They sell locally produced ice cream, which is what they're known for most, although they have a delicious breakfast and lunch menu, including the usual croque-monsiers, crepes, homemade soups (mmmm) and teacakes. There was plenty of parking around the back of the cafe, but there was a bit of a queue for ice cream. We probably waited about 20 minutes before reaching the front of the queue, but we had plenty of time to choose the flavor we were going to have! There are over 60 flavors to chose from, so it can be a tough decision. I actually chose a flavor that wasn't on the board, but I had read about it on the website. There are a variety of cones that you can choose from as well, and prices are reasonable with 2 double scoop cones costing £7. There is also a cafe at the location serving hot food and afternoon tea and a children's play area at the rear with crazy golf and table tennis. Service was friendly, if not too speedy! I went for 2 scoops; chocolate brownie and marathon (snickers) and my friend went for ferrero rocher and walnut whip. We both felt the flavors melted into each other and couldn't work out which flavor was which, but it tasted good! There are just so many flavors to chose from I'm sure you could have a different opinion every time. If you really like your flavor, they actually sell tubs of their ice cream for £4.95. I enjoyed my ice cream, but it wasn't the best I've ever tasted, but I'm probably quite well versed in ice cream! My friend gave her ice cream a 6/5, so she loved it! Definitely drop in for a scoop if driving past.

Also they serve snacks but im never able to get the hang of northern food. You can have plum bread & cheese but its not bread it is cake. I was pleasently surprised how much this place had to offer as if all that icecream and cakes wasn't enough for you there is also animals which includes donkeys, rabbits, goats, geese, and of course cows and a playground and mini golf. Yes there is mini golf with the most amazing views of West Yorkshire The icecream was simply delicious I have to admit it was difficult to decide from all the yummy flavours 24 in total lucky that it is possible to have scoops of different ones together in one tub. Also they sell large tubs to take away and store in your freezer. It is possible to eat inside the cafe or the is seating outside which is lovely on a nice day. LICC provides a nice option in downtown York to get your creamy fix. Sometimes long lines form, but don't let that dissuade you, as the line moves fairly fast. I'm used to ice cream shops in LA that have some pretty crazy flavors, but that's not LICC's style. Instead, they serve straightforward and traditional flavors. You can accompany your ice cream with different style cones though, and there are also wafers and cookies to be had as toppings. Overall, the ice cream is presented in a very appealing fashion. I've been on a milkshake kick, so I opted to combine two ice cream flavors (banana and custard) in my milkshake. The end result was a light, airy milkshake with just the right amount of creaminess. If straight ice cream isn't your style, I highly recommend creating your own milkshake concoction. There's a car park and the cafe is accessible by wheelchair.The ice cream is available in large tubs to take home, and they also sell a wide range of homemade jams and preserves. They do bits of food too - toasted teacakes and fantastic bacon sandwiches. The staff are really friendly and it'd be a lovely place to go with the family. In terms of the farm, there isn't a great deal to see - a little walk and a couple of animals, but the cafe is the star attraction for me!

The kids loved all the different farm animals and wouldve happily stayed there all day but we became a bit hungry so we needed to get food. There is a small cafe there with a few outside tables too and they do the normal range of small cafe foods - sandwiches/buns, etc with a nice selection of home made icecreams which were gorgeous. They do a nice cream tea which was very filling and gorgeous. The place as a bit hard to find so make sure you have directions before setting off. The prices are a bit steep but well worth it for a nice afternoon out or even a stay overnight. The place is nice and tidy with the exception of farm smells obviously. The staff are very friendly and even invited us into their house to look at their new kittens., how trusting is that? A lovely day out.

The fish is always fresh and the batter is nice and crunchy and not greasy. The prices have gone up lately but from what I can tell they have everywhere.
