Except for an allergic reaction to an antibiotic-- which they quickly responded to-- I had a speedy recovery. Post surgery PT started soon after. I followed post op instructions of lifting and twisting restrictions. Thankfully after 9 months out I'm back to daily long walks, pickleball, weight training and lifting grandchildren pain free. The office, including Pat!, were easy to work with and very accommodating when setting appointments. I'm glad to have completed the process so I can enjoy an active life without daily nerve pain.

The total hands-on treatment time was extremely limited. I was placed on a heat pad for approximately 10-15 minutes, briefly instructed to perform a few movements, and then most of the remaining time was spent printing exercise sheets. There was minimal direct supervision, minimal therapeutic engagement, and little professional attention devoted to my condition. In addition, my appointment began 20-30 minutes late. After being taken to the room, I waited again without assistance for approximately 10 minutes. This reflects poor time management and lack of organization. For comparison, I previously underwent shoulder rehabilitation at California Rehabilitation for six months. Their sessions were structured, focused, and typically lasted 40-45 minutes with active therapeutic involvement. Yesterday's session did not meet that standard in any measurable way. Given the limited session time, lack of therapeutic concentration, and overall inefficiency, I do not believe continuing treatment at your facility is appropriate. Please cancel all of my upcoming appointments immediately. I would also like the General Manager to contact me directly regarding this matter. I believe there are clear concerns about quality of care, professionalism, and staff training that need to be addressed. I expect confirmation of cancellation and a follow-up call at your earliest convenience.

Was super rushed, asked questions and interrupted both my husband and myself when we provided answers. He disregarded other doctor's diagnoses and dismissed my pain complaints. He only looked at my scans and provided a diagnosis. When my husband said that was unsatisfying, I also said that it seemed inappropriate to diagnose without any physical exam. He then did a perfunctory physical exam with no gloves, no hand wash, no hand sanitizer. I literally cried through the physical exam the. He told me that things that had helped in the past (injection) were not actually helpful. His poor bedside manner, poor interpersonal skills, and terrible time management made this the worst doctor I have seen in over 40 years. At the end of my appointment my husband said he wouldn't have believed how bad this doctor was unless he witnessed it himself and that we would never let him anywhere near my spine ever again.

Over the phone they confirmed how they received my X-rays. I thanked them and hung up. That was on a Monday morning. My appointment is scheduled the same week on Wednesday afternoon. This unprofessional Drs office called me 6 hours before my appointment and canceled it; gave a vague explanation as to why they can't see me; gave me the number of who can see me and hung up. Now I get to scramble to find a new Dr to treat my broken bone. They assume people don't have lives and they love calling around for help when they have a broken bone. I don't mind having to go elsewhere, I appreciate the importance of a specialist over a general practitioner. However, they had Monday and all day Tuesday to inform me they can't help me. They chose to call the morning of the scheduled appointment and cancel. That's beyond disrespectful and inconsiderate. Now I will be making sure to tell people not to go to them if possible. There's no reason for anyone to be treated like they're just a number rather than a person who needs help.

Sports people with an injury don't want to have any limitations after treatment, so that was the best sign that Dr. Labovitch was the orthopedic surgeon for me. The technician that did the X Ray was a young woman who did not give me a lead protection cover for my body. I asked her if I needed one and she said "No, you used to need one, but these days the machines are more advanced". But I chose to ask for one anyway. I just wanted to post this review because I don't think what I was told was correct. So the office manager should make sure their staff is protecting their patients during every X Ray. This is why I gave only a 2 Star rating. But they are good and Dr Labovitch is knowledgeable and nice.

I have been a patient of Advanced Physical Therapy off and on for three years. I have predominantly seen Justin Fesler and have always received excellent care! The office staff were always so pleasant and I never felt like I was just another patient. Everyone, especially the therapists were always very attentive to my well being as a whole and not just the injury or issue I was being seen for. I have had knee issues ongoing since highschool as a result of an injury and have periodically received physical therapy at various facilities when the pain is aggravated to a point where walking and climbing stairs becomes continually painful. I had such a flare up 3 years ago when I was first seen by Justin. Immediately I realized that the treatment I would receive this time would be far different that what I received historically at other facilities. Instead of a predominantly exercised base treatment plan Justin combined exercise along with other techniques; ART (Active Release Techniques) and Strain Counter Strain that greatly reduced my pain almost immediately! For the first time someone actually explained to me in layman terms what was wrong with my knee and what I could do to proactively keep it healthy. I was amazed at how quickly I completed my course of physical therapy. In the past I would continue with treatment for several months with my pain never completely resolved. This time I was symptom free in just 2 months!! I remained symptom free for more than 2 years by following the stretching and exercise guidelines Justin gave me when I was discharged!! I was recently involved in a car accident and suffered a jolt to my right knee and whiplash to my neck and shoulder. I once again returned of course to Justin for treatment. The whiplash was resolved in just a few treatments and my knee is currently well on its way to being symptom free once again. I am comforted by the fact that no matter what ailments my body decides to throw at me as I age I have a fantastic physical therapist to go to for treatment. Advanced Physical Therapy of Mission Viejo is most probably beyond any expectation I had in relief for my pain. Over the years various physicians have sent me to physical therapists for a number of ailments. For approximately 14 years I had increasingly more pain and problems with a lower lumbar medical condition. I was given choices of surgery, injections and physical therapy. I started with the injections which gave me almost immediate relief, but along with the injections I needed to also get therapy and learn to help myself with this ongoing problem. Dr. M. referred me to Advanced Physical Therapy to continue my treatment. To use the word "miracle" is just about what it has been for me and my pain. I never ever thought there was real help for my ongoing pain. Almost every movement brought pain. It took a while but i found out that surgery is not the only option for back pain/problems. Give Advanced PT a chance to prove you can feel better! Justin Fesler is on the cutting edge of the practice of physical therapy! He has made it possible for me do those every day things without pain. He teaches a person what to do at home to help themselves with their problem. I feel improvement with just about every treatment. If medical equipment is needed he will suggest it and Diane will lead you through the process of obtaining it. Through all of these steps I can daily have relief from my pain. From the moment you walk into the office, you are greeted with kindness by Diane, given help with billing, etc., by Lorie, assisted by Sean, Brook and Chris, and anyone else on staff to assist in your treatment! You get the feeling that you are important to everyone there. I went to Advanced Physical Therapy for a pinched nerve causing leg pain due to Spinal Stenosis. They did a thorough examination resulting in a diagnosis and program for helping with my pain. The people there are all expert professionals from the man who supervises my exercises, to the woman who administers the TENS machine and the ultrasound, to the man who manipulates my body to strengthen the muscles which can relieve my pain.My problem is difficult to solve but I have seen some improvement and lessening of the pain. I have had knee trouble for many years, even surgery didn't help. Paul did. He worked on my knee, gave me exercises and showed me how to tape it. Had I visited Paul prior to my surgery I believe I could have avoid my operation altogether. Not only that, but for years I have been wearing a shoe lift because my hips were not even, now I no longer need my lift! Paul has taken away my pain and increased my functionality. I worked with a couple of the therapists and they all worked to get me better. I was very disappointed with my experience with Dr. Patel. My biggest concerns were that I didn't…read morefeel heard as a patient, and the clinic appeared to schedule multiple patients at the same time, making it difficult to receive the individualized attention I expected. During one visit, I explained that my spouse's physical therapist spends a significant portion of each session performing soft tissue work on her upper back, which has been very beneficial. I asked Dr. Patel if we could incorporate a similar approach into my treatment. Instead, I was told that if I wanted soft tissue work, I should see a massage therapist. That response made me feel as though my concerns and treatment preferences were dismissed rather than discussed. My second appointment was even more frustrating. During my first visit, Dr. Patel spent time evaluating me and providing hands-on guidance. However, at my second appointment, she spent only a few minutes with me before handing me off to an assistant. The assistant instructed me to perform a few exercises and then left, leaving me to complete them on my own with little to no supervision. In my opinion, physical therapy should involve more than simply being told which exercises to do. I was expecting personalized guidance, correction of my form, progress monitoring, and hands-on treatment to help with my recovery. If I'm simply going to perform exercises by myself without meaningful supervision, I can find similar routines online for free. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations, and I left feeling that I was just another appointment on an overcrowded schedule rather than a patient receiving individualized care.

I have been to OrthoSport before for my shoulder and had great results with Edan. I was disappointed when I couldn't get in to see him sooner so I "shopped around" PT offices around the Mission Viejo area near the hospital. I did not like what I saw-chaos, overcrowding, non-professional very young staff, patients left alone doing exercises, cluttered office, etc. I went back to OrthoSport to beg Edan to fit me in, and he did! When you walk into the office, the ambience is relaxing, calm, soothing music playing and very welcoming. This is what I expect -an environment as if you were walking into a Hoag facility or a 5-star PT office. They don't overbook to try to get as many clients into the office at one time. This allows you to get one to one attention from the PT Assistants which is so nice. The office is very clean, each table is wiped down after each client, the equipment is well cared for, ample parking with easy access to the front of the office. During my first visit, I was a total mess--afraid to move my arm that was in a sling for so long. Edan is professional, supportive, personable, knowledgeable, patient, and has impeccable credentials. He takes the time to explain things and is empathetic and encouraging. The two remote receptionists are very welcoming. The PT Assistants are truly caring and sincere when they are working with me, giving me one to one attention, coaching and guiding me along. The PT Assistants in the office will become future DPT's. I am on the road to recovery. I thought I would never get to this point. You have to do the daily home exercises in order to see improvement.
