Because of the proximity to Turkey compared to America it was hard to choose the right one for the job. After walking up and down MacCurtain St a few times looking and speaking to a few pros I found Franco's was the right one. Nico, whom I think is the owner gave me a warm welcoming upon looking into his shop. The place was very clean and there not a lot of people, just a laid back barber shop with a very professional look and feel. He sat me in the chair and asked a few questions about how he could tailor my cut. Might I add that my premise for the Turkish barber was the straight razor shave. So, I included my need for a shave too. He then went to work on my mop of a head to and beard to make it a master piece. He took his time all the while we had a very interesting conversation. I would say that next time I'm back in Cork, I'll definitely be giving this barber shop a visit. They are very good at what they do and their precision is what they live by.

The fade is good but he cut the front so short that it just looks awful. It's about a cm in length in the front, as opposed to the back where it's about an inch, it makes no sense why he would cut it that short. +2 stars because the fade was good but -3 stars because overall it looks awful. I had heard of…read morethis gastric band hypnosis thing a while back - saw it on TV (I think it was on "Embarrassing Bodies"). I had been about four stone overweight and had struggled with my weight for quite a while. I went to see Paul about six months ago (middle of January 2012). I had my five sessions of hypnosis to convince my mind I have a gastric band. To be honest, when I started I wasn't really sure if would work, but I just trusted Paul - he's lost a load of weight with it too (I've seen the pictures to prove it!). It's now six months on and I have lost three stone and two pounds and I am so happy. Thanks Paul - you have changed my life!
