I felt like my car was pulling to the left as I drove, as well as hearing a tick tick tick sound as I drove. I booked an appointment for the next morning. My car was taken in for inspection right away. The end result? An alignment was needed, which they could not do currently and the tick sound non existent. They did recommend an oil change which I figured it was nearly time for anyway. Around 11:45 this morning (Saturday after Thanksgiving,) I was leaving Fairfield, headed back down to the South Bay, when my tire pressure light came on. I was stressed, because I had to be somewhere at a certain time, and I assumed there was a nail in my tire. Well, I stopped at Meineke and the super nice guy in the office helped me out immediately. He checked all my tires, told me that actually they were all below their proper air pressure, and that's why the light came on. Made reservation for a uhaul truck a month ago. Scheduled to pick up at 9am I got there at 10. Figured its reserved and for a one way trip so I didnt have to bring the truck back so no hurry. Nope he rented truck out 15 mins before I got there without calling ANYONE to see if we were running late. They were no help in trying to get us another truck somewhere else. 5-Star Review for Meineke Car Care Center I have all good things to say about the team at Meineke, especially Devonte and Joe! We came in thinking our 2004 Toyota had an issue with the fuel injector or spark plugs, and we shared our concerns right away. Devonte was professional and understanding, letting us know they'd need to keep the car overnight since it was already late in the day. The very next morning, Joe called with the diagnosis--and boy, were we surprised! Turns out, the issue wasn't mechanical at all--we were just using the wrong key! I had only ever used the one key before, but i misplaced the set that that had the one key on it. We came across this other set in a drawer and it had two keys. I never knew there was a specific key for the doors only. Oops! Joe explained everything clearly and patiently, and they didn't even charge us for their time. This could've turned into an unnecessary repair expense, but their honesty and integrity saved us from all that. I was on a long drive when some lights came on my dash so I pulled over and came to this place bc I saw it from the freeway. The staff are so kind and knowledgeable and honest. They were able to fix my problems with a cheap and easy solution. They also seemed to really care for their customers. Only positive thing I have to say about this place is that the front desk person that I talked to was very knowledgeable about cars and always friendly & welcoming so that's the only reason why this review gets two stars instead of one. BUT besides that NO STARS, they took a FULL 7 days to fix my car which is ridiculous, during that time I was carless & had to catch Uber to work & back home & one of the days they told me they had got the wrong part one which delayed it even more & I received no apology no nothing for thier mistake! delaying me to get my car back and additional day or two && NOT only that they NEVER called me to keep me updated on my car ethier! I greatly recommend Meineke for all your car maintenance and repairs. I went to Meineke yesterday to get a check engine light diagnostic done on my car. I previously went to AAA auto repair in Fairfield where it took 7 hours for them to tell me what the problem was and wanted to charge me almost $1500 to fix the problem including the $165 diagnostic fee. It took Meineke one hour to provide me with the problem and $700 less to fix (same problem indicated by AAA) with the diagnostic fee waived. Meineke was very considerate and worked with me to schedule the repair that would not impact my ability to have my car for work. Never tried to sell me on items that my car did not need. Awesome customer care and service. You will not go wrong trusting them with your vehicle. read more

Hello. I only wanted to share my experience so others do not run into the problem I am having. I have been to Aegis a few times for an oil change and everything seemed to be okay. The last time I went in April 2023 they recommended I do my rear brakes, so I did. I spent $719.56 to just get the read brakes done. Everything seemed good until the day after. I started hearing a loud rubbing noise coming from both rear tires after I had been driving for a few miles. I attached a video of this sound. I took it back to them and the first time they said it looks fine so just drive it. That it could be my shocks and I should get them done. This did not make sense to me because the noise did not start until they messed with my brakes. The noise also gets louder when I push and let off the brakes. The noise got worse so I took it back again and they changed the brand of brake pads. The sound went away for a few weeks and came back. I have decided I do not want to go back and get told everything is fine and waste my time again. Obviously they did something to cause this noise on my car and are not knowledgeable enough to fix it. So, please do not get your brakes done here. I still have not gotten my brakes fixed and it's very upsetting I spent so much money to ruin my rear brakes. Driving around with that noise is super embarrassing. I think a oil change is all I would do here honestly. read more

bad mechanics I wouldn't let them repair my lawn mower. Went in for an oil change came out with a head ache. Took my car in here for an oil change they forgot to put the drain plug back in the oil pan( yes they had me driving my car around with no oil in it.) I took it back they then lied and said that the mechanic spilled oil and that they would clean it off. I get my car back a couple hours go by my car starts smoking and turns off do to low oil levels. I than had to get the car towed to my house (which they didn't even offer to pay for) next morning they sent a tow truck to my house to pick up the car up to take it to there shop it took them 3 times for them to realize they had left my drain plug out. They then tried to fill my oil up and send me On my way! Without any compensation had I not said something to them they would have done so (crooks). So the manager says and agrees to a bunch of stuff for compensating as well as a refund. He agreed to cover my deductible for my next repair which tbh I didn't even want them to do work on my car any more at that point when I didn't end up going back to get the work that was promised to me he than tried to charge me half of the deductible even though he agreed to pay full deductible. I'm writing this review almost 2 months later and still have yet to receive a refund tbh I should have just took them to court for damage of property these guys are shady mechanics getting by on to meineke name ps they forgot to put a sticker to tell me when I need my oil change again as well get you head out your fellas read more

Great promotional price on an oil change so I requested an estimate on a 100K mile service. Parts mark up over 400%. $56.67 dollars for a spark plug, I took the part number and I found them from $8 to $13 per plug. What kind of Repair shop charges $175.00 per hr for Labor and marks up auto parts by over 400%? To me this is Dishonest and just another sign of CORPORATE CORRUPTION AT ITS WORST. I was told I needed 4 new tires, only needed 2. The tires were 60k and because they didn't rotate them as I was told would be done with EVERY oil change I only got 22k. I was told I needed all new breaks urgently, not needed for at least another 10,000 miles. I was told I needed an air filter mine was not dirty. I've gone here for 6+ years with both cars. I wonder how much I've spent on unnecessary repairs in the past. Now I don't trust them at all after this visit. I'll NEVER go back there. read more

These people are unscrupulous and unethical. I came in to get a oil change done on my SUV. The guy behind the counter first tells me that tire rotation is not included in the price he quoted me. I got a text while waiting for my vehicle that they were rotating my tires. So I asked the technician and he tells me with a straight face 'its not needed'. This sounded unbelievable to me after 10K miles and so I took it to Costco and got it done. Oh and the receipt they gave me shows that they performed a tire rotation. Talk about shady and deceptive business practices. I emailed their customer service folks but since this is a franchise, not surprisingly, no one responded, . Stay away folks. This place is not worth your time or money. To the 'no name' Meineke Folks asking me to call or write. Please...its a little too late for that. The vehicle was serviced on 11-14-20 and I emailed and called on 11-15-20 with my concerns. I didn't get a response until I posted this review. I normally don't post reviews about small businesses which are hurting anyway, because of the pandemic. I just don't go back if the product or service is bad. Took my car in to have a magnaflow exhaust put in. I paid a premium by any standards to have them install it. This was on 1-31-18. I was having my tires changed the other day from winter to summers and they pointed out i had a big dent on one of the mufflers. Very disappointed in the fact that they most likely dropped it during installation and of course didnt say anything about it. Lack of integrity should make you wonder what else do these people not mention when working on other peoples cars. Not a very trustworthy place. For the same prices you could take your car to a dealership which i would highly recommend over this place. read more

My name is Pat and I am a female senior citizen. I am not very proactive when it comes to my auto care. If my low-pressure tire light comes on I'll have the tires checked, if my check engine light comes on I'll take it to a mechanic in hopes that it's nothing serious, and when my oil change light comes on, I'll take it for an oil change, which is what happened. Once the oil change light came on I immediately took my car to Aegis. Thank goodness I did because they "literally" saved my life. I have nothing but great things to say about Joe, Scott, and the mechanic Caesar. Professional, caring, empathetic, friendly, and honest. Again, they saved my life. This place is no longer the reliable place is once used to be. Once they changed managers things changed for the worse. I no longer go here because on two different occasions they have lied about the services they performed. I was getting suspicious why they finished my tire rotations so fast and so I did a test. I put a mark on the tire to see if it changed locations on the rotations and sure enough the mark was still in the same tire as where I left it. I confronted them about it and they apologized so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. When it happened a second time, I decided this place is no longer a reliable and honest place and take my business elsewhere. On my last visit, I was told that my car needed some Fixing...which obviously means it's going to be expensive. Lol.
