Dr Lewing and all the Nurses I've encountered were fantastic!!! Dr Lewing saved my life by insisting I undergo a cystoscopy despite a CT Scan not showing anything. After many treatments and continued aftercare, my health has significantly improved! The scheduling and vast number of appointments have been timely and prompt. I just went to this establishment on Monday and the doctor wanted to run a cat scan there on Friday. They gave me barium to drink Friday morning and when I showed up for the test after drinking it, they informed me that I had to pay them 360 dollars up front. I was so mad because no one informed me of that. They said they called me Thursday which they never did, I even showed them all my phone messages and their call wasn't there. Lees Summit location. Very poor appointment line. I tried to make an appointment for the last month and a half with no success and deal with a rude unhelpful lady on the appointment line. I had my primary care DR do a referral to advanced Urologic Associates ( DR Mcintosh) on the recommendation from my gastroenterologist. The first time I called the lady said I need an ultrasound before she could make an appointment. I told her i just had one done at the VA , she said she wouldn't make the appointment unless they had a copy. So I went to the VA and got the results and called back to make an appointment. She still wouldn't make an appointment because I need to fax the results to her and I needed the disk also. I couldn't get the disk from the VA so I talked to my primary care provider and had them do a referral for an ultrasound and my primary care nurse called the appointment line and told them that I had the ultrasound scheduled Monday morning and the lady at the appointment line said since I had an appointment for the ultrasound ,that they would call me in the next few days and get the appointment scheduled. That never happened. I get the ultrasound done and had the results and the disk and waited a week and a half with no call, so I called them again. This time said they would not schedule me an appointment unless I faxed the results to them . I don't have the ability to fax so I called my DR again and they faxed the results to them and they called to verify they got the fax, they said the did and they would call me. After waiting 2 weeks I called back and tried to make the appointment again. I talked to the same person that is very unhelpful and this time they said they have the results but don't have the referral that my DR wrote for me and would not schedule me until she got that faxed to her. so I called my insurance (TRICARE) and talked to them and they faxed the referral to them. So I called back to make an appointment and the lady told me she didn't get it and she couldn't make me the appointment. I told her my insurance just faxed to the fax# 10 minutes earlier , she let out a sigh and put me on hold. When she came back she said that she already had that paperwork and needed something different than the referral authorization that my insurance just sent. So after a month and a half of calls from me and 2 calls from my primary care DRs office and an additional ultrasound and a couple faxes, and no phone calls from them saying that they need some more paperwork they still would not schedule me for an appointment. So I called my referral management phone # and asked them tho change the referral to a different provider, so they switched it to KC urology care and faxed then the referral . I called KC Urology Care and they scheduled me an appointment and it took only 5 minutes. They were very helpful and said they would call if the needed more info or paperwork. So the bottom line is Advance Urologic Associates Dr may be good (but I don't know) but the appointment line staff is rude and unhelpful and will not call you if there are problems or even if they tell your DRs office they will. I lost a month and a half worth treatment and suffering because of this pathetic appointment line and had to eventually had to use a different provider. read more

I made an appointment with them because they are in Lee's Summit where I live and they actually gave me directions to the Lee's Summit office in the St Luke's East building but apparently they set up the appointment for the Independence office. I also had to obtain my own CT scan records as for some reason they can't seem to do that. I took off work for this and I showed up 15 mins before my appointment but was informed that it was at the Independence office and the Dr. Refused to honor my appointment since I would now be late due to their scheduling me in the wrong office. They show no regard for wasting my time nor for my health. read more
