He has had several back surgeries, inserting rods and screws, with excellent results. Our office experience, however, is another story. It just takes so long for them to schedule tests, then to get results from tests, then follow-up procedure scheduling. We have called the office, left messages with no response. Meanwhile, my husband is in pain, can't do anything and we wait, and we wait and we wait and nothing from them; nothing but promises that someone will call us tomorrow or the next day or the next and that doesn't happen. So, add frustration to the pain and anger begins to build. All the staff is very nice and friendly, but there's a breakdown somewhere and something has to be done.

If you call to make an appointment, the nice ladies who answer the phone get all of your information, then, in a by the way manner, proceed to tell you he doesn't accept insurance. So, you cancel the appointment and think, no problem, I'll find another doctor. End of story. NOT the end of the story! Mark Rabito, the CEO, as he calls himself, will soon call you to try to convince you that Dr. Thomas is the best you will find, and no other doctor will be as good. He proceeds to ask if you found another doctor, and then says, well, Dr. Soandso doesn't have the training that Dr. Thomas has, and really can't help you like Dr. Thomas can. He's almost to the point of being a bully and very unprofessional, talking bad about other doctors. I guess he needs to convince you to see the doctor so he can make more money, also. I totally understand that doctors have to provide discounts to insurance providers. I understand they may only make a percentage of what they make from insurance, however, I think doctors, in general, make a better living than those of us who are nurses or paralegals. Not accepting insurance is only selfish. I'd rather live with back pain than see someone who only cares about the bottom line, because I would think a doctor would treat you, no matter how you paid him, if he cared about YOU!

We informed Guillot we suspected she had swimmers ear on top of the reason for the visit. When he jammed the otoscope into my kid's ear so hard it hurt them so bad they were scared to death of him. He stormed out the room giving us a total of 5 minutes of Doctor time. He said he couldn't deal with it and left. It turns out my baby was losing their hearing and is now profoundly hard of hearing. She will never regain the hearing. If it was auto immune an injection of steroids could have saved some of it. Word through the grapevine is that he had a surgery that did not go well that morning so he took it out on patients. A true professional.
