Had the boys over to remove a few dead trees and they did such a good job for a fair price that I had them back to finish other trees and do stump removal for future yard grading/reseeding. Very skilled crew, especially the climber and the crane operator. Watching a 100ft pine cut and brought over the top of my house was exciting to say the least. Adding the stump removals to the job after they arrived was no problem. Well organized, enough men for the job, and cleanup was complete. Recommended. read more

had an estimate- told the guy i wanted 3 trees down and 2 of them i wanted the tops cut down and sides made thinner. wuite says thin and elevation so i think great. they show up and say no elevation means brung the canopy up , we cant cut down and thin means only dead wood. ok well maybe u shouldve explained that. disappointing- the office happens to call me so i tell them i found that disappointing that the only reason i wanted thise trees done was to make them smaller but theyre here so whatever. as im discussing w the lady i walk to my backyard and they have butchered my favorite tree. apprently taking the canopy up means making it into a giant mushroom and completely removing all the privacy between me and my neighbor. i actually started crying it was so jarring to see . at this point the sup comes over and apologies that the estimator didnt explain and asks me ab the other tree. so ok fine whats done is done and now i have no choice but to even out the other tree. i tell him i wanted the exact opposite i got so he takes down some extra branches of one of my neighbors trees to make up for it. seemed fine until i realize that the literal one 3 ft section of my backyard i told them to be careful of bc my dogs ashes were there was covered in debris and they had destroyed one of the ornaments i had marking the ashes and just removed the other w not one word to me. sup guy days dont worry well find the other one no way its gone. i had to go over to my neighbors bc they were done in my yard and ask where my lawn ornament was to which he just said sorry we cant find it. no offer to replace it no i know we already screwed up and this area meant a lot to you- just sorry. go back over and they moved the statue my dogs ashes are under and left 2 fr wide 5 in deep holes in my backyard. had to ask then to fix them- which they did so fine but if i hadnt asked??? now i look out there and my memorial tree and garden is just destroyed. i tried to let it go all day and just chalk it up as a lesson to myself to always make sure i get every detail in writing ahead of time. ill take my portion of accountability on that but i had to write this review bc really none of what happened today should have. highly advise u stay away if you want anything but full tree removal and want any part of hour yard treated w extra respect and kindness- these things are just not in their wheelhouse. read more

Do not hire these guys. Their wood 1st of all is not very good, does not burn at all. I hired them twice to do tree work in my yard and they don't seem to like confirming a time so you can be there and they can do their shoddy at best work. 1st time I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I asked them to give me a date & time which they never did. Just came over and cut down the trees. The 2nd time I asked that they wait until I get back from vacation.....nope, tore my fence down, left it on the ground and stated in the email they were able to put it back up, and did not complete the job. Then they threatened to send the remaining balance to collections without offering a discount for the incomplete job. Not a very good company. They only seem to call you back when you owe them money, not when you try to schedule a time and leave numerous voice mails. read more

Hired them to trim about 3 trees & paid $800 for them to just snip some ends off... It still looked the same. On top of that there were still dead branches. I could tell they barley did anything because it didn't take them much time. Total rip off. Do not waste your time or money. read more

They do not answer emails and are very difficult to work with. I offered to pay in advance which they declined, then they starting harassing me for payment before I ever saw an invoice. When an invoice was finally sent it was wrong. Got a call from someone in the office three minutes after the correct invoice was finally emailed to me looking for payment. I cannot eye-roll enough at this ridiculous business. The actual tree trimmers did a great job - I hope they all find employment with reputable companies. read more

Paid $900 cash for kiln-dried process wood. We purchased it last year and it was awesome. This year we received green (will not burn), unprocessed huge logs (have to be split 2-3 times more) wood. When we inquired, the manager told us that they didn't have any kiln-dried, that they bought it last year. We called everyday for 2 weeks, stopped into their facility almost every day requesting them to take it back & refund our money. The manager said the owner would contact us. Not one call back from manager nor the owner!! We are stuck with green wood, and had to buy a splitter to complete the job. This cost us an astronomical amount of money for wood that will not be ready to burn for months! Steer clear - do yourself a favor. Read the negative comments on on their lack of customer service. Please share this so no one else gets ripped off by these guys! Share, share, share!!!!! read more

Advantage Tree Service did some work on our neighbor's property. They blocked our street with their equipment and trucks. Our mail could not be delivered. Medical service ride vehicles were not able to make it down the street, so medical appointments were missed. Any time anyone had to drive up or down the street, or asked them to move their equipment, they were rude and acted like the request was ridiculous. Drivers literally had to go off the street just to get to and from their homes. They were not professional or courteous at all. I would not want them in my neighborhood again. read more

My neighbor hired these amateurs to remove a tree on the property line. Since the branches extend over my property I would expect a heads up so that I could cover our new spa and furniture. Called the office to allow me ten minutes to get tarps to cover. Didn't bother to answer until it was too late. When I asked that the yard be cleaned up and the sawdust be removed they came in with a blower and scattered it all over the yard and into the folds of the spa cover. I was told I would have to buy a shop vac and clean it up myself. I just had a second surgery and am not very mobile. What a mess! read more

I've used this company before to take down a massive willow tree in the front of our yard and a couple other trees around our property. They did such a fantastic job. Not a single stick or leaf was left behind after they were done. I reached out again yesterday to have them come by to give us a quote for another tree next to our house and they came the next day at 9am. I love working with this group because they are honest and their prices are fair. When they came to look at the tree they said it didnt need to come down right away but they could see that there was definite termite damage and that it should come down in the next couple of months. Its rare to find such an honest group like this company. Highly recommend!! read more

The customer service is rude and unprofessional. The crew performed a difficult tree removal but was unable to complete the job of grinding the stump for several months due to wet ground. I understood. When completed I paid the balance of the invoice according to the amount on the invoice, which I found out later was incorrectly entered BY ADVANTAGE on the invoice!!! The difference was $100 plus tax, and they sent me rude emails wanting to know when I would pay, and it was then that I learned that there was an error, ON THEIR PART, and they started sending rude emails telling me that I was 70 days late!!! The fact that I paid over $3,000 plus the amount that was on their invoice timely and they still sent rude emails. Never again. read more

1) I had an appointment for a Friday afternoon and was waiting until I received a call asking if I could reschedule. Fine, NP.. 2) guy came and we spent 30+ minutes discussing in detail which trees to remove, which ones to keep, etc. He said he would be in touch within days with an estimate. A week later, I still had not received a response. Over the next 2 weeks, I called and left 3 VMs and emailed as well. Over a month later, still no response. Complete waste of my time. read more

If any one is looking for firewood this year, DO NOT call advantage tree service. We had a delivery of what they said was seasoned wood which was actually so wet that it put out an existing fire. We have called them 3 times with no results. This wood will not burn at all. So disappointed in the dishonesty and lack of customer service. Sorry I had to resort to this but wanted to make others aware of this company. read more

These guys are great. They took down a truly amazing number of trees on our property in one day. A nasty, cold, rainy day, with 4 guys, an EPIC crane, a wood chipper which just shredded HUGE tree trunks into tiny chips, and the cutest little bobcat-type log mover I've ever seen. It was like watching a beautifully choreographed ballet as entire trees were literally flown over the house and garage. I wish I'd recorded it so I could set it to music. Our neighbors were so impressed they've set up appointments as well. And...our closest neighbor asked them to dump all the wood chipper contents onto his property (he's filling in some land down by the stream on both our properties) and they dumped all 5 loads for free. They were happy to do it since it meant they didn't have to drive to their home base to offload the wood chips. These guys are very professional. The "kid" (I'm 60 so everyone looks like a kid to me) who came out to give us the estimate was great. I had marked all the trees to come down with red paint and also told him that I wanted to keep certain trees intact, since I will be using the lumber for our upcoming home addition. The guys who showed up on the day of the job knew EXACTLY which trees to cut and checked with me periodically to make sure they didn't chip up any trees I was saving for hand-hewn beams for the addition. They had to park their absurdly large and heavy crane in the driveway and the side of the house and they didn't even destroy any of our landscaping. Definitely hire these guys. You will not be sorry. read more
