We entered into an adoption agreement with Family Creations Adoptions and trusted that the…read moresituation presented to us had been appropriately vetted. We were matched with an expectant mother and were told that proof of pregnancy had been obtained. Based on that representation, we paid the required fees and traveled to Florida in preparation for the birth. Over time, concerns began to arise. We were later informed by the agency that this situation involved a scam. Based on our experience, it does not appear that ongoing verification efforts were made throughout the month, such as obtaining updated medical records or independent confirmation from a provider. After this was brought to light, communication from the agency became extremely limited, and our requests for documentation and clarification regarding what verification steps were taken have not been fulfilled. We are currently working with law enforcement due to the financial impact and the interstate nature of this situation. We strongly encourage any prospective adoptive families to ask detailed questions about an agency's verification process, including how often medical confirmation is obtained and what safeguards are in place to prevent situations like this. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this agency and encourage others to proceed with caution.

We were connected with Family Creations through a consultant. Unfortunately, after 8 weeks our…read morefirst match was disrupted. During that time, Kiah was exceptionally kind and compassionate and walked with us through really hard days. A few months later, we were matched with our child through the Safe Haven program and family creations. We are so thankful for the safe haven program, as it provided a way for our birth mother to choose adoption and have the support that she needed from the staff at FC. Kirk was phenomenal during that time and made sure our son was safe and cared for until placement with us. Kiah worked diligently to get our paperwork completed to travel home, despite numerous challenges. We are so thankful for the staff at FC and the safe haven program, all of which brought our son into our lives! I have seen the care and compassion that they have for their birth mothers and we feel so confident that our sons birth mother will continue to have the support and care that she needs. We are so thankful for this agency!

STAY AWAY! From personal attacks to pushy sales... Our experience with Lifetime Adoptions was…read moreextremely disappointing and raised multiple red flags from the very first interaction. The representative we spoke with, Kim, came across as overly pushy and impersonal. The conversation felt scripted rather than genuine, which immediately made us uncomfortable. Despite mentioning that I was at work, she repeatedly insisted on having my camera on, which felt inappropriate and dismissive of my situation. Throughout the call, there was a strong assumption that we had already chosen Lifetime Adoptions, even though we clearly stated we were still exploring agencies to find the right fit. That boundary was repeatedly blown off and ignored, and the conversation continued as if our decision had already been made. When I had asked a question, she seemed insulted that I stopped her to ask a question. This is where another red flag was raised. I had asked about how many clients (waiting families) they had as compared to expecting mothers. The response avoided the question entirely. Instead of providing a clear answer, she focused on how many mothers contact the agency. For prospective adoptive parents making a significant financial commitment, transparency around placement likelihood of adopting a child and wait times is critical. The lack of a direct answer was concerning. The fact she got squirrely around this question, made it seem like Lifetime Adoptions is more about stacking up clients (and there cash) over placement turnarounds. We also asked about open versus closed adoptions. While I understand the agency may specialize in open adoptions, the response we received was dismissive of closed adoptions altogether. When I shared my own personal experience being adopted through a closed adoption, my perspective was completely disregarded and I was told I was "wrong." That felt deeply unprofessional and insensitive. Her dismissive behavior continued on. She went on to tell me that I was wrong and closed adoptions are wrong - completely ignoring my own lived expierence, thoughts, feelings, and reality. Her comments lead to that my own lived experiences being invalid and incorrect. Completely out of line. As the conversation continued, the tone became increasingly uncomfortable. Then to top it off, the blame was shifted onto us. When we raised legitimate concerns and questions, Kim didn't address them--instead, she outright blamed us, as if the red flags we were seeing were somehow our fault. This was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. Adoption is an emotional and significant journey, and we expected a level of empathy, transparency, and respect that simply was not present here for an alleged Christian organization. There is NOTHING Christian about them based off of this interaction. Based on our experience, we would strongly encourage others stay away and to do thorough research and proceed with caution. Don't spend a bunch of money up front because you will be financially stuck in a large pool of clients. Instead, look towards "as services are rendered" agencies first.

Fraud! Fraud! Fraud! Terrible company! I'm not sure how they have any good reviews since they have…read morea very low adoption rate. Please be aware they also have different company names. Do your research! They make you sign a contract with a $20,000 deposit (which is non refundable after 72 hours). They never call or reach out to you, unless asking for money of course. They state they are birth-parent driven which basically translates as "Adoptive parents get no support or encouragement." Their way of supporting you is insisting you listen to "required" webinars which are not only repetitive and annoying, but are really just to buy time. If you are not okay with gambling $40,000 (photo shoots, home studies, booklets, etc) please stay far, far away! Especially if you have any filters (ie baby girl/boy, ethnicity, etc). We are very blessed and grateful that we were able to expand our family due to our faith. It is our duty to make sure other adoptive parents are aware of what they are signing up for. If I can save just one family then I have done my job.

I'm extremely disappointed with this home study company. After submitting all the paperwork we…read morethought was required, we heard nothing from them. No updates, no follow up, no indication that anything was missing. Months went by in complete silence. The first time they reached out again was to inform us of more fees they wanted us to pay. That tells me exactly where their priorities are, and it's clearly not in helping families adopt or supporting children who need placement. This agency does not communicate, does not guide its clients, and does not show the level of care needed for something as serious as adoption. We are moving forward with a different agency that actually provides support instead of disappearing until there's money to be collected.

From the owner: Connecting Hearts Adoption Services is a licensed agency in the State of Florida…read more Our main focus is your domestic adoption home study. We know the home study can be an overwhelming experience for an adoptive family, but it doesn't have to be. Connecting hearts. Building families. It's what we do. So, what is a home study? The home study is the foundation and first step in any adoption. It is the process by which you become eligible to adopt and is a legal requirement. Regardless of where you live or where you plan to adopt, you'll need to complete a home study. Why choose us? We have been serving Florida's prospective adoptive families since 2008. Our client families select our service because we are experienced and professional while also making this personal. We do our best to make this process simple. We want our families to be successful. Because the adoption home study is our specialty and all we do, unlike a "full service" agency, your home study is our ONLY focus. We are able to complete most studies in less than 30 days. If you have an urgent situation, let us know. We can finish your study sooner if need be. Please call us at 407-733-8642 or email us at info@connectingheartsadoption.com with any questions you may have while navigating your home study.
