Yes it…read morehas plenty of Benetton clothes for ladies and kids, plus Sisley clothes and accessories, but get yourself upstairs where there's an offshoot of the Harrison fashion mecca. For the uninitiated (poor you), Harrisons stocks lovelies from Religion, Traffic People and other equally fabulous labels. Prices can be a little high - about £80 for a top for example - but these are lovely clothes and of course the sale is the time to shop. Kids Benetton clothes go down to 70% off but you'll need to be quick. Upstairs the ladies clothes also go down to 70% off and I have picked up some superb bargains. The most recent was a faux fur winter coat down from £150 to £45. The kids say I look like a yeti in it, but what do they know about fashion?

A combination of the Northern Ireland weather and spending much of the summer on the north coast have forced me to buy a waterproof coat (eek) and waterproof boots (double eek). Both of these unfashionable but necessary additions to my wardrobe came from here and cost the princely sum of £5 and £7. There are loads of fleeces, waterproofs, hats, socks, boots and sturdy trainers, all for men, women and kids. The kid's fleeces and waterproofs are great value at £3 and up and are ideal for anyone who spends a few weeks on our beautiful but wet and windy north coast. The shop can get very busy during the summer and the front half of it is very narrow so be prepared for a little bit of stress for a whole lot of bargains.

They refused to refund me for the items sent back which were not as described (seconds?), which as far as I am awre is illegal, but I can't be bothered chasing them for that amount. Lesson learned. It's just too expensive for me to buy clothes for my own two kids there as they tend to rip, stain and generally ruin most things within a week. So if you A) need to buy a baby gift or B) have children who can be trusted to wear beautiful things, Pumpkin Pie is for you. It is filled with the cutest baby clothes and blankies, little soft teddies and clothes for older kids, up to the age of about 10. If you're into your labels you'll recognise Ducky Beau (my personal fave for little boys), Me Too and Lego. There are other ranges of similar price and style. Prices are high, but these are high end clothes for nippers. A t shirt will be around £25 and a dress about £45 but as with most high end shops, the sale is the time to shop. Time it right and you'll get a good choice of reduced stuff.

This one from the outside looks almost edible with its bright colours and very welcoming sign. Plus the big up to 70% off sign does nothing but lure me in. I love all the cute little dresses and outfits for the little girls but I'm auntie to a little boy. There are some really nice little boy outfits in here with the usual pirate, animal and car themes. I picked my nephew up a lovely little t shirt with a panda bear on the front for £12.00 and it had been reduced quite a lot in the sale. Non sale items are a little on the expensive side but it is Holywood after all. A lovely shop, I hope my sister has a girl next as I really want to go back and get some of the gorgeous girlie clothes.

Kids clothes are from Gant, Hilfiger and Timberland while us ladies can choose from Part Two, Armani, D and G and Versace. Drool. You can probably tell from the labels that this is a pricey kinda shop and not somewhere most of us would buy from every week. But for a special occasion, or for a couple of splurges a year, it's perfect. In the mens and ladies departments, you'll get good old fashioned customer service without too much of the old hard sell. They will also get clothes altered for you, albeit at an extra cost. Sale time is a good time to shop when you'll pick up a bargain, particularly towards the end of the sale as prices can go down to as much as 70% off. Be warned though, during sale time, they don't accept credit cards or gift vouchers. I am going to be honest and say that I find it sharp practice not to accept gift vouchers during the sale. Why not? Someone has paid them for that gift voucher and you should be allowed to spend it when you wish. If that policy ever changes, I'll bump them up to four stars........

Moores is a traditional kind of small department store which has successfully managed to move with…read morethe times. It still retains the genteel air of an older department store, with plenty of clothes that only men and women of a certain age would wear. However, there is also lots of fashion and homewares which young and young at heart shoppers will love. There's everything from make up - Clarins and Clinique - to Canterbury rugby gear; funky costume jewellery to beautiful scented candles. Moores also has an Accessorise and Monsoon concession, a toy shop and a lovely café. The café sells only home made food that tastes how it should do and is always very busy so you might find a bit of a queue. On the top floor are kids clothes and also a toy shop which is well stocked with lego, dolls, games and jigsaws. So you can always bribe the kids with a pocket money price toy if they behave while you browse on the other two floors. They have also recently opened a Bear Factory where you can create your own bear. You can see the stuffing being churned around inside a big machine, which I find a little freaky but the kids love it.

Yes, they do stock sensible and comfortable styles for men and women but on the first and to the side of the ground floor you'll find shoes to make you drool. The first floor houses the Italian Room which is full of expensive looking, fashionable shoes. So no surprise then that they are expensive. But it's definitely a case of getting what you pay for as these bad boys are unusual and very very classy. I have my eye on a matching bag and shoes. Now there's something I never thought I'd say. These are pale grey mock croc, silver cone heels and a platform sole. The bag is a sleek evening clutch which calls my name every time I see it. On the ground floor, B2 is where you'll find the really trendy shoes from labels like Ted Baker, Irregular Choice and Fly London. Yum. The kids section is also well worth a visit (but not in the last 2 weeks of August when it is jammed with kids, harassed staff and hysterical mothers). Lots of Timberland, Geox, Lelly Kellies etc. Bishops is a traditional family owned shoe emporium (they still hand write your receipts) which has moved with the times. Well done them.

Taking that all into account they do stock an impressive range of shoes and handbags - when I go in I am in shoe heaven!
