After rereading the contract again after getting home, I notice the ridiculously high interest rate. The initial loan was only 2500.00 but the full length of the contract interest rate , brought the total repayment amount to over 8000.00! The killer came when I was told that around 48 dollars of every payment would be applied towards the principal, while 600.00 plus would cover interest! I made steady payments until running into personal problems. After being not able to afford future payments, I filed for bankruptcy and contacted Loanmax to turn my vehicle in. They immediately told me that they were not in the business of automobile repossession! I asked them why in that case was there a lien placed against the vehicle in the first place. They placed me on hold and never came back to the phone. I contacted my lawyer about my experience and he demanded that they take the vehicle and stop harassing me. Six months went by without me hearing anything else from them. During that time the transmission went out in the parking lot of a major food chain who had the vehicle impounded. After attempting to call Loanmax, the repossession company told me that they had tried several times to contact Loanmax to take possession of the vehicle, with no success. Close to one year later Loanmax is still calling my family and friends harassing them and me. I warn others about the true intentions (High interest money) and conduct( constant harassment) of this company and to steer clear if at all possible of their greedy and unethical business practices!

Free is good, but, as we all know nothing is free and everything comes at a price. Scene 1: Here we are, my daughter and I enter and stand in line. We are greeted with a line, a woman who looks like she got up out of bed and came in to cash her check talking about some REALLY personal info on her cell phone with crust in her eyes, and only 2 workers working. 10 available windows. 2 on duty workers. Okay, moving on... Scene 2: 3rd guy in line has an annoying ring tone (y'all don't hear me - I said ANNOYING) of a song that made me stop listening to certain stations (because as Sagat sang "Funk Dat") "hearing the same 5 songs 15 times a day, for three months..." I mean seriously, you're in a place of (what looks like) business having your phone and text ringers going off all over the line like roaches after a nuclear explosion. Learn three words buddy: "Vibrate" and "Silent Mode" Scene 3: Another worker comes in and asks to be buzzed in. She gets to her station and yells, "anyone who only needs a money order? Money Order only?" The rolling of the eyes, and the sucking of the teeth begin and grow loud, I look around to see if anyone ahead of me moves. They don't. Let's hit it, I hop through the bars and approach the counter get my money order and we bounce. Climax: While waiting in line I observed my surroundings. So, I've got some suggestions. It looks like this place could have a lot going; money orders, sending/receiving money/check cashing/paying bills, etc. I'm wondering since I see these all over the place in a lot of cities if certain windows should handle certain business. * Sigh * I say to you Yelpers, I will NEVER run out of personal checks EVER again. The check was a personal one for $80, the name on the check is of course euro since my sister prefers "cream in her coffee". i got up earlier than usual so i went to pls. They not only wanted overinflate fees. I was told, "its a handwritten check where did u get this check?" I replied its not bad.The woman owns a spa, My sister gave it to me. No shit! I only came here to defer a waiting period at my bank. Im not stealing or robbing a bank. Why treat everyone one east washington like a criminial. When she went to a different window to with the check and called chase bank. Then she proceeded to call the lady on the check who happens to be my sister and rudely asking if she wrote the check to me. I know i look homey, but dang. I use to work before becoming disabled. I am a citizen. I did present a drivers license. I am beautiful and black. How can u treat me like this and then finally ask if i want any other service, from u hell no.
