The entire staff provides knowledgeable care, working with patients to find out how to make them stronger and fully rehabilitated. They had a very convenient schedule, which I took full advantage of, with some morning appts and some afternoon. Make sure you know your insurance well and all monies that are covered…read more my 29 year old daughter went to see them .. with back pain. they said don't worry your insurance will cover most of it.. call your insurance company to make sure what they'll cover. after 3 visits she felt worse . she stopped going and they immediately billed her for $250 for 3 visit's but while she was still going they kept telling her it won't be much.. This was her first time with her own insurance and not being on our insurance.. we didn't believe she received appropriate care and they office staff obviously was trying to extend what she owed not billing to keep her coming so she would owe more.. then they billed and billed .. then took it to small claims court added a bunch more charges and court costs. Well I looked them up on the courts docket and they had quite a lot of people they were suing . This is a money grabbing technique .. BE AWARE THE $250 she owed now they're saying is $450 with court costs and if you don't pay the judge will garnish her wages! They have their own bill collector Shiela they don't send it to collections because they would lose that money... Reconsider going to this office seek out an honest chiropractor.

I used the Doctors of Physical Therapy (DPT) location at 1235 S Center Rd in Burton, MI, from late…read moreFebruary until April 2018. My experience with them has not been good. This was my first experience with any physical therapy so I wasn't sure at first, but I just didn't feel I was progressing as much as I should have been. After those few weeks there, I left them and went to a new physical therapy facility, where I learned just how unhelpful DPT's work with me had been. I thought that was the end of my dealings with them. However, they recently (May 2019), sent me a bill stating I still owe them $443! I had not heard a word from them since I made what they said was my last copay payment in June 2018. By that time, I'd paid them a total of $570, which they told me covered all of my copayments and co-insurance. Since receiving this new bill, I've spent quite a bit of time on the phone with my insurance company and DPT's billing department at their main office in Illinois. They even wound up talking with each other while I was on the line. The final verdict is that the physical therapist I saw at DPT was not in my insurance's network until October 2018 - my last appt with her was 6 months before that in April 2018!! So what DPT had been telling me were copays were just their full prices, from what I understand. My insurance company told me they did not cover them, despite the fact that I was told by DPT the entire time I was their patient that my insurance was covering my visits - and even made to wait for appts "until further insurance authorizations" came through a couple of times. I feel completely lied to and swindled by this place. My advice: STAY AWAY!!! Go to a physical therapist who won't lie to get extra money out of you, while not correctly treating your problems. According to their billing department, I do owe this $443, it just "took them several months to figure it out." My options are to pay it or have it sent to collections...where it will show up against me on my credit report, which I've worked hard to bring up these past few years. Based on my experience with this company, I truly consider them to be cheats who take advantage of patients with little knowledge about physical therapy and billing with the insurance. This has been a very expensive lesson for me to learn to be less naive and trusting of what a medical facility says. From now on I'll know to double check with my insurance company every step of the way for any medical treatments.
