First visit was OK, but I thought it was odd that she never even looked at my feet, but just took the orthotics. A month later, they were ready and I went to get them. Receptionist greeted me with, "You owe us $175 for the orthotics." I said, I'll pay when I know they are correct. I went into the examination room and the receptionist followed me in to ask for the money again! The orthotics were not done correctly, so I asked the doctor to send them back. I was billed for the visit. I did call and was told I didn't need to pay the co-pay, but my insurance did pay for absolutely nothing. Two months later, they were still wrong. I had to call to find this out. I was told by the receptionist that she was no longer working with the people who made the orthotics and to pick my now ruined pair up. No fixing the orthotics with another company. Nope. I even emailed her from their website but got no response. I thought that maybe she would find another company. So, after three months, I picked up a ruined pair of orthotics. (New ones cost around $500.) No apologies from either her or the staff. What a s**t way to run a practice. Do NOT recommend.

I had an issue with a painful ingrown toenail on my left big toe that sprung up after I went hiking…read moreand hit my foot on a rock... when I cut the nail piece off, I must've but it at a bad angle/too short, and it started hurting a few days after and looked a bit swollen infected. I managed to cure it mostly by myself by using rubbing alcohol and an off-the counter antibiotic ointment w/ pain relief thankfully, so I was thinking of cancelling the appointment, but went anyway since I figured it couldn't hurt to get it checked by a professional and avoid having to cancel last minute. Dr. Coen was very attentive and proceeded to take a look and ended up cleaning off some of the remaining pus and cutting the excess skin/nail off so that it would not bother me and completely heal. It was such a simple procedure that he didn't bother to ask for a co-pay/bill my insurance, even though I asked if there was a co-pay. That alone just made me post such a positive review... it's hard to find doctors that are so dedicated to help their patients. Thank you Dr. Coen. :)
