In May 2019, I ordered a hair system from the Studio Manager Ernest, in Surry Hills, Sydney at a cost of $2,800.
In Dec 2019, I returned the system as it was faulty and hair was falling out of it. The hair unit was then sent away for repair.
On 1 Jul 2020 the repaired system was returned and refitted at the studio by the Stylist Jo.
On 3 Jul 2020 I removed the system to note that the system was still faulty and in a worse condition than when it was sent off for repair. I immediately, photographed the system, called the Studio Manager and emailed photographic evidence of the hair unit which was frayed on the edges and hair was knotted and falling out (as per the attached images).
After multiple emails regarding the issues and with little, to no response, I received a response from Chris Attrill (Client Relations) advising "we have reviewed the system and we wish to advise that the condition of the Living Lace Front is a reflection on the manner and time-frame in which the system has been worn" . . . "after our review the system is not showing any signs of the hair loss that you have described previously." As per the attached photo, this statement is completely incorrect, unethical and an obvious attempt to limit liability after I had previously asked for a refund as a last resort after having had no response to previous emails by the Studio Manager.
That said, I have been a client of Advanced Hair for over 16 years, and I am more than qualified to comment on the issues of the system which they didn't even bother to check. I'm more surprised that the Stylist who fitted the system thought that the quality of the "repair" was good enough to fit to a client (the photos don't lie). I have now gone to a competitor and am more than happy with them which, after 16 years with Advanced Hair is such a shame to see the quality and service of their product in such a steady decline. This matter is now pending legal proceedings. It's not about the money anymore. read more
