Wow. This florist on Patrick Street has the most amazing ready-made bouquets. Big ones and small ones, they all look and smell like fresh from the garden. I used to work in a flower shop for years and therefore like to make my own floral arrangements, and was impressed by the great selection here: roses, lilies, calias etc. and my favourite exotic flower, heliconias. I've been a customer of this little florist for years now, having bought posies and bouquets for friends and family's birthdays, and I've even been lucky enough to be on the receiving end of a bouquet on a few occasions! Without fail the quality is excellent and the attention to detail superb; seasonal, fragrant, mad, wildflower, sedate, exotic, tasteful, funereal, they can do it all and to your budget and personal requests. Awesome when you want something a bit different. Prices are very good and the staff are lovely, they also have a selection of vases in the shop. I like to drop in when I can, just because I love the atmosphere and the smell - Ahh - and looking at all the flowers, but I've also ordered online and over the phone, and they deliver too. read more

I hesitated for a long time to write this review, but in the end I'd hate for anyone else to have the same experience for their wedding. To be clear, I am not a bridezilla, and I understand that flowers are a natural product that won't exactly resemble a photo, based on what's available in the season and the florist's style. In the past I really liked visiting their shop, and Siobhan was always so kind and helpful. However, I was assigned to Sinead, who was not very pleasant to deal with, and the bouquets and arbor arrangement delivered on my wedding day looked absolutely nothing like what I'd chosen. 1. I chose a bouquet with lots of dried elements and anemones. Sinead and Siobhan had said this was doable, and Sinead confirmed in an email after I made my choice. It was only after I paid in full that Sinead told me Adonis didn't and wouldn't source dried elements, and anemones weren't in season at the time of my wedding. I was disappointed they didn't let me know this before in our conversations but said this was fine. I asked for similar suggestions but Sinead wasn't very responsive or helpful. 2. Sinead sent me the final order only seven days before the wedding, stating the flowers would be red and purple. I corrected her that no, as said many times in previous emails and attached pictures, the flowers were blue and citrus colours with some white, and absolutely no red or purple. She said she'd fix the colours to match the blue/citrus scheme, but yet, on the day when they were delivered, they were again almost entirely red. In fairness, she had found a couple dried elements, but otherwise wasn't even close to what I picked in the kinds of flowers, shape or style. I can only imagine that she confused the supply order, but it was so close to the wedding that she couldn't or wouldn't change it. 3. I purchased extra greenery as labelled in my invoice, and confirmed with Sinead that she would set this up in my own vases at the ceremony location onsite. However, she didn't bring the greenery or do this, and the vases were left empty, had my coordinator not noticed and stuck some grasses from the venue in them. 4. Id asked and shown photos of unstructured bouquets that would look good when laid flat on tables after the ceremony. As I didn't have much confidence in Sinead at this point and she didn't really seem to care, I went into the shop in person to show her what I meant and to pick a vase. But again, on the day, the bouquets looked nothing like this and didn't look good on the tables. On the day when she came to the venue and showed me my bouquet, she was, per usual, unpleasant and didn't even smile. I didn't say anything about how different the flowers looked as I didn't want to get caught up in a discussion with her on my wedding day. There had been so many mistakes to this point and she was usually very short and curt to deal with, I didn't have any confidence she would make it right or be kind. Ultimately, the shop itself is lovely and Siobhan seems genuinely kind and enthusiastic, but i would deter anyone from using them for an event. read more

This is a great flower shop. The flowers are fab with a great range from roses to the very exotic. A friend of mine bought me a beautiful pink rose from there when my mam passed away. I kept it on my desk in work and it really brought beauty and life into my office at a very difficult time. When the rose died I replaced it with another beautiful flower from Adonis. The staff were very informative, clear and honest with me about choosing more flowers. It's well worth a visit with great vases too! read more

I called Adonis Flower Designers from the States because I wanted to send my sister (who is currently temporarily residing in Dublin) a bouquet for her birthday. I was assisted by a very friendly & helpful woman named Kat. I could not be happier with the ease and promptness of the service I received. The bouquet was delivered by 10 a.m. so my sister could enjoy it for the entire work day & the arrangement was just absolutely gorgeous. I am so impressed by my experience. I really wanted to post my comments to strongly recommend this shop to anyone who has a need for floral services in the Dublin area. They truly are wonderful, trustworthy, and so customer-oriented. We have a daughter studying abroad in Ireland and we wanted to do something special for her birthday. After searching extensively for florists in Dublin, we stumbled upon the Adonis webpage and were quite captivated by their beautiful photographs. They were extremely prompt in responding to email communication and were very professional and personable. Their pricing is more than reasonable given that the flowers are high quality and the high degree of artistry that goes into the arrangement. We loved that this florist had the adaptability to do both traditional arrangements as well as arrangements with a modern flare. Delivery was prompt given that it was the day right after a banking holiday. If you are looking for a floral vendor that has high standards, you will not be disappointed in Adonis. read more

Very poor product - expensive for what they supplied. Extremely rude and dismissive when called to complain. It was my first and last time using them. Would highly recommend you look elsewhere for a florist that will supply more flower and less leaf! The bouquet consisted mostly of greenery. read more
