I am here to to tell you, none of this happened. In fact, my stay in Rio was beyond delightful. The city was buzzing with excitement and the locals could not be more welcoming. There were many highlights, but one that will stick with me forever is the swimming venue. It was gorgeous and filled with enthusiasm. Watching Katie Ledecky blow past her competition and Michael Phelps turning back the clock to break records and continue to add to his hardware collection is a memory that I will cherish.
