me a car to drive home and would not have anyone to get me back home. I was fit to be tied! When I told him what a horrible decision he was making by sending a 52year old woman 110 pounds away in a vehicle that could break down at any moment during a 2hour drive home, he told me that he was calling the police to have me removed! I left the dealership in distraught! The car was barely drivable! It took me over 4 hours to get back home...due to the extensive damages of the front end and steering issues. The new mechanic could not believe that I made the dangerous trip at all! I am now in the process of getting the vehicle fixed by a true mechanic and will be seeking reimbursements by Adam's dealership. If they do not choose to comply...then I will be forced to take more drastic measures. Please be aware of this establishment. read more

I went to see a van that was advertised online. The van was filthy. It had obviously been "detailed". There was plastic over the stained carpet and some kind of nasty old organic substance dried up on the I side when you open the back door. All of the woodgrain pieces were dingy and greasy looking. When the sales person asked what I did for a living at told him I was in the film industry. (I'm a scenic charge in set construction) He got a weird smile on his face and asked me if I did adult films... as in, was I a porn actress. I won't be back!!! In addition he insisted that I complete a Google review prior to leaving the dealership. It's been literally 12 days since I've purchased my car (2013 Charger RT with 68k miles) and I've had to take it back 3 times for repairs. The first day: While driving the car I noticed that the passenger airbag light was on so I called back into the office to let them know that there may be issues with the car. I was advised that the car I purchased has an airbag and that it would be fixed for free by a local Dodge dealership. 6 days after purchase: I took the car to Keffer Dodge for the airbag recall and was told that there's also a recall on my alternator (new car with a safety recall + alternator recall = great sale). HOWEVER, while waiting for my car to be finished I was advised that my water pump was severely damaged, my airbag system has issues beyond the recall, and that the total repairs could cost up to $2000..... I got a new alternator though lol. I called Adams and let the rep from Dodge explain the issues with my newly purchased car hoping it could an easy fix but they said "your extended warranty isn't effective until you've owned the car for 30 days or drove it for 1000 miles... but we'll fix it for free if he purchase the parts from you guys" (complete bs). After a long debate and reaching out to my finance company, Wells Fargo, Adams agreed that they should fix the water pump. I dropped the car off Friday evening, picked it up the next day, and was told to come back the following week to fix my airbag issue. Strike 1! DAY 9 of ownership: Took the car back for airbag system repairs and picked it up later that evening. DAY 10 of ownership: On my way to work I noticed that every time I made a left turn the car would make a popping noise. I've had multiple cars so I knew that this was an issue with my tire rods. When I called Adams they seemed to be annoyed that it was me and didn't want to help rectify the issue so ONCE AGAIN I have to reach out to my finance company for some assistance. Strike 2! DAY 11 of ownership: Adams calls me to let me know that Wells Fargo has an open case against them due to selling me a bs car, it's possible that my loan could be voided, AAANNNNNDDDD that my down payment may evaporate into thin air if my complaint got back to the owner. Striiiike 3! You got me fucked up! DAY 12 of ownership: They asked me to bring in the car for repairs and then decided to keep it after having it in their possession for a few hours. They refunded my down payment which is exactly what I expected and I went to the office to pick up my belongings. That's the only positive thing I have to say about this company. Moral of the story: Treat everyone with respect because you don't know who you're fucking with. I'm just a guy from the Westside of Charlotte but my reach is LOOOONNNNGGGG. This is the worst dealership to go to. Their communication is terrible. Talked with Pam and she said the car I was wanting to look at was at the Kannapolis Main St location. So my son and I go there and Adam said the car will not be at that location for another two days. Adam told me as soon as the car was delivered on the lot he would text me. Well the next day I texted back out to Pam to find out the location on the car. Adam then responds to my text and said is was delivered that morning. Had I known sooner I could have been there that morning but it was to late in the day for me to come see the car. So I told Adam I would be there the next day at 2:30 because my son has college classes the next morning. Adam then tells me no worries he would fend people off the car just in case someone was to be interested. I told him thank you very much. So the next day my son and I show up at 2:00 pulled in the lot and Adam meets us getting out of my car and tells me someone right then was inside buying the car with cash. I told him I had cash also. I had to rate this business otherwise I couldn't post a review. They had a truck for sale on their website. We made an appointment to drive up the next day to test drive it. The truck wasn't NC certified so we had to drive back on 5-14 but they said if we were really interested in the truck we had to pay $500 down to hold it. Upon arriving 5-14 we and test driving the truck it had so many problems that we decided not to get it however they refused a refund for the $500. They never told us it was a non- refundable deposit. The people here are the biggest liars and crooks EVER! Especially Teddy (if that's even his name). He tries to gain your trust with a bunch of BS and talks about them being God fearing people there. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Pay the extra $500-1000 you could save here and go somewhere else. They will tell you anything to sell a car. They try to cover up serious imperfections with the cars to get them off the lot. They sell a lot of cars that have been in multiple accidents, but may not be reported on carfax. They did me wrong on so many different levels I don't even feel like typing all of it! Sold me a car with a tire they knew was going flat. (Imagine waking up to a flat tire after purchasing a new car) Changed it out with another tire on the lot a week later and took the tire pressure sensor off with it and said the light would reset itself (we found out later when we had to replace). Now all the sudden the "no passenger airbag" light is coming on. Told me the bumper needed to be repainted because of a few scratches, when really there was an issue with it that they tried to cover up and bond together. Went over a pothole and the bumper came out the side of the car! There's more to tell but why waste more time on them. I really was hoping for a great experience from this place as I bought a car from this place back in 2009 when it was called Adams Auto Mart. You would not believe how horribly I was disappointed walking into this "new" dealership. The receptionist came off very cold when I asked her questions. She didn't seem to want to be bothered. I tried to tell her about my previous experience and how excited I was to buy from them again. All she did was tell me to go sit down and someone would be with me. I felt horribly ignored. After waiting about 20 minutes, finally the Sales Manager, Everett Adams, came to get me. When I walked into his office, we were followed by two other employees who seemed to think my business was of lesser importance than any inquiry I was currently making. Sitting down with Mr. Adams, I asked him how he was, he just replied, but didn't return the courtesy. I told him my name and I waited for him to tell me his, but it only lead to awkward silence. He seemed very cold and trying to hard sell me on a car (Cadillac Eldorado) without being very concerned with my questions. I had to ask to see the car I wanted to see five times before he proceeded to walk out with me to inspect it. When I had questions about the condition of the car, it was quickly brushed off and retorted with the gist of "Well, with a car this old, it's to be expected." While I was asking more questions, he proceeded to turn to other customers in the lot to ask if they needed help which made me feel like my business was not important at all. I was SOOOOO disappointed by my service and mainly because I was so happy to buy from what I THOUGHT was the place I bought my car from so happily only six years ago. I went with a friend to look at/ test drive a few different vehicles before purchasing. Since we were both looking at several different options we were not planning on buying that day. Once the sales woman found out she told us that it was rude of us to come in on their busiest day and not buy a car, so she dropped us off in the lot to find what we wanted to drive before leaving and never returning to speak to us or allow us to drive a car. There are numerous typos on the sales information of the vehicles (selling a honda for over $300k?). Definitely buyer beware. I'm not angry, just sad. Online, I found a really neat car but needed $1000-$3000 put into it. They aren't open Sundays, so I spent my day making pros and cons lists and doing my research. The salesman was a new hire and did a good "cold read" on me the day of the test drive. I knew the negotiation would be hard. When I came back to buy the car, we could not come to terms and I had to walk away. The out the door price was even higher *with* my trade in. How does that work? I had a low offer, true, but it was what I thought was fair for a high mileage car with bald front tires. This is my third try buying from an independent dealer in Charlotte. All these independent dealers are making each other look bad. Adams tries to act like they are Carmax. Carmax they are not. I purchased a car from Adams Auto Group in June 2013. The online car buying experience was OK. Everything afterwards has been terrible. They did not send me the Title. Had to call several times since this was an out of state purchase. The photos were misleading. The car did not come with a 2nd key, per the purchase folder from when they bought it at an auction. And they hired the cheapest transport company who broke the front bumper which cost over $500 to fix. No replies to repeated efforts to get a claim check from the driver or from Adams Auto group. I would not recommend doing business with Adams Auto Group. read more

3 minutes ago I went to test drive a car for my birthday. My appointment was at 3 pm. I got there around 1:30. By 4 I still had not test drove the car as they did my financial stuff first which did not make sense to me because I didn't even know if I wanted the car. When I drove the car it had a bad shake. I had not made it far before I said I didn't want it because something was wrong. My boyfriend said he thought it could be tires or rotors but was not sure cause hes not a mechanic. The salesman Roland said the mechanic was on vacation but if i liked the car that we could bring it back the following Saturday and they would take care of what ever it was. I was worried about it but was promised by sales and Rene the finance manager they would fix it. I went back the following Saturday to be told the rims were bent it was not the tires or rotors so they would not fix that i would have to pay. Rene said he would have to talk to the owner Chuck to see if they could cover it. I was not asking for new wheels just for them to be straightened. I said i would wait and was told oh he may not even be in today. After he just told me he would be. Complete blow off. I talked to the service manager Chris. Rene admitted he said he would take care of it. I sent the owner chuck two emails with no response. After a couple calls to Chris Rene called and said they were not going to fix it. Liars liars liars. If they would have been upfront and just said we sale as is we cant fix it i woul have never taken the car. I strongly advise buying elsewhere. Unless you like shady business practice. Lesson learned. read more

I bought a 2004 Nissan Altima 1 year ago to this day. It has been nothing but a money drain. When it didn't start immediately while trying to crank it up on the lot, the salesmen said "it's just been sitting for awhile." It drove fine and I did not see any rust so I decided "ok." Upon filling out the paperwork, they wanted me to pay $600 in dealer fees although this amount did not include tag and title. The car cost me $3.6k and so far $2.6k in repairs in one years' time. Now I am being told that the engine is dying. If I could sue them, I would. I wish I had come and read these reviews first but I trusted some more positive ones elsewhere. They have the nerve to send me emails here and there. I will never buy a car there or suggest a car be bought there ever again. read more

Buyer beware. Looked at three cars. The one I wanted and was willing to buy had a bad "fuel pump". It magically started the next day and so me and the salesman went for a drive. The car broke down while we were driving it. Waited and hour for the flat bed to come and get us. But before that, I noticed the rear wheels vibrating (bad bearings) and the salesman said "oh yeah I forgot about that. We will fix that" so that night the salesman said we will fix the fuel pump and the bearings and he'd call me when it was ready......next morning, he calls...."somebody came and bought the car As-Is so it's no available" He gets a call from me that afternoon "I went to Huntersville Ford and got a better car with less miles for less money and a warranty". The manager of the N. Tryon St. facility is eager to please and wants to make a good deal for you, but it's about the quick sale. Find what you want and buy it quick or it'll be gone. Make sure you do your homework ahead of time (And buy the warranty if you can afford it). They are willing to deal but don't bother with anything under $12,000. Not good stock in that range. read more

First off, this place states they cater to the public, but informed me they give first dibs to dealerships, so those dealerships may resell at a higher price. I called on a 2001 Jeep Cherokee they had listed that same day. Car was freshly cleaned, and detailed in the pictures. I emailed the dealership 3x about the vehicle with my contact information, and that I was ready to buy that day. I recieved 3 automated messages from a Veronica Davalos in which she nevver answered any of my questions. I finally called and spoke with a female who stated that they catered to dealerships first, even though I was the first to call about the car. She also stated that she would call me back Wednesday if the car was still available. Today is Wednesday and I get an email from clueless Veronica who states that she was glad to speak to me on the phone today, when she never called like promised. I messaged back stating that no one called me about the vehicle, to which Veronica replied "I sent that to you on accident, but the car is no longer available" which means veronica and her cronies sold it out from under me, without even contacting me when it became available. Shady business here folks. They dont want your money or your time, obviously. I would shop somewhere else, at a place where people actually care. Thanks for reading. read more
