My frustrations with Adam's Pest Control started on their website when I tried to submit a request for service. I typed in all the requested info and hit submit. It came back with "INTERNAL ERROR/500". I went back and retyped it all and tried again. Same error. If you hit the little red envelope in bottom right corner, it says to type your request ---a big white empty space pops up, but I could not get the keyboard to pop up so I could type. At this point, I went to my email to see if, despite that Internal Error/500, maybe I received an email. Nope. I waited for the office to open and talked to an agent. I told her i wanted to request service. She started to take my information. We soon realized my info WAS in the system... so despite the internal error/500, it did go through! She said an email went out to me at 7:07am. I see nothing. So without asking me, she began rattling off so many dollar figures of possible service plans --my head was spinning. Had she asked if I had a pen & paper, I would have been ready. I know it may sound silly, but after EVERY possible scenario of monthly billing, quarterly billing, and annual billing options she said "not including taxes". She must have said it 10 times. I'm like maybe just say at the end say all of these dollar amounts do not include tax rate of x.x%. The prices were the HIGHEST I have ever heard! The email that was sent at 7:07am did finally arrive at 9:24am. So that's my review. I'm sure they would have done a great job at those prices. read more

I have used Adams Pest Premeir home service for a couple of years. In the past they might not have been able to get all the mice, but they tried hard. One technician (Paula S gets a 5 star rating), however the rest of the team's performance is poor. They do not show up (happened twice after I travelled 100 miles to meet them) and the customer reps on the phone are not helpful. Actually scheduling on line does not work. When I quit the service nobody asked why or did any follow up. Their billing is very efficient however...guaranteed!!! read more

Had Adam's come over to address a mouse problem we were addressing for about 2 weeks. We tried traps with peanut butter and sticky traps. We managed to catch 1 on a sticky trap,, but they wouldn't touch the traps with peanut butter. Adams set 8 of their snap traps with peanut butter. Told them about our experience but he said their traps were better. Over the weekend, we didn't get any mice. My wife had an idea to try Nutella. She set 2 traps and within an hour, we had our first mouse. Long story short, in one day using the Nutella, we caught 9 mice, none on Adam's traps. Contacted Adams on Monday about how we caught the mice and asked if we could get a partial refund since their traps didn't work and they said no because we were paying for the 6 month warranty. Won't bother to call them again. Positive side, the found 2 entrance points which he filled. read more

Too expensive. They base the fee on the sq footage of your home. The technician was nice and she found our mouse problem very quickly. She was at our house for 30 min. We got billed over $400.00. Not a great value. read more

I have used Adam's Pest Control for the past 6 months. Found each Serviceman very professional and courteous. Had a problem with a Rodent in the Attic. They came out and got the Rodent set traps and fixed a hole in the soffit. Had a Home inspection and the Inspector found Rodent Droppings. Called this morning and asked if they were old or perhaps new. The RUDE Operator said, "You did not pay for an Attic Cleanup"! I was never advised of one!!!!! Canceled my monthly Service. It is a shame Adam's Pest Control has a person with No Customer Courtesy. read more

Update: I left a two star review this time last year. I overheard two neighbors talking in the hall that they sprayed pesticides outside their open garden level windows for the second year in a row. This is not only bad business practices, but it's endangering the health of our residents and their dogs. read more

Year after year they don't show up to complete their contracted service and then when you call to ask where they have been they say "we don't have enough technicians, we're doing our best." Just a thought, if you don't have enough technicians to complete the work don't take a contract for it. Will be searching for a new company, this has happened too many summers in a row. We have used Adams at both our home and cabin for years and even hired them recently for ongoing service to do pest control at our church. Adam's has helped us control our mouse and insect issues. They give us a heads-up before they come out and provide great customer service on top of handling the pests so well. We sighted a mouse in our apartment and reported it to our landlord, who then hired Adams Pest Control. We received notification that they would come to our apartment between 8am and noon a few days later. We bent over backwards to accommodate that 4-hour window, but the business ghosted us. Nobody arrived during the time slot, and no communication was made. About an hour past the end of the service window, we contacted our apartment building's staff to reach out about it. We received no update or communication. Eventually we couldn't just wait around any longer and left to get groceries at 2:30. Upon returning we found a note saying they had been in our home at 3:25 (meaning we'd have had to just wait at home for seven and a half hours in order to meet them). In our absence, they placed a single trap against a random wall. The trap is against a heat register so I'm not even sure if it's safe to leave there, and it's nowhere near the holes we were going to point out (if they had honored their service window that we went out of our way to accommodate for them). I am also filing a complaint with the BBB. read more

For years I have had problems with mice getting in my house when it gets cold. I had Adam's pest control out and the did a check around the outside of my house to figure out where the mice were getting in. The found it and blocked it. Ordered a spider service. Ended up having a couple issues. The one that made me the most mad and the reason for cancelling was that they raised pricing without notification. Separate issue was that they had to come out multiple times for results and when I checked the camera, it doesn't look like they showed up for one of the services that I was billed for. They did come out after I called them on it. Cancelled service and don't plan on going back. Found considerably cheaper pricing from competitors online. read more

Be aware: Adams may do a fine job if you have a one-story house, but if it's taller than that, I recommend looking elsewhere. I called them based on the recommendation of a friend who said they did a great job of getting rid of their mouse problem. For around $200 the technician came out, perused the foundation of my house, plugged a couple of holes and put out some poison baits. When I asked how he was going to take care of the holes farther up (my house is three stories tall) he said they didn't do that and I'd have to call someone else. Rodent activity dipped temporarily. I ended up hiring a roofing and construction specialist for $1200 who did the job right. read more

I have been dealing with mice every winter for 5 years. While my tech has found areas they're getting in, when I call for service when I have live mice they can't get someone out until a week later! ONE WEEK! I have to deal with paying Adams for a service I can't get them out to take care of even though they "provide" that service. Today, because I was upset, I was hung up on by one of their operators. I told her to deactivate my account and she hung up on me. Nice. You do realize I'm upset because your company hasn't provided service it promises. read more

They do not bother to double check to see if the residents were given 24-hour notice. We were not. They entered my apartment while I was getting lunch. They screwed around with my hospital bed. I had to fix it to sleep. No one has the right to dig through your stuff especially your bed. read more

I paid for a monthly pest control service and expected to see them monthly. They showed up the first time and placed traps, the second and third time they drove up the driveway and did not get out of the car, the poison in 2 of the traps was empty. We have cameras near the house and recorded this. I was a customer for 4 years and had a fairly costly yearly service. Last summer I discovered a ground wasp nest right in the backyard making the space unusable. I called Adams and was told it would be 'a few weeks' before they could get someone out. This was unacceptable and when I explained that I was literally 3 miles down the road and asked if someone couldn't just stop on their way to of from another call, I was informed that 'that's not how it works.' Summers are short here as it is and making a back yard unusable for 'a few weeks' was not an option. If I could give them minus stars i would. This company recently purchased East Central Exterminators. Dale and his family always provided excellent honest service, no written contracts reqired, a handshake as good as his word. Adam's took over, their business plan appears to be to provide unauthorized treatments and then dare you not to pay them. They gave me a "courtesy" call saying they were coming, then billed me for the treatment. When I objected that I never authorized the treatment, I was told I was signed up for annual spider treatment (not true) and they called. Madison then told me she would take me off the list for the "future" if I wanted. I will not be paying this bill and will bring them to small claims court if needed. Buyer beware!!!!! read more

Don't bother with Adam's. There are better options. I called seeking help with a wasp nest. I was told the earliest they would come to treat was roughly two weeks from the day of my call. I set up the appointment, then called around to see if I might be able to find service sooner than that. Keep in mind this service takes about 10 minutes to complete and I am located about 5 miles from their office. I called Plunketts and they had someone to my house that afternoon. When, two days later, it was clear the first treatment didn't completely resolve the problem, they returned for another treatment (again, within hours) at no additional charge. I thought I called to cancel my appointment with Adam's, they say I didn't. It's possible they are correct. Apparently they sent someone out, sprayed the poison to treat the wasp situation without checking with me to understand the problem, or the location where we were having trouble. They did not follow up except to send me a bill. With Plunketts I knew when and where they were spraying, and what precautions were appropriate following treatment. The level of communication from Adam's is unprofessional. The fact that they expect full payment for this level of service when none was needed speaks to a lack of integrity. Also, Plunketts is $50 cheaper for the same service, prompt response, and prompt courteous follow up when the first treatment wasn't fully effective. read more

We now have an ongoing contract for both our home and office building and are pleased with the excellent service we have received from Austin and the whole Adam's team. I hired Adam's to get my home ready for winter. The sales process was easy and straightforward. The Technician who came out was very nice and thoroughly explained the warranty to me. A few months later I had a critter in my house and called to use my warranty. The employee I spoke to was loathesome, rude, and repeatedly told me I needed to complete XYZ process before they would honor their warranty. None of which could be completed in the Winter with an exterior source. I told her that I was angry they would not honor their warranty and that I was calling their competitor to which she said "okay". Still angry many months later. 5 stars to my tech and zero stars for their refusal to help me. Please use a company that honors their services read more

I called and let them know I had wasps getting into my 2nd floor bathroom, had to wait 5 days for the appointment, and when the technician arrived she said she had no protective gear and couldn't treat a 2nd floor area, so I had to call another company that actually do a complete job. read more

We had them out to our cabin last summer. We had never had mice in the cabin and were suddenly catching two or three a week. Horrifying. Anyway, the tech came out and solved the problem in a single visit. We haven't caught one since. I asked if we should do the recurring membership and the tech said he didn't think we needed it. Do not hire this company! Their $2000 ineffective bedbug extermination left excessive pesticide fumes that forced us out of our home for 3 months, and then a return of bedbugs when we returned. They could not even answer whether they had treated the basement. They did not remedy the problem or offer a refund so we hired a different company. read more

I would definitely NOT recommend this company. They are super over priced and their product doesn't even work. After 30 days of them spraying my house, I still found 10+ centipedes. I waited to pay my bill for 30 days to see if they issues was resolved, and they threatened to send me to collections right away. They didn't call me about a bill NOR even mail a bill to me. Beside that the company is horrible, at least the tech that came to my house was nice. read more
