I…read morecame to Dr. Frederick for a 3rd opinion for a surgery and I left the appointment feeling ready to move forward with the surgery. This was something I was putting off for 2 years due to it not being urgent and fear of having surgery but Dr. Frederick explained the procedure in detail and answered all of my questions which made me feel comfortable compared to the other 2 doctors I met with prior. I had a wonderful first time surgery experience with Dr. Frederick and the rest of my care team from North Fulton Outpatient Surgery center. I knew I was in good hands with Dr. Frederick and that he would take good care of me and he did just that. My husband & sister were very impressed with Dr. Frederick as well as he took the time to explain the procedure to them the day of and answered all of their questions. He also called my husband immediately after the surgery to give him an update on how everything went which my husband very much appreciated as he was worried himself in the waiting room. Over the past 2 months I have recommended two of my coworkers to this practice for regular GYN care and first time OB care and they both had great experiences with the nurse practitioners that they saw. One of my coworkers even recommended her sister who came back with great reviews as well. Dr. Frederick hires the best doctors, midwives & nurse practitioners so whoever you see here you will be in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Frederick and his team for any and all OB-GYN services that you may need. They have two office locations: Roswell & Johns Creek and delivery at North Fulton Hospital & Emory Johns Creek hospital.

One Star: My Experience With Dr. Hugan Frederick…read more I am writing this review years later, now pregnant with my third and working in pregnancy and pediatric healthcare myself, because I finally have the clarity and strength to speak on my experience with Dr. Hugan Frederick in October 2021. What happened during my care left a lasting impact on me as a first-time mother, and it is something I would want any expecting patient to know before choosing their provider. During my pregnancy, I was routed to Emory Johns Creek Hospital due to unexplained bleeding at 36 weeks. While the hospital itself had its own issues, my interactions with Dr. Frederick were what ultimately left me feeling unseen, unsupported, and dismissed during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life. When I called the office crying because a high-risk doctor at the hospital informed me, without any discussion or consent, that a C-section had already been scheduled for me, Dr. Frederick eventually came to speak with me. Instead of reassurance or guidance, he told me that he "had somewhere to be." That statement set the tone for the rest of my labor and delivery. During labor, I was offered an epidural repeatedly after declining several times, which made me feel pressured rather than supported. When it was time to push, Dr. Frederick stood several feet back, leaning against the wall, checking his watch far more than he checked on me. There was no coaching, no encouragement, and no genuine presence. It felt like I was an inconvenience and he was simply waiting for the clock to run out. What made the situation worse is that I later found out someone from the practice had documented that they spent 30 to 45 minutes speaking with me, something that never happened. As a patient, it is incredibly unsettling to discover that documentation in your medical record does not reflect reality. I understand now, with more birth experience and medical training behind me, that birth can be unpredictable and complicated, and that outcomes vary. But what I experienced with Dr. Frederick was not a matter of medical unpredictability. It was a matter of care that felt cold, inattentive, and disengaged. During labor and delivery, a patient needs advocacy, communication, and compassion, and in my experience, those things were not present. As a healthcare provider today, I know how deeply vulnerable pregnancy and birth can be, and how crucial it is for patients to feel safe, heard, and supported. I would not recommend Dr. Frederick to anyone seeking that level of care during such an important time. I sincerely hope his patient care has changed since 2021, but based on my own experience, I cannot in good faith recommend him as a provider.

I had "inherited" Dr. Taylor via a previous obgyn that had left her practice who was an amazing…read moreperson and doctor. I moved over to Dr. Taylor and saw her for my annual appts. I am aware that she moved her office but had not been to the new one until today. My GPS was not providing correct driving instructions and kept driving me in circles; literally. Exhausted, I called the office and told the person who answered the phone that I could not find their location. I was very frustrated, upset, and was at that point late for my appt. The girl who answered the phone told me to calm down. Yes. She. Did. I replied that "No, I won't calm down" and you should not be telling me to calm down! At this point I was frustrated with her lack of effort to help me, but also bewildered at her lack of understanding. She then hung up on me. Yep..she did. I arrived at the office of my own efforts and walked up to the front desk. Dr. Taylor came out at that moment (assumed that the desk person informed her of our interaction in advance) and I asked "Who was the person who just hung up on me?" The person closest to the phone said it was her. I asked her why did you do that? and she replied 'You were cursing me out!" I told her that I DID NOT SAY 1 CURSE WORD TO HER. "I was frustrated because I could not find the office!" She then said "It was your tone" "Oh, so I didn't curse you out?" Dr. Taylor then said "You need to calm down". I said No, I do not need to calm down! "She is a liar." I then told Dr. Taylor that I had trouble finding the office and she said "No one else has had trouble findIng it". REALLY? I don't care about anybody else, I care about me finding it! So should you! It was obvious that Dr. Taylor believed this person that I was cursing her employee out and that I should not be upset that I drove around for 20 mins in circles not being able to find her location. SMH The bottom line is this: Dr. Taylor has made comments to me about my health choices and I'll just say that she was menacing and manipulative. Secondly, this person who answered the phone is in a customer facing role, and should not be in this role. She has no business answering the phones if she can't handle stressful situations/clients. I have had helpful, supportive interactions there from others at the front desk, nurses, etc. in the past but today was the worst. Lastly, this person LIED and said that I had cursed her out. Uhm, No, I did not. It appears she is trying to justify hanging up on me. I am no longer a patient here and have known that I needed to find a new gynecologist for quite some time. Take away: If this desk person would lie about the nature of our conversation, what else would she lie about? Don't expose yourself to this unprofessional practice. Not all of the girls behind the desk are contributors to the chaos. Just this Doctor (who apparently defended her behavior) and one of the girls up front. If you go here, it's just a matter of time before you too experience some of this. You have been warned.

When I began…read moreexperiencing issues days after an invasive surgery the office staff gave me a hard time about requesting to be seen in person prior to a six week follow up visit. They were rude and argumentative even after I thoroughly explained what had been happening with my body. This happened not once but twice. The second time was in front of my primary doctor who called to try to get me seen after I explained what had been happening. By this time I had even been in the ER in which Dr. De did not come to see me there while at the hospital and I was still given a difficult time to be seen in person. When I was able to be seen by Dr. De she was not familiar with my chart which was evident by the questions that she asked. She even gave contradicting information from what she had previously said on a televisit call about a procedure performed during surgery. Even on the six week follow up visit, I expressed concerns about what I was continuing to experience. The symptoms progressed even after a test was ordered but I received no direction or guidance on what I could be experiencing and how to manage it. I had to send multiple messages in the portal before she would even address the issue. It was a stressful and terrible experience with FPWCG and I do not recommend Dr. De to anyone after everything that I have endured which is far beyond what is included in this review.

Dr. Hawkins is wonderful. About a year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with a large fibroid…read more(squishing my bladder and causing other issues) and the recommendation was to get a hysterectomy. I talked to four different surgeons and, as expected, had a range of responses (everything from minimally invasive robotic surgery that Dr. Hawkins was able to perform, to a full vertical cut that would likely take 8+ weeks to recover from.) Dr. Hawkins was able to do the minimally invasive surgery (and I'm recovering really well!) Beyond that, she was so incredibly kind, reassuring, and helpful. I had some specific fears around a procedure that was required for insurance that she helped me through. She also gave really good, solid information and was quick to reply to questions on the portal. Surgery was better than I expected, despite the fact that she found a few extra issues (and took the time to deal with them for me during surgery - e.g., endometriosis). My primary doctor went through the surgery report with me and pointed out the things she did that, to him, indicated the quality of the surgery/surgeon. I also found her staff to be really helpful in getting through all of the steps that led up to the surgery. They've documented everything and send you the PDF beforehand. It's a little overwhelming/confusing, but they also send a few reminders leading up to the surgery to make sure you're on track. I was a little overwhelmed leading up to the surgery, but glad for the extensive written directions about what to expect and referred back to the document a LOT (I still have it open on my computer, to check out the post-op directions from time to time). In the end, I'm really glad that I took the time to talk with several doctors and glad that I found Dr. Hawkins. I very much appreciated her kindness, ability to help me through a difficult/stressful procedure, quick responses, and her surgical skill. Highly recommend talking to her if you're in a similar position!
