I am new to the area and have had three visits here. Each time I've felt very comfortable and welcomed. The office is cozy and clean and filled with polite attentive staff. Everyone is professional and easy going. I'm not one to feel uneasy in a dentist's office but if you are, rest assured you the will make you feel at ease. I recently changed my dental coverage and, unbeknownst to me, my last visit was not covered. After a short conversation we were able to agree on a reasonable arrangement to take care of my bill. Adriano Bottene, DDS was friendly and his hygienist was fantastic. He referred me for a root canal and it was actually a pleasant experience. Definitely would recommend him. Excellent! Great Dentist. Dr is a very nice guy too, staff very friendly, always a nice office to go to. Tv's are cool too. One of the few offices that you'll go to where you don't spend much time in the waiting room, a huge plus for busy people. They also have a text reminder of your appointment. read more

After 3 years, they've been great. The moment I walked in, I could tell I was a valued client despite just starting with them as a patient. Rosette treated me like a long time friend with her exquisitely friendly demeanor and talkative, spitfire personality. This is who I want to see every time I see the dentist. Thanks Rosette! -Debbie (hygenist): Wow!! What a caring professional! As she's a Giants fan, me and her hit it off well during my routine cleaning. What I appreciate about Debbie is her honesty. Any criticisms she gave me were appropriate and not condescending in the slightest. Not only that but she's accommodating to everyone's needs. -Dental Assistant (didn't get her name): Nice, knows what she's doing and a real sweetheart. -Dr. Bottene: I love this guy! He was made to be a dentist with that megawatt smile. Like Debbie, he's honest on your pros and cons in oral health. This guy won't sugar coat anything, plus he runs an efficient office so don't expect any heavy charges on services (on that note, he only recommends procedures if you absolutely need them). When three other dentist said to extract and do an implant for my broken tooth, Dr. Bottene said not so fast. I take care of my teeth and when one tooth broke in half biting on an olive pit, I wanted to do all possible to save it. Dr. Bottene made sure the roots are strong and there is "enough" tooth to create a crown. The results were excellent. Something else to point out from traditional dentist; no none sense waiting for hours and making you feel as if they are doing you a favor. Just when I thought we found a family doctor to rely on we get hit with an unexpected statement for two crown work. His office was great in first making sure you have insurance and then invite you in for an appointment. Making sure you show up and making sure your crown work was done beautifully, but neglect to tell you how much they will charge you and your insurance. The front desk lady tells me "Well sir, it is your responsibility to find out what your coverage is and all." My answer is yes I have no problem with my coverage and will pay the fee, but do have a problem when the charges are not disclosed ahead of time and how much I am paying for crowns. The mechanic will give you an estimate first and then asks for your business. No wonder we've had the worst health care system. We should name it Health Rip-off and Care system. read more

I am in the process of moving to the United States from a foreign country and before I had a chance to get medical/dental insurance I was met with an emergency when one of my molars broke in an awkward way. My neighbor recommended Dr. Bottene, who fitted me in his schedule the next day, examined my tooth and said I would need an implant. I told him I could not afford the treatment here without insurance and that I would be going back to my home country in a month's time -- Could I possibly get a temporary "fix" and then do the implant abroad? Dr. Bottene was totally understanding and accommodating, he carefully prepared my tooth to function temporarily without bringing me any discomfort and gave me a few instructions on what to look for in an implant. I have pledged to come back to his office once I am definitely settled in Walnut Creek, with medical/dental insurance and all. My experience at his office with him and his staff could not have been better. read more
