This Bondi Beach outpost of Aesop is pretty standard, if on the small size. I didn't do much browsing since I knew exactly what I needed. As usual, I was offered free samples but this time my purchase came in a cute, reusable, cloth drawstring bag. Nice touch, Aesop. For those of you new to Australia's iconic skin care brand, I highly recommend the Resurrection Rinse-Free Hand Wash. I never travel without it. It smells heavenly, especially when you apply it on a plane that's anything but! Also, everyone who works at Aesop has encyclopedia-like knowledge about the range, so don't hesitate to ask.

It's also less expensive because their eye shadows are so pigmented that you only ever need to use a little bit of the product. Whether you're looking for a matte or more sparkly eye shadow, they have all of them. There are only two stores in Sydney that stock Inglot make up: there's one in Westfield Bondi Junction and the other one's in Westfield Chatswood. A friend bought me a gift card from there and I was ecstatic to finally use it. We had a good long browse at the colours (she has a ten colour palette and she says she uses less than half of them!) so taking this in mind, I opted for a new range 'Rainbow eye shadow' where there's three shades in the one square. It's great value for money if you want a couple of shades of a colour to choose from, rather than buying a whole square of the one colour. The one downfall is the packaging unfortunately. The lid of the palette is held down magnetically, and although this doesn't slide off, when you slide off the lid it's easier to scratch the eye shadow beneath. The girl at this store was a little bit of a downer too. She seemed really reluctant to help us out, and seemed pretty bored with the whole concept of customer service. Unfortunate that.

Gorgeous, bubbly make up artists work there and are willing to help you with suggestions for colour and style. A huge range of colours are available in different textures of eye shadows, shiny or matte. Lip glosses that are packaged in look-a-like test tubes are a thick consistency and really stay on your lips. Unbelievable! The colour I got unfortunately wasn't great on me, too pale, and I wished I had more time to have chosen correctly. I wouldn't mind building up a bit of a collection though! At $22 that is definitely feasible.

I went into Clearskin Bondi for micro needling due to old acne scarring and melasma. I had a skin…read moreconsultation with one of their senior skin consultants and was convinced I needed their Sebaceous Gland Ablation (SGA) prior to getting any micro needling. Their theory behind selling me the SGA (I did not go in for this) was to remove all "rogue" sebaceous glands that cause breakouts prior to smoothing my skin. Sounded good, despite my skepticism (We have countless sebaceous glands which can become infected at any time, its impossible to extinguish them all.) I asked if there was any downtime and I emphasized I would have to do the procedure later if there was, due to, a busy week with family parties and visitors. She said there would be NO downtime and reassured me my skin would look BETTER "instantly" after the procedure and I could attend my family's party a few hours later, "looking fab". I mentioned to the consultant (again) that breaking out wasn't my main concern and my skin was highly sensitive and reactive. She reassured me my skin would look amazing and up sold me the procedure. I was convinced by her confidence and perceived knowledge of skincare. She asked me to trust her and said she will have my skin perfect in no time. So I went along with her recommendation. I did the procedure and once it was done, I was horrified. My skin was red and swollen. I looked like I had cystic acne. I was told it would calm down. They tried to apply some redness reducing cream and makeup but it didn't help. I was on the verge of tears. Hours later, my skin was getting worse. I could not attend our family party and then the nightmare started. For the next week, my skin became even worse. I had small burn marks on every pore treated (pretty much my whole face) and they started to become even more red, raised and infected. I spoke with the head office customer service, the manager of the clinic told me to come in for red light therapy. I did, nothing helped. I've tried calling again and the manager will not return my calls. Customer service was also rude and not helpful. My skin is now scarred with worse hyper pigmentation than when I went in. I will have to spend even more money to fix it. So I basically paid nearly $300.00 to have my face ruined. According to Clearskin clinics this is not a typical reaction, however, I was completely misled and would have never done the procedure if there was a risk for what I'm going through. Please be careful and research everything prior to trusting anyone with your skin. Hope this helps.
