Just so you know, Sole Sport moved after Christmastime and is now housed near the new site of…read moreAffinity Plus Credit Union in the Latsch & Sons Bldg. New business address is: 114 East Second Street, Winona, MN 55987 and phone number remains (507) 474-7653 So, my review: As stated by the other reviewer, this store is indeed a gem for outdoor gear, active-life clothing in Winona. One of my outdoor interests is kayaking and this place had a direct pipeline to Current Designs and Wenonah Canoe (top-of-the-line canoe and kayak manufacturers here in town) Through the work of Mike L., Avery P., Jacob C. and other wonderful staff here, I purchased my first kayak and other related paddling gear. But, I also learned a lot about how to use the gear and what to buy/not buy for my skill level. Just today, got an incredible deal on a carbon Werner kayak paddle. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the store stocks excellent high-quality brand-name outdoor gear/active clothing. It was funny to me to find out the store was more well-known as a clothes shop vs. as a camping/climbing store (like REI). But, it has it all, and if they don't have it, then ask, because they can probably order it in. For those folks who don't run triathlons or scale mountains every weekend, this place still has something to offer. Don't be intimidated if youre not some super-athlete with a high VO2 max, you'll still feel welcome, which I've come to appreciate about Sole Sport. Keep up the good work, guys, and thanks for all the help!

Sleeping Bag Convert 20° 850 x-long, x-wide. - I bought this sleeping bag and unfortunately did not…read moreuse it until after the 40 day return policy. On my first trip out this week on the PCT night temperatures were 38°. I woke up freezing. I was sleeping on a klymit insulated pad and my underside was warm however my shoulder and torso was so cold I could not sleep. The bag weight was great however the temperature rating was not accurate for me. What's unusual is I am a warm sleeper to begin with. I'll be switching back to my old 20° bag which is heavier but at least I'll be able to sleep. Make sure you try the bag out before the 40 days passes or Enlightened Equipment will not find a fair solution once they have your money. Update - It was suggested by an informed EE equipment user the down in my bag had likely shifted. Upon closer inspection the down in the foot box area was three times thicker than the shoulder area. A simple shake of the bag forcing the down back into the shoulder area fixed it and the loft is now consistent. I used the bag again in a cold environment and did not get cold. The bag is lightweight and served me well my last trip. They are a little pricey. I still believe once they have your money and the 40 days have past your on your own. Improvements on the bag could include a zipper that doesn't get caught up so easily and more baffles in different directions to keep the down from shifting.

Unfortunately, I cannot say positive things about this company…read more I purchased a quilt in November 2018 after watching positive reviews of their items on YouTube, and it arrived January 18th. Convert Custom - $370 (Down Type (DownTek Treated): 850, Temperature: 0°F (-17°C), Length: Short, Width: Regular, Outside Fabric Options: Navy 10D, Inside Fabric Color: Charcoal 10D) I tried it out in the comfort of my home (and bed) for two nights to test the quality. Heat retained very well, but was still allowed to escape through the open footbox, if needed. It also complimented by liner perfectly. However, after the 2nd use, I woke up with feathers all over my bed. A 1.5 inch hole formed toward the top-middle inside portion of the bag, causing the down to leak out. I contacted to Enlightened Equipment about this for warranty repair. After sending back my quilt, EE told me that this damage would no longer be covered under their "lifetime warranty" and I would have to pay a $60 repair fee. While their products can withstand "multiple thru hikes, receiving 300+ nights of use without an issue," it could not withstand 2 nights in my bed (with a liner). Their logic was that that this type of damage could only be done through improper use. And I understand the defense -- why should anyone believe what I am saying is true? "Our bags have lasted us 300+ nights, and this guy is saying it tore after his second night... in his bed?" I am telling you it did. But I also understand that anyone reading this review has the right to not believe me. I followed up with them numerous times and received no reply. I had to start new claim #s to receive responses. My intent was never to swindle anyone out of a warranty, but to just have and use a good-quality quilt. I regret that I was never able to show it real light... I am ultimately disappointed with the quality and lack of customer service at this company. Their product had so much potential in my eyes, and I applaud the marketing, but I am very disappointed with the follow through.

No Grumpy Old Men found here just friendly service and a lot of bait for your buck! The young man behind the counter always greets us with a smile, and gave helpful recommendations on what bait to use depending on what we were fishing after that day. I bought the usual minnows and took the recommended night crawlers hoping to catch CatfishHunter! I didn't catch him (story of my life) but ended up reeling in a big one, a nice looking Northern Pike! I know pics or it didn't happen, guess I'll have to post it! The shop also has some snacks and soda including locally made jerky, the fish are not the only ones who need to eat! If that's not enough right next door is Emma's Diner, I was told the locals are hooked on the sandwiches so definitely need to catch one of those next time I'm in town. Next time your in the area and in need of some bait, give them a try! Great bait, great prices, and great service and that's no fish story!

They had a lot of gear, some things I've never seen before (and I've been to plenty of bait shops)... and it was very clean and organized. We went back probably 3 times for more bait over the span of our trip. Would definitely recommend!
