I've been to Advanced Massage several times and seen a variety of their therapists. The clinic is a relaxing airy environment with a very warm atmosphere. I like that they specialize in pain treatment and that they work to solve my problem rather than just give a fluff massage. I got into a car accident months ago that I'd nearly forgotten about and the therapist could tell be just be working on my that I'd been in one and was able to break down the scar tissue I didn't even realise I had. I was also suffering from an inexplicable pain and numbness in my hand and arm and after one session of cupping (painful but very well worth the result) the problem was completely gone! The therapists are friendly, but don't chat your ear off unless it's about your treatment and are very willing to refer to each other based on specializations each therapist may have. All the therapists there are skilled and there is a choice of seven or eight therapists! Each of them very good at deep tissue and some even specializing in other things as well such as aforementioned cupping and even acupuncture. There are other businesses running out of the same building however, they are kept very separate and unless you inquire about those additional services nothing is pitched to you, and aside from an ad in the window you wouldn't even be aware they are there. I've tried their deep tissue, their laser treatment, their hot stone, and cupping and enjoyed all of them thoroughly and had great results, though this is not a spa environment they are willing to accommodate your requests within reason but do not specialize in relaxation. The prices are comparable and relatively affordable to most other clinics in Winnipeg and the staff is very knowledgeable in their field. Advanced Massage Therapy was very warm and welcoming from the minute I walked through the door. The staff were very friendly, and the front receptionist was very helpful, and made me feel very relaxed. The office is done very nicely, and it is very clean. I met with a Therapist who took the time to listen to my complaints, and she told me what she would do to help me get better. I felt the communication was great, and she listened to what it is I had to say. The massage was really done well, I could feel that the therapist knew and had confidence in what she was doing. As per the other review, I was expecting to see a tip button, but there was none. I asked if I should tip, and the response was " the best tip we can have is the referral of a friend " So here I am, and I would recommend Advanced Massage to you!! read more

Melissa Heaman is the best deep tissue massage therapist in Winnipeg. I have never felt compelled to review anything or anyone, until today. I went to see her for a recurring injury and her knowledge and approach led me to the fastest recovery so far. So on my last visit I decided to get a back massage and her massage was so powerful that she actually cracked 2 ribs back into place by simply massaging my back. let me add here that I am 6 foot tall, 300lbs and have a barreling chest. I have spent thousands of dollars on massages and it was not until today that I understood what people mean when they say that they left a massage felling like a jelly fish. My only regret is that I will be moving to Vancouver in the spring and I will have to start my search all over again. Melissa is a true hidden gem. read more

Upon reading the other review, I would have to say that I agree with the comments about being clean, and felt that the staff were very attentive to me from the time that I walked in the door. I did not however hear any noises during my massage and felt that the walls were not that thin. I asked for a deep tissue massage for my back pain, and that is exactly what I got. There was no idle chit chat ( I hate that during my massage ) and yes they got down to buisness. It was a very very affective treatment. I used my insurance, they billed it for me. When I went to pay there was NO tip option on the debit machine. I would recommend this place to everyone who likes a good thorough massage. read more

My first and only visit to Advance was July 2013. The RMT was okay. She was new to the profession, but tried hard. The receptionist wasnt the most friendly and made me wait quite a while before she handed me the intake form. The reception area was really hot and smelled of aromatherapy. The massage room was a bit tacky, but it appeared dark and relaxing. The only problem was it was bloody hot. The RMT told me that the air conditioning was broken, It was brutally hot. It was so uncomfortable. I probably will not try Advance again. There are too many good therapists and clinics in Winnipeg to choose from. read more

I just want to thank Advanced Massage for there professionalism, and there skills. I have been to many clinics, that don't listen to what I have to say about what I expect in my treatment. I pay allot of money to get Massage, and I feel let down, when my issues are not met, or my voice in not heard. At Advanced Massage the therapists listen to me, and have never failed me yet. I feel great after my appointments, and I feel that I have finally found a place that strives to give you what you have paid for. This is few and far between these day's.
