The gorditas are so fresh and PACKED full, same for the tamales which is amazing and thy are very moist and flavorful. I really enjoy coming here when I need to get my taco cravings fed. They always have wonderful service. The women running the front and bringing out the orders are always kind and courteous. The atmosphere is very lively and festive, they either have music playing or something on the television. If you're waiting for it to go order, feel free to step next-door into the mini market and browse around and see what they have to offer. Random Mexican restaurant that we found last minute in Peter'sburg, VA. As soon as you enter you see the immediate Mexican decor all over. There was no one eating inside so we could pick anywhere to sit. There were about two men drinking beers in the back of the restaurant. This area appeared like it was a small bar area. They had no music playing but after we sat down, they began to play music. The menu was huge, I had a hard time picking and now I regret not ordering more to go. Everything was soo good! Adriana's Mini Market is such a remarkable restaurant located just minutes off I-95. Their flavors and service rival pretty much anything I've ever had. Every bite took my mind miles and miles away from the achey back and legs I had from the long drive up from Charleston. I ordered a chicken tamale, a steak gordita and a chorizo taco. They were honestly the best I can remember having over the last 10 years. This place is not too far from the base so I decided to try this place on lunch break. The service was pretty quick and everything came out hot and quick. I got the full steak and cheese quesadilla and horchata to drink. I'm usually not a quesadilla person but this one was good. There was plenty of steak and the cheese ratio was perfect. I have had horchata from another spot and this spot is hands down better for sure. They do have table service but you do have to pay your tab at the front and they do offer military discount. As much as I love their food, 2x in a row they decided to close early or stop selling food. I just drove 30mins to treat my daughter here because they said they were open... just for them to turn us away at the door saying they are closing early. Couple months ago I called and asked if they had soup, said yes... drove 20 mins again just for them to say they aren't serving food anymore. I've been a steady customer of this establishment since I moved to Fort Lee in 2017 and I've enjoyed the visits every time. The menu has a variety of dishes to try with specials offered on certain days, such as taco Tuesday, which offers 4 tacos for a fixed cheap price. The atmosphere is alright, nothing special. Plenty of parking and easy to access. Depending on the hour of the day, it can be packed or pretty empty, I would avoid it during lunch to avoid the high volume of customers. Each meal comes with home baked tortilla chips with dipping sauce, which is fairly good. Definitely one of the better home cooked, authentic restaurants I've been to. I came across this place while driving and IMMEDIATELY swerved across the road into the parking lot. Went inside and was greeted after a small wait. Place is decently sized with about 8 tables and a small bar area. Ordered a jarritos, 2 carne aside tacos and a side of rice and beans. Enjoyed the flavor, texture and taste of my tacos. Didn't love the red salsa, but the verde was nice. Rice & beans was standard fare. Wish they would shred their cheese but I understand why they don't. I'll be back to sample more of the menu soon!
