Well surprise auto parts stores open at 7:30 not the 7:00 I thought after checking website. Upon further inspection the site for both O'Reilly and Advanced across the street advertise open at 7:00. Oh well, ran to nearby McDonalds to grab a bite for starving Lil Pug while we kill 30 minutes (that got a review also) until they can open at 7:30. Returned to O'Reilly's a few minutes before 7:30 and the open sign was on. We wandered in and were immediately greeted by Gerald and Jerry, apparently morning people. While Jerry looked up my pads Gerald (I hope I got the names right) helped us look for a vanity mirror, they didn't have one in stock but it is a side purchase so no sweat. Gerald helped with the final ring up and since the ceramic pads I wanted were not in stock, he offered me a couple of options; he could get them in by 10:30, told me two near locations that had them in stock nearby, and when I elected to get the cheaper organic pads, offered to swap them out if I installed them and Mrs Pugterrier wasn't happy. Now THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE. What more could I have possible asked of him? The entire time we were there he kept us engaged in conversation and was enjoyable to work with (keep in mind it's 7:30 am and Lil Pug is out of bed, and I am looking forward to driveway auto repair and trying to beat rain). As we left to get in the car Lil Pug made the comment "the Manager sure was nice, does he know you?" I had to let her know I did not know him personally but have always had a nice visit there. It's not a vacation destination, but if you need auto parts I would certainly recommend a visit to O'Reilly's on DIP.

I didn't even notice it until I pulled up in my driveway and only one side of the back of my son's Jeep was lit up from my headlights. I knew I had get that fixed ASAP. So, we called O'Reilly and they told us that they sell the headlights, and they will also install it if they aren't busy and the weather isn't bad. Awesome! Sure enough, we went and bought a set of two (in case the other blows out) and the girl checking us out also sold us a tiny packet of grease, which keeps the moisture out and helps with the connection. We sure wouldn't have know we needed that. We paid our $34 and walked out and she put the new light in for us. Easy peasy! If I need anything minor like that in the future, I will definitely return to O'Reilly's.

A little rude over the phone which is why I didn't give 5 stars but that's just my opinion. I think customer service is a big deal. But they're nice and professional in person. They should hire a woman or two. There's only guys standing around but I guess it's to be expected at an automotive junk yard. They seem to have a good computer system of looking up the parts you need and providing a price. I heard from my mechanic friend that this is one the largest automotive junk yards in Mobile with a wider selection of newer car parts but that means they might be a little pricier than competitors. I was looking for something for my 2004 RX 330 Lexus but they didn't have any parts to my car in stock so that was a fail. But the place is clean and easy to find. I returned to pick up something for my brother's Honda Accord. They have a return policy of one week with receipt and a 20% restocking fee if it's returned after a week. I called ahead to request it and they gave me the price plus tax. When I got here. It only took them less than 5 minutes to get the part and complete the transaction.

So a big truck repair shop has no trailer parking. Ward then says "Ryder is next door you could go talk to them about leaving your trailer with them"..... So I ask is this a deal you have with your neighbor? They reply "no but they have more room than we do". Really?!?! So you claim to be a big rig repair shop but you want us towed in off the road with out a trailer?? So unless you drive a pickup without a trailer.... AVOID THIS PLACE!
