I highly recommend you try the meals at Leon's cafe. Leon does the meals for meetings I regularly attend and I have to say the food is always superb! The only drawback for holding a function is the cost they charge - it was a little costly for our fundraising night but if you want quality service, you need to be willing to pay a quality price. The centre also caters for a variety of community classes including photography and yoga. I haven't personally attended these but a couple of friends have and they have always said how enjoyable they are. This place is definitely one to consider for your next function.

There's plenty and it looks really quite amazing. Apart from the obvious Seppeltsfield winery, others like Hentley Farm, Schutz, Two Hands, Greenock Creek or Barossa Valley Estate can be visited along the way. There's a good selection of accommodation around, the most famous place being The Louise with it's renowned restaurant Appellation. If you visit the Barossa, make sure to have a drive along Seppeltsfield Road, it's only a few km's from Tanunda. And don't forget to visit some wineries while at it.

Obviously The Barossa Valley is chiefly recognised for it's wineries, but you don't really have to go to the wineries themselves to taste the wine, it's available everywhere in Adelaide and your bartender or bottle shop attendant should know all about it. Of course it's always fun to visit the cellar door and have a few tastings. The countryside is enough to get me to go back, vineyards as far as the eye can see and lush green hills, it's made for romance.

They have a heap of old (and one not so old) trams that have been painfully restored, as well as some old buses (including one made entirely of wood - go figure) and even a horse drawn tram (though no horses so that ain't going anywhere fast). Of the trams that still work they will bring out four to run the route between the museum and the adventure playground, and the rotate them throughout the day. Maybe that track needs a bit of work (the ride is a little bumpy) but for a low cost day trip this place is great. You can even sit in the driver's seat (which aren't that comfortable) and ring the warning bell to your heart's content (I know I did).

It seats just under 400 and is a proscenium arch stage with small orchestra pit. Over the years it's been the home of Comedy Capers Gang Show, Carry on Guides, Northern Light Theatre Company and many school, dance and community recitals. We are somewhat biased as we have been involved in shows here (or Alexis has at least) for the last 30 or so years.

I've been to a few performances now, and they have been most enjoyable. Before each performance and during interval they open up the bar. A fridge full of water bottles and fruit boxes, volunteers serving tea and coffee. Milk, sugar and biscuits are self serve. The alcohol offerings are simple with cask red and white wines, and a basic sparkling white. The prices are very very cheap. If you get the opportunity to go, just do it as so much better than watching a film.
