This is THE PLACE to go for windshield wiper blades. I looked online and planned to order online but the ones for my car were available in store so I decided to get them rather than wait for shipping. Glad I did since it turns out the blades were listed online as fitting my car but they didn't in reality as the awesome saleswoman let me know. She showed me the adapter for those blades won't work on my car even though they're listed as such online. She showed me the correct blades which saved me lot of frustration an extra trip back to the store and told me to come back for free instillation (I didn't drive the car that needed blades to the store) if I had trouble getting them on. Fortunately, I was able to install them but appreciated the offer. They're super helpful and knowledgeable here and I'll come back when I need anything for the car. read more

Horrible customer service. The supposed store clerk was surely and rude to me and the gentleman in front of me in line and barely able to communicate. She refused to lend the customer in front of me a battery saver to allow him to change the battery he had just purchased even though tool lending is a normal service offered by Advanced Auto. I had to remind her of that fact and only then did she reluctantly ask another employee to get the battery saver for him. She also insisted that I should go to the stocking shelves to get the battery that I had ordered. Apparently too lazy to get off her behind to help a customer. Store employees look like they are stunned or high or both and certainly don't seem capable of helping with car issues. I have been a customer of this store for over a decade but no more. Will take my business elsewhere. read more

This place blows. They don't stand by their products. When I told them a product I JUST bought from them doesn't work they told me it wasn't guaranteed and it was "trial and error". They wouldn't give me a refund or offer me a credit. Scumbags. I'll never come here again. read more

Just visited this location and want to give a shout out to Israel! Super helpful, friendly and professional. He initially did a diagnostic on my battery (purchased from AA) almost 2 years ago and it checked out fine. About a month later (today) I needed a jump after my sons bball practice. He happened to be there and remembered me and initiated the replacement. After this he installed the replacement battery for me in the dark. Excellent customer service. Bruce helped me today. He is truly about helping the customer; not just about finding the right part, but also the best deal or option that would help long-term. He definitely gave me options and gave me information so that I could make a decision that I felt comfortable with. He handled a back-up of customers that came up suddenly with courtesy and without making anyone feel rushed or that I was holding up the line while I made my decision. Overall a wonderful experience, and if I was still working as a retail manager, I'd recruit him in a heartbeat. But since I'm not, I'm just happy that he's there in case I need him again. Customer service is nonexistent here. Fausto took a call while we at his register. Put that call on hold and took another. Completed them both without acknowledging that we were even there with only 2 items. water and wiper fluid. I've ordered and paid for items online, but when I go to pick them up, they are never ready several hours after the transaction. Someone has to go and find the items on the shelf. It was pouring down rain - again - and one of my wipers broke. We popped in here, bought new wipers, and while we were waiting in line the nice gentleman at the register (I wish I had gotten his name), looked outside at the torrential downpour and said, "Want me to just help you with putting them on?" Hmmmm.... either we can mess around with it for 5-10 minutes in the pouring rain or have an expert help us and be done in 50 seconds? I'll take the latter, thanks. They sold me a battery, after I left an internal light on and needed to get it jump started. Told me the battery was leaking. They couldn't do a test on it, because of the weather, but they were sure that my 3-year old battery was dead. At 7 in the morning, I was too tired to use my brain and go somewhere else. I later learned that corrosion was normal. And that I could've gotten more time out of my battery, which had 14K miles on it. read more

Garbage! Ugh, I came here to ask about my battery and the guy was like I have to change it and buy a new one on the first day. Then I left t to charge overnight, and now it's still not working even though the guy today said it was just fine and when I asked him to test it he said there was no need but there clearly was. First, the positives: The customer service was amazing. Camilo was working his Sunday shift like a champion, helping everyone he could and working as fast as he could. (Seriously, give that man a raise!) The parts selection is also fantastic; no out-of-stock items that I could see (or needed). Second, the negatives: The management here is clearly dumb as bricks. It was a very busy Sunday afternoon, and Camilo was literally the only employee in the store. The guy was busting his rump to get everyone taken care of, but he's only one guy! The wait was excessive and could have been halved by simply scheduling two employees to work instead of being cheap and only scheduling one. This is why I sadly have to give this place 3 stars instead of 5. read more

I really want to use this local shop. Really I do but after a string of bad incidents and poor service I can not justify going to Advance Auto on Lee Highway. The three issues that formed my opinion follow. 1. In January I picked up new rotors and brake pads. Sold me the wrong rear rotors causing a return trip. Basic customer service here is to apologize and speed through the transaction. I think it took about 20 minutes to facilitate the return. 2. I went in to purchase body pins for a Nissan panel and upon inquiring if they had any additional in stock the employee said "just buy those if they don't work return them." A bit odd if you don't know say "I don't know, sorry - that's all we have." In this case I purchased them - totally didn't work. 3. Upon returning a battery that wouldn't hold a charge and was under warranty the staff member told me to leave the battery. Come back later in the day and if it didn't hold a charge they would send me out with a new warranty battery. I returned that evening to check. The battery had taken very little charge and they wanted me to come back in the AM. This ran counter to what I was previously told. In offering further explanation the gentleman who assisted me shrugged his shoulders. Offered to call his manager but returned with the same story. Ultimately it became a series of hoops to jump through that began to devalue to warranty that accompanied the battery. I wish I could say it's one issue with this place but after reading other reviews and hearing word of mouth complaints I get the sense this store does not value customers, their employees/ managers do not believe in customer service and if the job requires more than a minimal effort they will ignore the problem or make it your problem. read more

Really nice guys replaced my dead battery at 9pm one night when nothing else was open. While I was in there, they helped out several other customers with small issues - windshield wipers, lights, etc. And you could tell they actually enjoyed what they were doing and were having fun. The only thing that keeps this short of a five star review is that they told me I had a weak alternator and needed to replace it soon. My mechanic charged me a half an hour of labor to tell me that they were wrong and my alternator is fine. So that was unfortunate. read more

I have zero knowledge of cars. Anytime it remotely sounds weird, I call my father immediately. The other day it just wouldn't start, so my dad gave me a jump and we drove here to test the battery and get a new one. They were awesome!! We were helped by Chaka, who gave us the inside scoop on ordering online to use a 25% new customer discount, and then installed it for us in about 15 minutes. I have been impressed with the Arlington Advanced Auto store on a number of occasions. -Not all women dread dealing with their car, but I do, and most women aren't treated very well by people in the auto industry. -But when I've called them to ask if they had the parts I needed, they were respectful, knowledgeable and patient -- and in both instances, they had the parts! Today, I called in advance, spoke to a Barkley, and ended up seeing him when I went in person. As he was on the phone, he was helpful and respectful, and took extra time to help me. It's this kind of "attitude of service" that will make me a loyal customer and word-of-mouth referral for the store, which will hopefully get them even more business. Jordan is awesome. After roadside assistance got me jumpstarted last night, they advised that I hustle down the road to try to get to Advance before they closed, for a new battery. I arrived with not much more than 15 minutes before closing, and in that time (and the RAIN) Jordan had checked my existing battery for the correct type, rung me up, and then removed & replaced my battery, all in time to close by 9, and with a helpful, friendly smile!!
