I really liked this salon from the start -- it has a very relaxed feeling. They are very accommodating with me, letting me stumble through making my appointments in German (that much I CAN handle) -- and they recommended Tim for me, since he speaks very good English.
Lucky for me, Tim is also a MASTER of his craft. I usually hate my haircuts for a week or so until things settle in a little, but not so with Tim -- I loved the cut immediately (both times I've visited). And I could not BELIEVE the amount of effort he put into my highlights, seriously 120 foils, highlighting in two different colors, almost highlighting hair-by-hair.
Prices are not the cheapest in Munich (but I am a firm believer in 'you get what you pay for') -- and for what it's worth, the price is about half of what I was paying in San Francisco.
There are a couple other cool things about this salon: 1) they are committed to natural products (minimizing harsh chemicals), 2) they have a couple of 'pay ahead' programs that can save you some money, i.e. pay one fee for as many haircuts as you want in a half-year period, or for four visits for color touchups (in any time period) 3) the 'default' is you blow-dry and style your hair yourself after your cut & color, so you can get a feel for things AND you'll know what it will actually LOOK LIKE when you style your hair at home (of course you can also arrange to have the stylist blow dry and style if you prefer that).
