I do most everything online and occassioanlly visit an ATM when I need cash. Recently, however, I needed to actually "go inside" and meet with a banker. I scheduled an appointment and showed up at the appointed time. The banker was expecting me and I didn't have to wait. I met with Heather Morris who was very professional and knowledgable. She handled my transaction very efficently and I was out in less than 30 minutes. Excellent service.

My latest call took place after receiving a security code that I didn't request. This means that somebody has used my login credentials. A very serious security concern. The PNC customer service rep told me to just ignore it. Dangerous! Another time I called about a transaction that I did not recognize (numbers didn't match up). I was told to contest the transaction. Fortunately, I didn't follow their advice because the transaction was a transfer to pay my PNC credit card bill. That information should have been obvious to them. If you think you will ever have to contact customer service, do not choose PNC.

Started process thru different bank and it was a nightmare!! Decided to give PNC a try - to move our regular checking and savings accounts to - as well as apply for HELOC thru them. We are SO SO GLAD we did!! Everyone at PNC has been pleasant and responsive - from opening accounts to working with a personal banker by the name of Brian on the HELOC (and Cody online). The employees are always very friendly and helpful. Sometimes it does get busy and appears that there are not enough people and it usually is settled pretty quickly. The one thing I did learn is that they no longer take your loose change and count it for you. They will provide the wrappers but you need to fill them. This bummed me out because that was such a handy feature to have. Forced me to buy my own coin counter. Look for the friendly smiles and the courteous welcomes and you know you've found the place to bank. It's awkward on how you enter here but once you know you utilize the same entry as Tim Horton's you've found your way!
