Turns out it was just the battery, which they once again were honest and helpful with choosing the best option for me. Special recognition to Julz, who helped me change the battery, which is especially difficult on a Chevy Impala. He did it in about 15 mnts., when the usual time it takes is 30-45 mnts. He also sprayed some non-corrosive spray, and threw in some new post covers for me. Very helpful, saved me a LOT of time and headache.

When i finally got it back over there two employees gave me the runaround and ten million excuses why they couldn't give me the right size battery and replace the bolt. Had to have the car towed from their parking lot to the dealership for what in reality was an $8 ten-minute repair. I will never visit another Autozone store in my life. If i could give them zero stars i would. Go to the Advance Auto across the street. Bad staff, bad management across the board here. Already left a message with corporate's customer service line about the unhelpful staff and the damage they did to my car and pretended to be too stupid to fix. They should pay for the repairs i now need that i didn't need before i made the foolish decision to stop there for a new battery.

And was also a surprise to the little red head assistant standing on the other end of the counter. Anyway. I left there and came to auto zone I asked Shane the manager if he could test my battery and without hesitation came out and ran the check not only on the battery but alternator as well.
